It’s the same sad cs story - you see something, think “later” & later? You either can’t recall which shop, or it’s gone, or both. Reckless impulsive purchase is sometimes the Right Idea. Not that considered acquisition isn’t good too, but sometimes the pang of “missed it” is sharp....

@Miró I think I would have asked her not to chat as she wasn't wearing a mask, and got up & moved to another seat if she persisted.

I found a gorgeous ivory Avoca Mill mohair & wool blanket for £7.50, and a North Face thigh length trench jacket for £6 the other day. Sadly the jacket doesn't fit but it will be washed & Ebayed instead.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

First visit to a CS for a while, got myself a nice M & S top in Kirkwood hospice main shop in Huddersfield, £4 not that cheap but not many CS's seem to stock plus sizes, then in the Kirkwood hospice pop up shop I got 3 books & an OS map of a localish are for 50p each, the map was the laminated type which are normally about £15 each, also picked up a John Deere tractor ice cube/ mould 50p which will be great for a friends tractor mad 4 year old twin grand daughters. to finish the day off popped into the Barnados shop which all tops & dresses where £1 nearly walked straight out as it was colour sorted which I hate, thankfully spotted a regatta outdoor shirt which my friend wears most of the time, quick phone call to find out her size, of course no answer so took a risk it was right size, 10 minutes later she rang back & yes it was her size, sent her a picture when I got home & the response was she was over the moon as it was same style as her favourite regatta shirt.8

Bargains abounded at the chazzer today.
My haul was a large thermal mug, 3 mini-packs of crayons, a very stylish luggage tag, a beautiful heavy and ornate steel tray, a BNWT Tala set of 8 piping nozzles with piping bag and 3 books, for the grand total of £4.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.5 -

Anyway, I managed to be admitted to my local BHF shop a couple of days ago and snagged a copy of the rather wonderful Dorling Kindersley edition of the RHS What Plant When. It lists garden plants by season and then by colour of flower, foliage or berries and includes a good colour photograph for each entry. It cost £3 but for a two inch thick reference book with a comprehensive index I think that's very good value. I also bought the next size down in jeans as, rather wonderfully, I've shrunk so much that my current pair have started to slide down without a strong belt. I chose a non-stretch pair of size 10s from H & M for £4.50 in a lovely dark indigo with straight legs and they fitted perfectly, hoorah.
So my next project is to have a thorough sort out of my wardrobe and ebay or donate everything that is now too large and then see where that leaves me. I plan to do that through September and then use the chazzers to restock with any items that are needed to take me through to April/May next year.5 -
I might regret today's purchase! From the only chazza I could find open in Ripon today.... a linen dress in an abstract leafy pattern of two shades of green... priced at £10. An M & S creation but beautifully made - even has a weighted hem, (like wot HMQ has), must have been from one of their 'special limited edition range? Possibly b/n as had the plastic thing linking the belt to the dress. Anyhoo, my challenge now is to remodel it down 3 sizes!!! I just loved the fabric!6
