Not at all Miró, I always find your posts on this thread interesting because of the detail you include which gives me clear mental pictures of how you are using your finds with your existing wardrobe. Despite your colour palette being very different from mine I have found your posts about matching and toning shades really helpful in refining my own wardrobe to reduce/eliminate items that don't go with anything else.
This year I am planning to be new shoes, socks, lingerie, glasses frames, hairstyle and pyjamas with chazza everything else and so far I am on track thanks mostly to assiduous reading of this thread and following of your and others footsteps.
I have achieved the lingerie with only six visits to Marks and Spencer so onwards and upwards with a big thankyou to all the regulars on here and other threads on the forum.

@goldfinches I was searching my wardrobe last night for a top to wear with some jeans & think I will have to do as you've said & sort everything out so things that don't have at least one "partner" get donated. I have a lot of random tops & skirts, and need to be brutal about what I wear & what is aspirational, particularly now I only need work wear for half a week at most.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@Floss that does sound very much what I found I had. I think what I'd done was to see something and think "that's lovely and would be very nice with this or that item or items" but then never acquired the additional elements to make the outfit. I thus have ended up with a lovely chunky dark brown leather belt for jeans but black walking shoes and so on. Making the decisions as to which way to go is hard I'm finding but I am determined to make life easier by cutting down on choices where I can by canny planning ahead, at least that's what I'm telling myself as I heave another groaning hanger off the rail!
Can I ask whether it is considered acceptable to donate almost new sports bras to charity shops as I have discovered some in a corner of a drawer which are in nearly pristine condition and that will never fit me again, I hope, as I have lost so much weight. Someone might be glad of them at reduced prices but I wonder what others on here think about whether they would ever consider purchasing such an item from a chazza?

Hi goldfinches,
Sports bras can be so expensive and some cancer charities use bras as part of a window display for breast cancer awareness. I do know friends who choose to buy a good quality bra from charity rather than a "primark or another" new so I would have no hesitation in donating.
Hello all 😁
I have an in to add of 2 pairs girls grey school trousers for the niece at £1 each, so we are all very pleased. I must remember to take my reading glasses with me next time!
Dropped off a donation bag today but third time lucky as it has been turned away twice due to no space. Bag of nice things so wanted it to end up in the right place, it may have helped that the bag was open at the top and the had two new boxes of clarks children's shoes showing!!
Hope you have a lucky find day to anyone who is chazzering tomorrow.

Hello Sam and thankyou for your reply, I've never consciously noticed those displays so am very glad to be told about them. I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached! I'll make up a bag forthwith and will take on board your hint as to putting desirable items in view at the top as well!
That's all for now, sweet dreams to all, goldfinches."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

I’ve had a good haul!
Denby maplewood pattern 6 teacups & saucersLittle Denby hors d’oeuvres dish rectangular but with octagonal corners, in that dark brown that says check the basestamp I could be over a century old...A length of American Christmas fabric sewn into a bag (which I propose to unpick for Festive face mask usage )A gents shirt, mask linings for the use of& (not from a charity shop alas) an Anglepoise lamp which needs a little rewiring (so little even I should be able to do it) as a birthday present to myself. They had a red one too, but it needed a lot more work & anyway some design classics are deserve to be appreciated in monochrome. (I love the way it’s looking out of the bag at me, almost quizzically.)5 -

If it looks as nice as that I wouldn't wear it for dog walking!
I have decided that I don't need 4 (insert embarrassed face emoji) down coats - khaki Zara, olive green Monsoon, navy Per Una & a black one...and especially not when I also have a Regatta stormproof coat, a Per Una down jacket & a lightweight UniQlo down jacket...in my defence I used to live in Blackpool and would walk along the front regularly, but even so! So, Per Una jacket & Monsoon coat will be Ebayed, Zara coat (long but lightweight) is for everyday including driving to work, I have vac-packed the black one & stored it in the car as an emergency coat & best Per Una coat is hanging in the wardrobe with Regatta coat & UniQlo jacket.
If only I could be as decisive about everything else!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Ahh, @floss you are a coat person, same as plus ones mum who is dubbed "many coats mum" I am an 8 and coat a 12
so more for the warmth when out for an age with the dogs. Coat prices on ebay are crazy at the moment (I keep losing out on bids) so would be a good time to list I think. Have had no other buys since March 😭 so went a bit mad but you can't even try stuff on these days!
I was always taught good coat, good shoes by my mum 😂
2 of the shops have gone to a colour code method (not in sizes) so that was very frustrating. I've been going for so many years even before it was the fashion 😂
Invest those sales into something new you really love?

Did the rounds of the Harrogate charity shops this afty....only half of them were shut! Prices seemed very high in those that were open in comparison to my usual haunts but I did purchase another handbag hook for 50p. And now it sounds like we are about to go into lockdown again round here...no idea what it will mean this time....will all the shops close again? Will life ever be the same again....pours another gin.....hic!!6
