Had a good visit to the big CRUK clearance shop today. Got a Red Herring, (Debenham's I think?), navy, knee length, single breasted formal coat for £3! Appears to be b/n but no tags. The pockets are still stitched and the spare buttons are attached in a plastic bag in the side seam and there are no 'sitting down' creases in the lining. Not exactly top quality but looks smart and fits well. (Isn't it a pain not being able to try stuff on now!!!) My fave find tho was a White Stuff heavy jersey dress in denim blue with a muted orange flowery pattern. Just below knee length, 3/4 sleeves, v neck and a slight empire line effect. Best of all IT HAS POCKETS!! Also priced at £3 and in excellent condition but probably not new so currently whizzing round the washing machine. I almost bought a very similar dress from Seasalt earlier in the year at full price (gulp!) but a little voice was telling me to be patient and wait.......
So, priced at the coffee exchange rate...
3 x coffees @ £2.25 each = £6.75
1 x coat + 1 x dress = £6 (Sorry Pret...I'll make me own coffee at home!)7 -

What's to stop you buying it, going outside trying it on and then taking it back for a refund if it doesn't fit? I heard a woman being told she could return for a credit note if something didn't fit which I can't see they should be able to do.I love dresses and skirts with pockets and am on the lookout for a long full circle skirt in tweed, with side seam pockets, the sort of thing you might call a walking skirt perhaps.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

No in's apart from donations to them which will be dropped off tomorrow. I'm trying hard to stay out the CS but hoping to find something tomorrow although if I do it will be 1 in 1 out, and I don't have any outs at the moment.

I deliberately avoided the chazzers yesterday and took a long seaside walk during my 2-hour break, it was a beautiful late summers day and wonderful! Didn't spend a penny but am still marvelling at my luck in where I live and my new-found time flexibility. Can't say hand on heart that I will have the same resolve to swerve the chazzer this afternoon, though. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.5 -
I woke up feeling stir crazy this morning and I finally went back to a charity shop as I felt like doing something "normal" again. It was a hospice one that I hadn't been to since March when lockdown began. I got a lot of good things as it seemed to have a lot of stock in. I got 10 new tops and a silver photo frame.
Very pleased to have some new clothes without resorting to fast fashion.

No longer into pink too old apparently and would preferably like some skinny jeans with 'yeah' on them 😂👖
Good luck to anyone hunting treasure in the CS today. Not being an old 🐄 but the que's are a bit off putting. Patience is a virtue as they say.
