  • Craghoppers walking trousers for £4 (this is London pricing mind).

£4 would be good for Craghoppers in most of the shops up here.
Also some free entertainment from the really camp guy who works in my local, involving mauve baubles and cold weather.

    Vada 'er.

Found a 'brand new in sealed box' heated pet bed today in the community chazza - priced at £3.50. Perfect for old arthritic Albert for Christmas! (Or should I give it to him now rather than have him wait?? After all the poor deprived old soul only has a fleecy bed that dangles from a radiator, a memory foam bed that sits right in front of the fire, and a self heating bed that he drags into sun puddles!):p

Fantastic! I paid £30 for one for my outdoor cats house.
Oh go on- give it to him now!

Not strictly cs but I had to share as I’m so delighted. Dh loves homemade soup and has often flirted with the idea of a soup maker but due to the cost has never taken the plunge. Yesterday on the local free cycle a tefal soup maker was offered. Well I’ve picked it up today it’s like new still in it’s box and is this one

It’s so good this will now be wrapped for DH for Xmas

With a cs sourced recipe book or three? Or a cs sourced set of garden tools? Even a pack of seeds - although cress soup still may take a while?!

I too would ply Albert with the bonus bed early, mostly to watch which he picks, and try to use that to divine the feline weather forecast. Though to avoid misunderstandings, I might give it on the 5th as a Sinterklaas gift.

I got very lucky today in our Cancer Research shop ( I seem to get all my best buys there)

Brand new pair of mens black trousers from Burtons ( button packs still attached) for £3, Mr S has a funeral to attend tomorrow and they fit him perfectly.

Whilst there I picked up a Tommy Hilfiger Shirt which is as close to new for £1.75

Then I found a velvet playsuit for the granddaughter from Next in the most beautiful colour which will do her for parties this time of year ( she's 6 ) for £2.95 and a nice knitted blue and white striped dress for just 75p and whilst at the till I found the cutest little unicorn moneybox for £2.75 which she will love

I didn't see anything that really caught my eye for myself in there but a bit down the road I saw some lovely BN Hugo Boss shoes in a charity shop window, in my size, and it took an iron will to carry on walking past. They were priced at £25 and I did ponder for a good while. However, and I know this is daft, but the CS in question was one of the religious ones which I don't really like going into. So that made up my mind lol
  • Thinking about this in BHF. £45 new Reduced from about £8 to about £4. Will it be waterproof? And long enough?

It looks a little dinky to be honest and I don't think it would see much action, in the Barbour sense of the word.
