I'm not sure if this is a good buy or not ( but I'm sure you'll tell me one way or another :D).
I've just bought a CROSS ballpoint pen in original box with some paperwork.

It's really slim (I hate thick pens) and is mainly matt silver with 3 rows of shiny 'milled' segments where your fingers go.

It's clearly made for a company (TDX Group) but it's really nice.

I paid £5.00 from the hospice shop.

Oooh I love a good pen!! Doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks...if you love the pen and will enjoy using it then it's a bargain at a fiver. (Have you seen the price of Cross pens???)

Had a wander around the chazza shops of Ilkley this afty in the pouring rain. Spotted a pair of Escada black velvet trousers, straight legged, lovely quality and looked new. Thought they were a bit pricy at £8.95 but having had a squiz online I found some selling at £395. They are going to haunt me now :o Do I go back or not??

On the bus coming home a young woman with a streaming cold and hacking cough sat next to me despite there being lots of other double seats free, (why do people do this??). Never once used a hanky just sniffed/hacked/snorted/snarfled all the way. Ended up pulling my scarf over my nose and mouth and turned as far away from her as i could. Grrrr...I'm gonna look for some of those face masks that the Japanse wear.....:D

    I do too.
I write greetings cards with a fountain pen in either pink or purple ink.

    I'd go back.
In fact, I'd have Googled them whilst still in the shop with them tucked firmly under my arm so that nobody else could bag them and then trotted hot-foot to the cash desk. ;)

Loving the fact , that you're making stuff to help rescue dogs :D
    Thanks for that.
Managed to make about 5 or 6 last year from fluffy tatty dressing gowns and old fleeces
in asst sizes. Apparently they were thrilled with them (the people- guess the dogs liked them too!)
I have more fleeces -with broken zips, old blankets bagged up in loft... waiting....
Must clear the 10 duvets first!
A joker today suggested I made a padded room when I got fed -up!I could then retire into it and meditate.

I often pick up great curtains for £1 per pair at Age Concern shop- duvet covers.
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I wish my two would wear coats. Being staffies they have quite thin fur, but are dedicated nudists :rotfl:

Its been a long time since I got anything good from a charity shop, but today I was on a roll

First off a pair of S Oliver ankle boots with clean bottoms so Im assuming new, 5.95

Then a Wallis LBD for 4.95

A Jeagar Black velvet top £3

and for Mr Suki a brand new pair of Wranglers for 3.99 and a pair of hardly worn next jeans 2.99

My girlfriend I was with picked up the most beautiful cocktail dress - as new - £12 - perfect for Christmas parties

We also found that one of our Local Charity shops has opened up a wedding shop where men should buy a complete suit and shirt for £20 (ex rentals) you would kit out the page boys and bridesmaid for £10 and wedding dresses started at £40, with tons of formal dresses and MOTB outfits ( hats and bags included) for very little indeed

They have done the room out lovely and even gone to town with the changing room all decked out with floor to ceiling mirrors, chaise longe , armchairs etc. we had a lovely time trying on hats and shoes whilst waiting for the rain to pass :)

Been looking for a new 'holiday' handbag for some time...the existing one is suffering badly from suntan lotion/mozzie repellant smears and general wear and tear. Having a very specific idea of what I wanted made it very hard to find! Til today in the Mind shop....

Colour: oak/tan to go with everything :)
Size: just big enough for phone, sunglasses, purse, brolly :)
Style: suitable for day & evening :)
Style: cross body with zipped pockets :)
Material: synthetic so faff-free, showerproof and hardwearing :)
    Price: cheapish :( (£9.50)

Nearly a full house but it was a b/n Gabor bag which do tend to be a little expensive. Very pleased :j

    Faints with shock _pale_

In your position I'd be doing some serious handbag maths and using the item at every opportunity.

Cost per use = £9.50 / number of outings
