Erm, maybe not! Morrison's have delicious doughnuts and one day I succumbed! (not very waist friendly) I decided I'd have one with my mug of fruit tea, no plate (why bother??) I soon found out why a plate would have been a good idea as jam squirted all over clean clothes and the mat!! Dogs were pleased.

    I love their custard doughnuts:p

miro - I agree that tea is for later in the day but china cups wouldn't last here so a sturdy mug is best.

Yesterday I had a look around the local CS when I collected DD from her shift there.

H&M black and white abstract dress with keyhole button fastening to the back and the sleeves, thin fabric with a dropped waist which is gathered - £1.

BNWT Zara blush pink edge to edge cardigan with belt and shawl collar £3.

Mens Timberland checked l/s shirt £2.50.

DD actually spotted the shirt and rang her dad to tell him, he loves it and it fits really well, she is a bit miffed because she wanted to get him it for Christmas but wasn't sure if he was medium or large.

A pair of M&S 'sculpt and lift' grey leggings, excellent condition.
    £1.00 Air Ambulance.

I wear leggings round the house and am replacing my poor quality Primark ones with better brands.

I'd rather pay £3.00 for M&S, George, TU etc from a charity shop than buy new from Primark.
These are so good, I may decide to wear them for casual days out.

    And they're 'short'.

What do you mean 'this time of year'?

I just meant with the run up to Christmas, are things better?

Having recently booked a holiday in the sun for early next year I am now in the 't'will be nice for my holiday' mode, (as if I need an excuse to buy!:o) Anyhoo, today in Oxfam I found a pair of heavy cotton, with stretch, ankle grazer trousers from TU. Brand new still had the spare button in a plastic bag and in a geometric pattern of black white and burnt orange...priced at £4.99.

I think it must be me. :o

I don't understand what you mean by 'better'.
    Cheaper?
    More stock?
    Better stock?

I think in the run up to Christmas there's more sparkly and black items for the party season.
That's the only difference I've noticed.

I see no point in buying it at all - the environment comes first. Thankfully chazzers do sell a lot of good stuff at good prices too.

I meant baubles and general decorations, that can be re-used year after year. It's not like Christmas colours/themes change with fashion (although I was amused to see Paperchase recently selling some expensive "retro style" baubles, ie like the 70s ones that have been on my parents' tree every year for over four decades).

I'm not sure if this is a good buy or not ( but I'm sure you'll tell me one way or another :D).
I've just bought a CROSS ballpoint pen in original box with some paperwork.

It's really slim (I hate thick pens) and is mainly matt silver with 3 rows of shiny 'milled' segments where your fingers go.

It's clearly made for a company (TDX Group) but it's really nice.

I paid £5.00 from the hospice shop.

    My quick trawl today:
a roll of old style rufflette tape- actually the lining variety-50 pence- which I am going to use as ties on dog coats for a Romanian dog rescue when I get time!! (Busy churning out doggy duvets at the moment- need to clear spaces! sell these for assisstance charity Dogs for Good)

2 x square picture frames with non-reflective glass. 50 pence each. I seem to get a lot of square pictures and frames are hard to come by so these 2- a bargain

Found a lovely top for a friend @£1 in a jade green, then remembered I've never seen her in green. Her superstitious mother wouldn't allow the colour in the house! Put it back on the rail....
