Hi I’m in the same boat I stopped paying DD almost 2 yrs ago 3J finance terminated my contract and said exemplar would be in touch now after over a year I have received a email from asset collection and investigation ltd regarding loan agreement to recover the remaining amount Has anyone else had a letter from these people pls advise.

Has anyone had any success with stopping their contract with Exemplar?  We are in the same boat as many of you paying a huge amount monthly for something we thought would benefit our children but instead it lead to a stressful family life, our children hating doing it as the laptop that came with it was rubbish and kept freezing also the work they had done would sometimes not save and they would have to go back to the beginning.  😡😡

Do not pay cancel you’re direct debit, ignore them , I’ve heard nothing from them . Do not hand over any more of your hard earn money in these uncertain times ❤️ There’s lots of us ...you are not alone ....❤️

Hi.I have successfully stopped them from harassing me and closing the account by talking to a solicitor getting the solicitor to write a letter to them to say that when they took up the contract they lied to us by saying we could cancel any time in the future if we give them 12 months notice Are used to pay £115 a month I have three missed payment on my credit file but the account is settled and closed.

Hi. I have threatened them to take them to court got a solicitor to write an email with a warning and they cancelled.

Hi Everyone, my wife was conned into signing up with Exemplar back in 2017, in June 2018 she realised what she had done and emailed them telling them she wanted the contract stopped and was cancelling the DD. She then was so embarrassed and upset that she hid it from me. In November 2020 she finally broke down and explained the whole situation and that a Debt Recovery team were wanting us to pay £3,400 for the 5 year contract that she had signed up to, even though at the time she explained to the Conman Salesperson that she only wanted 12 months for our daughter, he said yes that's not a problem obviously this was a lie.
I contacted the Legal Department of the Debt Recovery firm and explained what had occurred. They said because she signed up then she was liable for the full amount. However they were actually really helpful and explained that I should email Exemplar to arrange a phone call as they were not returning my phone messages and that I need to CC them into the emails so that there's a record. They also suggested I submit a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman which I've just done.

They explained because of the length of time now, we now have a CCJ against our name and that we have incurred charges, I'm fuming about this. Thankfully the Legal Firm have put a stay on our account for the next 60 days so as to give us time to get to the bottom of this, they did say should this take more time then as long as I keep them informed they can extend this Stay.

So I am waiting again today for Exemplar to ring me back. We really need some advice on how to deal with this situation as its now making my wife physically ill. I've noticed that someone has put a post up saying that they have a FB Page and if we need help we should join it, however i cant seem to find it.
