Happy way to start the day playing with the cat 😻
It was!  I wouldn't have chosen it, since I'm such a slowcoach in the morning, but today it was great :)

Good news about the Jazz as well, I think that could really be a go-er.

Right, wm is about to finish its extra spin, and I've been out at the front pulling up more ivy roots - very intertwined, there wasn't any point in the past because the base was in the neighbour's soil, but now there is, it could be really nice.  And I emailed Norfolk rellie, just as she was emailing me :)

A long lunch coming up :)

    All done 🌞😊
    - ordered the much less expensive face mask that LWAP has been mentioning - I also need to get with the plan in relation to the Liz Earle cleanse and polish stuff.
    - on brother's advice, downloaded Autotrader app, the choice of cars compared to the website is huge - Honda Jazz is currently the favourite on there. Yum yum.
    - I was up at 6.45 this morning and playing with my lovely feline resident, he was very active for some reason.
    - dishwasher has done, washing machine on too.
    - email Norfolk rellies, not done so for ages.
    - cook the peas and mung beans I soaked overnight.
    - another batch of working on the front border with the awful party wall neighbour.

    Still to do 🤗🤐
    - back up laptop, in the evening if necessary.
    - open up Prolific, haven't done so since I joined.

Secondary to-do list, ie you *know* I'm not going to do these 😂
    - cook chocolate brownies
    - make polenta ready for chips in the next few days.
    - clean shopping, delivered yesterday, frozen, chilled and fresh (!) already cleaned and put away.
    - oh yeah, find driving licence.  Still not found, still not looked.

I'm pleased at this!  Gave myself a stern talking to, so I put the peas and beans on.  And for the shopping - I'd ordered some baking potatoes, so I cleaned the bag and put them in the fridge.  No point giving myself ergot poisoning, after all.  I might actually get round to opening up Prolific in a mo.

ETA - yep, Prolific opened, profile filled in a bit, and a survey completed, £5.50 pending, no idea if what I answered is good enough, we'll see.

  • I had a Honda for years, never any issues with it, so reliable  - sadly it was totalled in an accident ..

hows the toothbrush? I see the charging mentioned as a to do a lot here ;))

Let me know how the led goes - my friends loves the one you ordered so just be consistent - easy to lie in bed and use it ;) I sometimes clean up the clutter at the end of the day in it.. then put my creams on..
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

    Thank you all 🥰

    - I *found* the toothbrush, while looking for my driving licence, so it's *ready* to charge - my next dental appointment is this Thursday, so I better get round to it.
    - I found my driving licence **happy dance** you have to empty things out, you really do 😁
    - Prolific answers were approved, hurray, now earned £6.50.
    - mask hasn't arrived yet, but I've had confirmation its on its way.
    - awful neighbour is including a bit of retaining wall at the front, which is great, as I'd have had to do it otherwise.  There's a 6" hazel tree, I might let it live as a fan-type tree.  I've dug up a lot more ivy roots.
    - brownies cooked, and jolly nice too.
    - laptop backed up.
    - sister has just arrived back in the UK, I've started preparing for the moggy to go back to his real life - mostly cleaning *his* dishes, I'm uncertain about putting them through the dishwasher, whereas I know mine can, once they've had the bits cleaned off them.

    So, today:
    - bit of sweeping and cleaning.  I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have a cat again **blushes**
    - finish cleaning up the shopping, I'm afraid its just been sitting there.
    - email to London friend, who's supposed to be in my county later this week.  Our meetup was derailed by all the issues surrounding the funeral, but since we're not to attend that, we can meet.
    - go for a walk, get those leg muscles going.
    - if any focussed energy is spare, do the curtain hemming.

Good to know!  This dish isn't marked dishwasher-safe, though, and I'm not taking chances with someone else's gear 😋  and the mat, it won't stand up and I'm not giving it flat space 🤣  It will take a minute, I'll cope.  Cleaning the big living room rug, otoh, was horrendous 😅 at least I've got a proper amount of dirt in the vacuum cleaner to empty 🤣

Good news on the driving license.
Thanks!  I'm so pleased, I can't tell you, but I'm absolutely shattered now - I don't think I've had enough sleep, tbh.  Will soon start cleaning at least some of the shopping, and then a walk.  I already managed to email friend, I don't think we're going to meet up, and texted my Jewish ex-business partner, whose family is safe but a friend of the family has been kidnapped.

At least my sister got home without any more delays/floods/crime.  Also without any sleep on the plane, so she's dozing 😊

Oh, my electric toothbrush - I bought the wrong plug type, its European.  I have an adaptor somewhere, but heaven knows where.  I've got time to look, though.

Lovely Moggy has gone to his real home today, courtesy of my sister.  He disapproved of being refused entry to my bedroom, and hoofed it under the living room sofa to show it.  Lucky he knows my sister's voice, and he soon came out.  I grabbed hold and didn't let go - he's very forgiving 😺 and now safely at home.

I, otoh, am completely poleaxed, I've just been sitting her for about 4 hours 🙄 tried hard to do something useful, so I made foraging notes on English ivy, and swept the living room floor.  Better that than nothing at all - I'm also going to use it for the hapa zome thing, getting Christmas type leaves onto my re-useable fabric wrapping paper.  Not today tho!  Today, I honestly don't know, I'll do whatever feels bearable, maybe look at the Autotrader app, maybe a Prolific survey if one comes up.
