I sort of know how you feel. I struggle with more than 2 appts of any kind in a week & am dreading next friday when I have a phone appt, my flu jab & my sons covid jab. It is stressing me already without the hospital on Wed. When the people in your life say what's the problem it just makes it worse.

Much appreciated, thank you all! "What's the problem" is awful to hear, badmemory, but people sharing similar experiences is lovely, I'm the only one in the family to experience this.
I feel a lot better this morning - still going to take it easy, but I have some Liverpool folk songs playing from youtube in the background, and I started with some science fiction filk and Joan Baez from the same source, all good. It's sunny, I'll have a walk, I'll cook all of my baked potatoes at once, the ones I bought last week, just do little bits and treat myself kindly.2023: the year I get to buy a car1 -
Glad you’re feeling better! A day of nice gentle self-care pottering sounds lovely 😊Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Good morning
a nice easy day was had yesterday, I tried not to read too much news, and that helped. Also worked on what to do during the funeral on Thursday - sister and I will go to a church (even though neither of us are Christian, it seems best!) to light a candle, but the one we chose has a Thanksgiving service for the life of a local resident (2.5 hours long! Not going there!) so I'm checking if other places are open.
ETA: I've made a mistake, that's the Wednesday, we're going on Thursday. Excuse my dufusness 🙄 ug, now I've got to correct the info I've given to my sister. Sometimes details are beyond me - at least its not dementia, I used to do this in my 20s 🙃🙄 I also left a downstairs window open last night. Doofus.
Right, so I've been pottering doing domestic rubbish, more to do but later on. Also done a little Prolific survey, there was a bigger, better paid one, but as a retiree, it wasn't appropriate. I also found my old kindle - decluttering it by de-registering, "forgetting" my broadband, deleting personal documents - there's loads, I used to put ticket pdfs on there with my name and address for the cruise holidays, as well as travel insurance.
Now, time to close the windows and check if the heating works or it leaks anywhere - doing it now rather than the evening so I have a chance to call someone to fix it, even if they don't come today. It was definitely too chilly yesterday evening.
Otherwise, I'll be looking at the Autotrader app. Woo!2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
Can you not just do a hard reset of your old kindle, if you're trying to clear everything?
Good news about the church not being busy. And yes, it's the sort of thing we all do, isn't it?!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Strong doubts on the hard reset, madvix
it's dying, and the work is actually done now anyway. I'll learn about hard resets for next time!

Karmacat said:The last quarter of the year! UPDATE, for before Christmas.
1. Operation Clear Cat Hair, he was collected on Wednesday 11th. Done some cleaning, not all.
2. Inquest and funeral: meeting up with my sister on Thursday, timed to get to "my" local parish church for 2.30. They don't want candles lit - maybe we'll have a cuppa tea at mine with a candle in the background. Inquest, we'll see, and take brother's advice.
3. My priority for me is continuing to learn to drive - weekly lessons going well, I went onto local roads outside the town last week, hope to do the same this week, though the predicted weather is *dreadful*. Following on from which:
4. Deciding which car to drive. Will have to beg a lift from someone to test drive, public transport to get to garages seems very tricky.
5. Accessories to driving: will buy my missing items from Highway Code list when necessary: de-icer, ice scraper, first aid kit, jump leads, shovel. Possibly road salt too. If car I choose has no satnav, sister accidentally bought one before she went to the US last month 😊
6. Craft work. Finish remaining curtain, work on recycleable fabric gift tags.
7. Growing things. Get the garden ready. Set up something inside the house for sprouting-to-eat, probably in the office. Derailed by the party-wall neighbour working on our joint border at the front, I had a chance to get rid of some of the ivy roots that had grown onto my side - I've done a bit, not enough, but it didn't help the chronic fatigue. Will try to do more this weekend, finally. I'll time it, so I don't do too much.
8. Genealogy biographies. Carry on having a play, which I *have* been 😊
9. Self care. A wide one, this! Ordered the extra plug the electric toothbrush needs, visit hygienist, both done. Other things I listed on this not even touched: looking after my complexion, toning exercises, disposing safely of the client files, bit more social life, bit of local driving, not much because I've felt quite ill in the last week.
10. FINANCES! That NSandI savings bond opened, only £3,500 put in there, but better than nothing. Did a Prolific survey yesterday, Happy Wheel is partly productive (50p today)

Update
1. Cat hair cleaning - 95% done 😺 just an upstairs mat to do.
2. Funeral - met up with my sister and went to my local parish church as planned, we came back here for a cuppa and to light a candle. We both realised we hadn't told brother about what we were going to do, so WhatsApped him, and he was really touched.
3. Driving lesson was good in that I drove on more roads just outside my town, including one I'd marked as "avoid this - stone walls 6" from the cars - but it was fine. Too stressed to have the whole lesson, though, so I cut it short.
4. Checked out Autotrader app, I'll be making a spreadsheet today
9. Self care: plug for leccy toothbrush has arrived. Ordered seeds from RealSeeds - **determined** to plant properly next year.
10. Finances. 100points on YG for 2 surveys today.
Today:
- clean that last remaining mat 😺
- Autotrader app spreadsheet
- 3 birthday cards, two of which need to be posted.
- possible Prolific, but I'd prefer to stop my brain whirring.
- washing machine on. Again 😁
- check if my tv still works, finally (by changing remote batteries - is it just the remote gone funny) but I don't think it does. Check local stores for basic HD tv and freeview recorder. Plus a dvd player - everything's broken over the last few months, and I'm basically on iplayer, I have login problems on itv and 4.2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
You've been busy! And I don't blame you being stressed about the road with the stone walls - they still make me stressed, even after many years of driving!
I need to do a seed order... especially as RS only have limited numbers of some things. Maybe that's a job for the weekend. Wish they had a paper catalogue to scribble on!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
