My Easter plans had a slight collapse, through family non-covid illness, so I had a long walk this morning - I meant to just walk to the local village, but I just kept on going
I happened to walk along a stream, and then found a bridge I recognised from another time, which was fun
shattered now, not doing any "jobs" now at all, only fun and needs must (dishwasher's calling me).
One thing is genealogy - looking through my mum's papers, I found a Sunday School prize for my paternal great grandmother, 11 years old at the time, the poor child was given a commentary on the Apocrypha **shrieky smiley**. Good to add colour to the bio, however.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -

Books excluded from the Bible ... too female, too different from convention, possibly too late Biblical apocrypha - Wikipedia It's an adult version of the discussion, not a child's, which means that its full of tiny late 19th century font. Even so, it's very poignant - they had so little, but she had this. Her childhood and teens were very turbulent, but this book stayed with her son, even though she didn't raise him. My mother was going to throw it out 👀

I've done some mse type stuff here and there.
1. I fitted the chimney sheep! Finally! This was because a bee started trying to fly down my chimney, it was *really* loud!
2. I did an oven multi-use thing today: mostly sequential rather than simultaneous, but it stopped multiple warming up times - a "Yorkshire", roasted frozen parsnips, and a frugal brownie (with added coconut).
3. final pinning of the net curtain, I'll be glad when it's finished and up!
4. Washing was out long enough to dry, though I've left it on the maiden overnight to make sure. Happy with it in reality.
5. Need to send a card tomorrow, and do some weeding, ready for the green bin. I've been out for long walks yesterday and today, and my feet will appreciate the rest.2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
Net curtain is now ready to be dunked and splashed, then hung out to dry! I *may* need to use additional, different material on the ends, to bulk out the folds on the visible bit, we'll see. Very happy with what I've done!
Written out the card, now to find a separate envelope to put the whole thing in (more family politics).
This afternoon: coffee, dishwasher on, and green bin work. Feeling very virtuous2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
