I'm getting slightly concerned about this new way of checking if it is you that is actually typing. I mean it would have been fine 10 years ago, it would have been fine 2 days ago, but yesterday? But how do you tell an algorhythm well yesterday was fine but today my arthritis is bad & I have a couple of fingers at least that I'm not sure are going to co-operate.

Thanks debtfree - it was a big relief.debtfreeoneday said:Glad all ok with the bank access. Re budget looks good. X
That's a very good point, actually. I had to do some stuff like that on my phone because my ordinary broadband was out after the storms we had, and it felt very dodgy, because you have to be so accurate on such a small screen.badmemory said:I'm getting slightly concerned about this new way of checking if it is you that is actually typing. I'm so glad I am not the only one concerned, after all how many of us are NOT under 60 & they keep telling us we have all the savings (yes I know) it seems a good excuse to keep them from us. Paranoid or what??

Also very tired today.

Honestly, I think the people who make these rules have no idea about what it's like for older people. And to a point, I understand that. When my dad needed carers at home (years ago, just after the Millenium) we suddenly found this whole sub-culture of carers and disabled people at home, right under our noses, that we knew absolutely nothing about. Newspaper articles aren't the same thing at all.badmemory said:I'm so glad I am not the only one concerned, after all how many of us are NOT under 60 & they keep telling us we have all the savings (yes I know) it seems a good excuse to keep them from us. Sorry you're tired too, beanie. I've caught up a bit - I made myself get out into the garden, and dug up a bucket of weed - couch grass, ordinary grass, self seeding lady's mantle, sedge, one whose name I don't know - if I'm going to plant these seeds, they have to have somewhere to grow! That went well, in the evening I've just focussed on eating healthily and tidying up - don't want to go into the long weekend with the place like a tip, though I may have to vac for 10 minutesbeanielou said:Also very tired today.

Morning! And here we are at the long weekend. At some stage, I'm going over to my sister's, we're finally going to start on more of the family photos to be split between the three of us. Brother doesn't really want any, but he has 3 sons and 6 grandchildren after all, so he's getting some, whether he wants them or not
I've measured my window that the cheesecloth net is going on: the window is longer than the hemmed net by 2". Hmmm. I have some plain, very thin cotton that I could put on the end, that will never be seen from inside the house because of the way the curtains draw back. That would give a bit of freedom/looseness that I think will be needed. But right now, I'm really tempted to finish off the final bit of sewing and get them up. Then I could cut it all to length, and move on to finally planting some seeds - I need the curtains finished before I take on something else.
Still, lovely weather here! I might well brush down the patio chairs and, y'know, have a sit outside! Spring is sprung.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -

Thanks honey! I thought I remembered you loving Lady's Mantle 🌱 Not sure I've got any of the self sown stuff left, but if I find some, are you serious? If so, and if I do find it, I'll pot it up and ask for your address or your email via pm.Alchemilla said:Enjoy the fresh air!
