Right, I'm off tomorrow - see you all next weekend
I can't believe how many bitty jobs I needed to do, but I think I'm there. Taking lots of easy cook food along, and I actually managed to cook that coconut cake again - slightly too dry this time, ahem, but things are cleaner, readier, more aligned, I'm happy. And next weekend, I'll start the Happy Wheel

Good evening lovelies! I'm back, a splendiferous time was had, Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence and tiny Saxon churches and a cat that wanted to come in to our cottage (no chickens this time, sadly, though they did have 20-30 in a huge netted field). There were goats too
There were also a Roman House at Dorchester, strip agriculture from medieval times, dinosaur footprints and the one and only Durdle Door.
Finances for the holiday as a whole are good: a big 2 bed, 2.5 bath barn conversion was £50 a night each, plus unknown petrol as yet, plus two NT entry prices at £8 each. We both brought our own food (as a vegetarian allergic to cows cheese and gluten, I'm an absolute pain to eat with, so we do our own). We were provided with a bottle of red wine by the owners, and neither of us wanted it over the holiday, so I brought it home with me. Where's the smug smiley face when you need it. Oh, here you go: 😛😎
Some washing and some unpacking is done, I want to have a bit of a bank holiday as well, so we'll see how it goes! Hope everyone's well - I'll be looking at diaries today and tomorrowHappy Wheel is beckoning me tomorrow.

Thanks both! Yep, I'm good
I haven't really had enough sleep for a week or so, but the physical activity of going out on beach walks - RL bouldering, as apple might say
plus clambering up and down cliffs and turrets and what have you - has made me tired enough to catch up a bit
Today is more of what I started to do late afternoon yesterday: cleaning, tidying. Need to do a lot of that in the porch - twice now, I've found a wandering ant. I need to clean up and fill any holes before I put ant powder down outside - last time I put ant powder down by the door without checking, they found a way in and ran inside to escape from the ant spray (whereupon I blitzed them, just as they were about to escape to my top floor 😨😨😨. Can't have that again!
And I must, must plant some seeds over the bank holiday, or I won't be in time to do anything. So this is another domesticky weekend after all, though I reckon I'll do a walk tomorrow.
