Thanks both, it was full on, it was great! Still catching up: downloading photos so they're accessible. Then it's a walk, lunch, weeding. Green bin on Tues or Wed, so it's important 🤣2023: the year I get to buy a car4

Hello lovelies! The break was great, absolutely. Just worked out the figures - for transport, admission fees to National Trust places, and 4 nights in a very high-end AirBNB in a barn conversion on a working farm, £306. No extra food expenses, because we were in the car I had available what I normally eat, including my treats
And yes, Bank Holibob today! Very grey sky, unfortunately. I'm a bit sore from all the gardening yesterday, so I'll do something nice and easy to get some more green waste in the green bin. Later on, I'll finally get the Happy Wheel going and (HUGE TA-DA!!!) I will be putting up the cheesecloth curtains in my bedroom! The little additions at the sides are done, the hook to support the middle of the quite-long-length rail is already up. Wooo!
Before that, out for a walk - stretching my legs, staying upright, deep breaths. Lovely.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
Yesterday: practically a day of rest
I put extra hooks on, to support the new curtain - cunningly left holes in hems when I sewed the strips together, for that very purpose, and I could use the rawlplugs already in the window, they used to support the venetian blinds, so along with the screw-tension mechanism, putting them up took about ten minutes. Huge victory!
Went a walk, past "my" duckpond. The terrapin is backand there are large ducklings scooting about under an overhanging bank.
Green bin was put out for the binmen today: extra dandelion seeds added
Today: financial admin has ruled
Downloaded all statements from my bank (3 accounts! Bother!)
Donated the Rewards money to the Ukrainian appeal (£12)
Actually applied for their credit card, to replace the Sains card I killed. This one is Mastercard, and gets 1% bonus on supermarkets, and it doesn't involve an extra financial company, which is important to me.
Paid my sister what I owe her for the Dorset holiday.
I've also been adjusting my review/plan situation - updated the one on my phone from last year, but I need to add in the "fun stuff" post I did on here a month ago or so. Very pleased with this, and now it's time for something different. Still plenty of downloading documents to go, but that's fine, I'll do that later.2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
Hooray to the curtains!
There's a terrapin? I didn't think they lived 'in the wild' here (too cold)?

whenever I've seen the terrapin, it's sitting on the duck house boards in the middle of the pond. The pond is private, though it's right by the very quiet road and has seats you can sit on. I suspect the owners whisk the terrapin away to their conservatory over the winter
🐞 no terrapins found online, so have a ladybird

That makes sense - I guessed it wasn't a wild pond, but to overwinter the terrapin in the conservatory (or presumably they hibernate??) makes sense - what a lovely life for him/her!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
