Blimey KC, just read 64 posts to catch back up! You really have been busy! - When we have burnt on bits in an oven pan (remember that?) we put water in it and bring it to the boil on the hob and use a wooden spoon to persuade the stuck on bits to unstick. The addition of washing up liquid or biological washing powder is used if a second attempt is needed. Also kitchen paper is great for wiping out before and after.

This morning, picked more rhubarb for the dehydrator, chopped up more to be added to the stewed stuff (I'm going to try to use the same liquid, to keep it all nice and chunky).
I even had my 2nd go on the Happy Wheel - won 8p, woo! I'll wait until it's paid me back my £5, which is the minimum you have to deposit to activate the account, and when it's done that, I'll have a go at experimenting - there are further freebies advertised, but it sounds very confusing, I think deliberately. As madvix said, it's really quick.
I'll be shutting down in a bit to sort out clothes for the funeral, we'll be travelling for hours, we need to be comfy as well as presentable!2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -

Ooh, is that ... deglazing? My hob and even my oven equipment is all very sturdy stainless steel, so I could absolutely do that. I do use a combo of washing up liquid and steel wool. No bio washing powder in the house, though I believe a dishwasher tab has been touted as equivalent. Wiping out, I just use a sponge and scrape it into the kitchen bin
Terrapin in a pond! how big? they will go for ducklings... here's a nearly emoji 🐢and that's why he disappeared from the pond, while they were tiny! Terrapin itself isn't huge, it's only about the length of my hand-and-fingers.
On the busy-ness: I do feel quite focussed on getting things done in the house and garden at the moment, I've no idea why, but I know better than to fight my instincts, that's when I end up giving up and bingeing on science fiction series2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -

Thanks RT! I've sorted the outfit ... I overdid it I'm afraid. Tried on various combos of dress/skirt/jacket/shoes/boots, checked by taking selfie video, then got a shower and washed my hair. This stuff has been sitting in my wardrobe (drapes only, no doors) since well before the first lockdown, it was *so* dusty. I've been sitting motionless for about 3 hours, feel ok to reach for the computer at least. One of the dresses is going to the charity shop - at a wedding 6 years ago, I could just about wear it. Today ... no. A definite aura of mutton dressed as lamb. And it won't do up
and it was tight at the best of times

Stuff shrinks, when you keep it in the wardrobe! Even more if you store it in a loft, we find.
I guess that is deglazing, but I think of it as adding red wine to remove stuck on bits in a casserole (burnt on crispy bits are the other major food group, after sweet, hot, sour, salty and umami, according to DH)Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

it's not osteoporosis or anything, it's just me leaning over too far, but along with my totally grey hair, it adds 15 years to my age
I feel like hiding in a cupboard with a bag over my head and never coming out again.

Off to post a birthday card to Norfolk rellie, who's now the oldest of all of us. And I've broken my self imposed rule, of always posting cards in time to use a 2nd class stamp. This should have been posted on Saturday. Lesson learned (again).2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
