Hello everyone! How lovely, thank you all very much, that's really appreciated
I managed to go out into the countryside with my sister, she found a slightly shorter walk around the NT place we usually go to. Turns out I could have done the longer one, as I decided to add on a little extra bit - but the choice is what matters, I could have kept it pretty short - I'm so glad that I didn't need to!
The sheep were spread all over the place, and quite funny about us being there - we were the only humansJust relaxing this afternoon, phone, email, text and fb have been responded to, so now I'm on here, which is my Main Place, I'm finished for the day. Love mse so much! Thanks again

My new diary is here3 -
Not a problem, SL, not at all
All good here.
- I have a phone message to listen to, and possibly respond to.
- couple of tubs of sawdust from Lovely Neighbour to incorporate into the garden, or even just store till later.
- tidy the office - I didn't really do anything at all when I've listed this.
- I'm wondering about making "johnnycakes" - they were on Masterchef Professionals, and I've found a bog standard version on tablespoon.com - I have lots of cornmeal to use up, even if it is a bit old
- especially with GoldieGirl coming back on here for her annual review, I'm thinking about what I've managed in 2021, and how to get more out of 2022. We'll see.

Ooh, I do love an annual review as you know. Looking forward to seeing what you've achieved all written in a row!
Happy belated birthday, I'm glad you managed to get out and about, what fun. I confess I've never heard of johnnycakes, must investigate!0 -
That's where I stalled, the curiosity
still nothing done!
Today - not bad at all (i.e. blimmin' good!).
- Didn't wake up till 8.15, which means quite a bit of my sleep deficit was paid off.
- Dishwasher and washing machine put through their paces - and good heavens, *nothing* got drier on the line, it was too cold.
- sent a birthday card - postbox was empty enough that I didn't have to jam it in.
- stopped myself obsessing about the harm being done to the country, by sending one final email to my MP, showing her how unreal her previous email to me had been, and politely telling her what I thought, then blocking her, as I'd told her I would. Huge feeling of relief, though it took a long time. Necessary.
- supermarket delivery. My gate had got trapped shut, and on a day like today that might make a supermarket worker a mite touchy. Not a bit of it! She was lovely, and in fact she unpacked the boxes for me, onto my outside step as per my request (so she'd read it! more kudos for supermarket worker heroine!). Incredibly speedy.
- freezer stuff has been cleaned and put away. Erm, nothing else has.
- I've drafted my plan for next year, though I'm panicking slightly when I realised what I need to do before actual, y'know, Christmas.
So here's the plan for 20th December - 2nd January.
1. wrap presents - two big ones, it will be okay, it just needs doing.
2. pack for 24 hour stay at my sister's over Christmas, as long as it's legal etc.
3. make my Christmas main - wanted to take responsibility for it so my sister wouldn't have to faff around for me, though she does cook great vegetarian meals, that's not really the point
3. clean the shopping and put it away - ahem, no mean feat.
4. pack for my rabbit sitting stay, as long as they're still going away - all bets are off as to what's happening at the beginning of January!
5. I'm kind of in lockdown except for my sister, so apart from Christmas tv and cooking new recipes like johnnycakes, I'm doing my English tax and digging up weeds
6. Three extra phone calls before Christmas, all planned2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
Ooh, lots of lovely things on that list! Bravo indeed for your supermarket delivery worker, and bless you for making your own main for Christmas dinner, I'm sure your sister appreciates it!3

Hello folks - debtfree, I really hope that Christmas meal happens - we're being told that there's no new restrictions before Christmas, but of course we can't trust anything we're told from that source, so ... safety at the end of the pet sitting is also an issue (safety for me at my sister's house after she gets off a cruise ship and a plane and a taxi) - we'll be as careful as we can at all stages, and then what will be, will be.
Great phone call yesterday, and I actually, finally, positively got all the paperwork in the office off the floorsort of
the Sainsbo stuff is still there so I can use it to draft the follow up letter, even if I don't send it till after Christmas. They still haven't informed me officially that the responsibility for the fraud was theirs.
Anyway, all good here. Another celebratory phone call today, then carrying on with the office, writing Christmas email, and cleaning shopping. Too cold to do anything outside, temperature's still below zero out there **blue shrieky smiley**2023: the year I get to buy a car1 -
Brrrr it is indeed a chilly one - all the roofs we can see out the bedroom window are still covered in frost!
This morning I was 'gifted' an e-mail filled with pictures of scenes from home! - 14 cm of snow which set off the Christmas light displays very nicelyNice to see so many displays of seasonal spirit even in such unusual times.
Well done kc on tidying up the paperwork, must be something in the air as that is my plan for this afternoon after the booster......filing and putting away an ever growing pile of papers & unpacking the shredder to dispose of what is not needed.
I really like your view on being as careful as you can be - that is in truth the best way to approach of this - then as you say what will be, will be!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
