I've just been seeing headlines about the results of the first large-scale analysis of Omicron - haven't read it through properly, its a bit late now, but greenbee, thanks for this. I have a lot of my list left to do, as ever: make the main (I've found the recipe, Jack Monroe's), pack (easy enough for the 24 hours), and wrap - only two presents, I can hack that. But I'll need to sit down between the three tasks, so checking out your links can be done then, thank you - much appreciated.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Everything has gone a lot slower
I did manage my last phone call, checking on bro, and he's fine, his eldest son has now bought a Tesla, a slightly more modern one of course, and he's enjoying the regenerative braking like nobody's business
you really wouldn't think we were siblings
Part-packed - I won't need much, but there are bits and bobs. All good.
YG survey done, a slightly mad one that took 2 minutes.
Finally got myself together to cook the veggie Xmas Day main. Dear me! Very glad my sister isn't doing it: fried onion and garlic, ground almonds, cashews, chestnuts, frozen cranberries, bit of stuffing mix. Too many cranberries! I'll survive, though. I didn't read it through particularly well, and used about 3 bowls too manynever mind, that's what a dishwasher's for! Cranberries will also go into the porridge tomorrow.

Gosh, that sounds like a very elaborate and decadent main course - just what Christmas dinner should involve! How lovely!5

That does sound like an elaborate but delicious main course! Hope it tastes as good as it sounds.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2005

Awww, thank you both, lovelies! It did turn out to be extremely decadent! Definitely too many cranberries, though (I just upturned the packet of frozen ones, and um, completely ignored how much they weighed
). So tomorrow, while the breakfast porridge is a-cooking, I'll soak it in a bit of honey and hot water. Gravy on the day will be just the thing.
Off for a final canter around the threads, then to bed 🌙 night night.

Just reading about your sister's cruise -hope they have a lovely time
Our next cruise is due for May. We originally booked this in October 2019, and it's already been moved once. We have to pay in full in January. At present, with the way things are, I doubt if I will be inclined to pay up, but will see what happens in the next month.
Hope you have a lovely ChristmasEarly retired - 18th December 2014
