Just so you know I’m a regalar at this time of the morning. Sleep is for the week - that’s my body talking. My head is knackered.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

I wish I had a spacecraft simulator Cheery,
that would be wonderful!
debtfree - I feel for you, I really do, that's awful. Perfectly understand that your head is knackered.
I'm trying to keep up with the world, though my cleaning antics aren't really working. Some things are. We'll see. Driving up to London with sister on Saturday to meet the baby! Very, very very excited about that.
My complaint with Sains is with the Customer Relations team, oh and how sad they are they can't provide a timeframe. I don't want to do it now, but I'll find out what their address is, and write them an actual letter.
YG are sending me a survey every day, thank you - 20% of the way to the next wodge of cash, thats all good fun.
Biggest achievement of the day - almost half of (very small number of) Christmas cards done. Quite a few of the ones still to do need little notes, as they're elderly or once a year bods: no printer right now, so it's all hand written, and my handwriting is **terrible** now. Still, Christmas cards can be a force for good.2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
It's awful isn't it when your handwriting deteriorates that much. I am still trying to persuade myself that mine has gone so bad because of the arthritis in my fingers, but I have a nasty suspicion that a fair amount of it in my case is of the use it or lose it type. I never write anything these days, it is all on computer. Even my shopping list is computerised. My DS did me a spreadsheet that has just about anything I have ever bought & all I have to do is go down it, put numbers in the right places & press go & it produces my shopping list which I can then print. But come Christmas there are some people I need to write to & a typed letter really will not do, not yet anyway. These are not family as there are only 3 of us left. People I have known a long time & have always been kind & supportive, I no longer get to see them as they live a very long way away. One I haven't seen since my late 20s, so nearly 50 years.

That's exactly it, badmemory, everything's on the computer! In the past at Christmas, I've written a generic letter, then adopted it to each person (my science fiction buddies and elderly aunts don't have much crossover, I find
) printed out the body, and topped and tailed it with handwriting. But my printer and my laptop don't talk to each other, and I'm getting a new printer for Christmas, so I have to do it the old way for now. Worse things happen at sea!
Five more cards finished - halfway now! Today it's a few emails, more cards, find sainsbo, do a money shuffle between my bank and principality for regular savings and rewards, green bin recycling, and phone bro. Phone call might come first, actually.2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
I agree with the use it or lose it for sure. You just don’t write as much these days though!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Absolutely, that's it!
Bit of a tricky time last night - had a power cut here, just my side of the road, everything else was twinkling merrilyso I went to bed, and read stuff on the computer that I'd already downloaded
the kindle app isn't so good for this, it needs a live connection to work. Everything was fine this morning, so all good.
And this morning was the day of seeing the new little one up in London! Very adorable, with orange zebras, and *very* strong back muscles, used for getting herself comfy and laying exactly how she wants to lay. A powerhouseAnd she's less than a month old!
Still got back here in time to watch Strictly - nothing financial done at all, oops, will catch up tomorrow.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -

Also glad you didn't lose power for long! Most vexing to see the light still on on the other side of the street I imagine.
How lovely to see the new baby 😊😊😊
What's on the cards for today?3 -
Awww - so nice to hear you had a day out in the city! Getting out of the house is so important these days
New baby cuddles sounds so lovely
I'm back doing WFH until at least January & the first thing I did was schedule in both a walk & a yoga session every day - this was key last time to keeping balanced, so will make the effort again this time round.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Thanks all! I've been offline a bit, just staying low key, so I have a few emails I need to answer pronto ... there was lots on the agenda but nothing got done yesterday, nothing at all.
Today, therefore, I had to *race* through most of the Christmas cards, and even though it's comparatively early for me, some had to go out first class - the troublesome auntie from a few years ago has been in hospital for 2 weeks, unlikely to come out till after Christmas, but nobody told us. Hey ho. Housing Manager of the sheltered housing gave us the news when my sister phoned.
I bought plenty of Christmas cards, plenty of birthday cards, and plenty of Deepest Sympathy cards. Did I buy any Get Well cards? I did not! Off to do that now, I don't want to do anything too finance-oriented, after rushing about today I'd probably get something wrong.
Fun was still had: found a photo of me and the new dad (then aged 2) so I sent it to his wifethat was good. And I went to stand in the garden, and Half Grown Kitten came over to say hello, that was good too.
