Decided to buy a Samsung f/f - a lot of comments online about how quiet they are, and since the door between my kitchen and my living is never closed (and I sit at the kitchen table sometimes) thats a good thing. I bought the current f/f in 2010, and didn't really shop around - I did the shopping around thing this morning, and its meant that prices haven't really gone up, I'm buying from a regional chain that has free delivery too. Disposal costs are £20, and I trust them more than I trust some other firms! Just got to check the measurements before I do the deed. Then I think a bit of normal-weeding might be in order - soil will be nice and soft after all this rain! Tonight, it'll be taking notes for decisions on the cruise holiday.
ETA: ordered it! It's a little bit bigger than my current one - 3cm wider, 10cm deeper, but I'll just be pushing the table a little bit further away. Nearly didn't happen - Mastercard thought I was fraudulent "because you don't often spend £450 in one go". Fair enough, and they *did* put me straight through to a human - but this is the card on which I spent £12k at Wickes earlier this year :rotfl: never mind, it's a fairly appropriate stopand the staff member sorted it pretty quickly.

Thanks beanie! I'm going to look after this one a bit better than the first
I didn't understand about flow of air, nor about keeping the evaporative chamber path clear. Must do better
I've been out for an hour in the garden - cleared some of the front borders, so many levels of weeds in each spot:o:o well, a couple of feet in length is now clear enough of weed roots to have lots of nice mulch down

My new f/f is a samsung, and I like it. I pretty much picked it as it was the only one I could find with two drawers in the fridge, and as I eat vast amounts of veg really need this space. It's amazing how much longer stuff lasts than it did in the old fridge.0

greenbee, thats really good to hear, thanks for that. Delivery is next Tuesday, they'll take the old one away.
I'm wondering about re-using the drawers in the garden2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Tetrissing like mad too - then, somewhere over the last few days, I read that it wasn't a good idea. I'll try to find it again _pale__pale__pale_ but heaven only knows if I can _pale_Suffolk_lass wrote: »We bought a new FF for DS's house this year - went for this one linky - they are happy
Still, Euronics is pretty well known round here, there's a shop in our high street, and they rang this morning with a confirmation and a 4 hour delivery window, without me bugging them! Good so far

I was a little bit naughty this morning - I meant to go to a U3A talk, part of the Ancient Civilisations group. But I did my usual thing of waking up *meaning* to go, and then not going. Supposedly a good reason - I need to work on the garden, even though working on it to this extent is really boring - but I just have to get it under control. So I popped out to buy a pack of mixed frozen veg (really expensive, BirdsEye, from a sort of corner shop, but healthy) and got straight into the garden, doing it in the morning like I wanted. I'll go out again, but a lot easy wins to go in the bin on Friday, so thats good. I'll change priorities next month.
I'm having the stitches in my back taken out tomorrow, and I suspect the ones right in the centre haven't healed - too much gardening:o:o which is another reason for doing as much as I can now
