I do like using the Amazon vouchers I get from SB ... they'll slow down now, but they're still useful when I can get them. I just bought a new computer mouse, same one as previously - it's leapt to the floor once too often :o and a couple of nice Kingston usb 3.0 flash drives, only 32GB, but I think they're pretty solid at that level. Delivery next week.

Our meeting wasn't what either of us expected :D we clicked on "Deals" and one thing led to another, and we're probably going to look at going on a cruise next month to the Baltic, and ports to and from, furthest point being St Petersburg :) it's only due to my sister's sensiblenessness that we haven't booked it already :rotfl:

  • Re the flu jab - dd and I are both offered it, for being coeliacs. I have only had flu twice in my life, dd just once (yep, we had it at the same time!). And I always say, 'no thanks' to the offer. Both my parents used to have jab. And both reacted quite badly, yet kept on having it. I guess that put me off. It's a personal choice and so long as you know why you made the choice you did, then that's good.

PS - book the cruise, wumman!

Thanks for that - yes, I'm ambivalent about the possibility of a reaction, especially because of the fatigue thing, but it could get *very* bad if I had the flu, so in the main, I'll go for it. Genetically, its our skin thats weirdest, so I'll hope I go along with that :)

I agree! But it takes two, y'know :D I think my sister will go for it - we're meeting again tomorrow morning.

I skipped the flu jab for a few years, having forgotten quite how bad flu is. This year I got flu and was unwell for nearly 6 weeks, and at one point only just able to get myself to and from the bathroom and pour myself the odd glass of water. So I need to get myself booked for one this year as I really don't need a repeat of that.

Exactly that! And I'm really worried about how flu would interact with chronic fatigue ... that makes me vulnerable, no doubt about it.

Anyway, I'm all done now, orf to bed, I've bookmarked a few interesting websites: the Russian alphabet :) tripadvisor on Tallinn, that sort of thing - I really hope we get to do it!

    Night night all :)

I’ve just booked my flu jab too Karma . Fortunately I’ve never had any adverse reaction but like greenbe I missed one year and got my first ever dose of flu  won’t be making that mistake again :rotfl:

Erm :p I'm glad! They don't feel it, I'll be honest - I spend a lot of time in my armchair at my computer, waiting for my energy to show up - but I'll take it :D

Oh wow! Done properly, school trips are amazing things, aren't they! There's 2 days in St Petersburg on this prospective trip, and we'll have to book the group tours - no time to get an individual visa now. So I'll learn as much as I can about the city (all the cities) but there, it's only a choice between tours. I'm wondering if we'll see any ballet - ballet has been incredibly important to me, and I've seen various Russian troupes over here in the UK, but to see one in Russia would be quite something! I think we'll go, it's just that my sister isn't quite as impulsive as I can be :o
