Sorry about that, Cheery
but oops, I switched off the computer too soon last night, there was an update from Microsoft doing its thing, so it resumed this morning, and I thought I'd killed my computer _pale_ since I was ready to back up, that was A Bad Thought - its okay now, though, thankfully.
Done a little bit of SB, ordered some Amazon vouchers, more SB and YG to do. So today:
- back up the computer, now!
- send French accounts, very fiddly.
- carry on filling the green bin.
- wash my hair, its a bit gruesome
- a bit of life admin. Sigh ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

:whistle:_party_:dance::p:cool::j at not killing my computer.
Also :rotfl:
Backup has nearly finished (got the software to do, but that won't actually take very long).
More dead stalks in the green bin - uh oh, thats come to an end. Catsitting is happening soon in any case, and he's using his bin for his own dead greenery. Back to bonfires for me - I'll probably be able to have one tomorrow, I should think, the weather seems set. If I do it early, it shouldn't clash with anyone's line-drying.
Half of the French documents sent. I need to print out their summary document, and I don't have any printer cartridges. For a long time now! Might ask my catsit rellies if they can print it out for me and leave it in their flat.
Hair is even more gruesome, thanks to all the dead stalks, which I have to heft over my head because the new gate is stuck closed ... oops.
Comparatively little done till now, because I *knew* I should be dealing with the French documents, and I hate doing it, I really hate it. So I put it off, and end up not doing anything at all ... such is life.
Answer: get a cup of instant coffee, send the other half of the French documents (much easier than the first half), finish the backup, wash my hair. There's an awful lot of things I'd rather be doing, but that will count as freeing me up to actually be positive over the weekend, rather than the doom-laden, accounts-owing glumster2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Good news on the French stuff

Since I started to use a digital camera about ten years ago, my storage needs have leaped up: last year's photos alone (two cruises, after all
) took up 20GB!
I've done the things I wanted: sent the second half of the French documents, washed my hair, finished backing up. Really, really pleased with that!
There's plenty of tidying up after all that lot, of course, but I've got time to sit back and have a think about spring and summer. Life is good2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
