Thanks beanie, you too xxx
I've just checked on a few things: my cc payment went through the second time, fortunately, and I checked on cash ISA rates: the best 1 year currently available, according to Martin, is Virgin at 1.45%. Pleased its Virgin, as I had a Regular Saver with them, and when it finished they transferred it to an ordinary savings account with a comparatively decent rate, so I'll go for it tomorrow morning - not doing it at this time in the afternoon, I don't trust myself with that after falling for that scam at 6pm recently!

I am sorry that you fear the return of something horrid, like other have said I do hope that you can ward it off.
BTW Happy New Year, this is the first time I have got to posting on your thread in 2019You have achieved so much in the last few months, try and make time for your body to rest and repair, keep trying the 15 minute burst for things that you feel must be done if you can. (I know it is easy to say and not so easy to do:D:D)

:hello: Hi Maddie! Thanks for posting, and Happy New Year to you too
Thats a good idea, actually, especially for the gardening work, going back to 15 minute bursts. The finances are more or less done, I just need to
- automate the return leg of feeding the account
- open up an isa
- submit the French accounts, which are done, and scanned.
- tidy paperwork to be stored.
Then, I'm on to cleaning: the house is unbelievably dirtymuch worse than "I haven't cleaned for a month". I'm not saying how dirty
:o:o
But none of that has to be done to a schedule :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
What I *really* need to do is make space in my life to listen to mindfulness/hemi-sync CDs on my old personal CD player ... it's a part of being human I really don't nurture.
You have been working hard to make space in your garden. So now you need to make space in your life, missus. Am only quoting you back at you! Stuff the mess.

If the b*gger does indeed visit I hope it is fleeting.

Just catching up KC and I hope you manage to fend the virus off/it's not as bad as you think it might be. Remember, you're in an entirely different place health- and life-wise now - hopefully it will take note and be scared to stick around for too long!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

it's the easiest thing in the world to use a cd player like that! I'm also going to buy some more eneloop batteries with the voucher money, they're very, very efficient, and I need more if I'm going to use the cd player
Remember if you're below the tax threshold you don't need to have an ISA. Aldermore are currently offering I think 1.99% or 2% for a year and there is £15 cashback on quidco :T.

the thing about the isa though, if you earn more than £1000 from interest, its taxable - and I don't want to test whether someone who's below the tax threshold can get away with that. Those rates you've mentioned are much better than Martin's rec, thank you :j

Afternoon all
it felt like I started today quite late, though I didn't really, and nearly all of it has been consumed by housework/ tidying/ putting the shopping away. Ridiculous! Though every time I go upstairs, I take a few kitchen gizmos with me, so I don't need to make special journeys to move the kitchen equipment
At least I've also done SB and YG. but that really is all.
