Morning all :) just :) I've been on the healthy walk already, I'm hungry already, its all good :D
My sister's here tomorrow, so I'm going to be working on the upstairs - scanning, cleaning  it's a bit of a maze because I've been concentrating on the garden.

I actually did all the scanning :j
Not only the French documents, but some comparatively unimportant correspondence which I can now chuck altogether, plus some very old prints we found at my mum's house. I think she picked them up in the 1990s - and I'll check with my sister about selling them, the images are interesting (a shed made from whalebone!) but the paper itself, I'm not particularly thrilled with.

It was a good session - I kept going, and did a minute of other stuff each time the scanner was going, it adds up on the tidying front :D

Sounds like you are on a roll on all fronts KC :D

Well done on the gardening too. Think I need to take a leaf out of your gardening and break it all down into manageable chunks as I get overwhelmed otherwise then do nothing :o

Aw, thanks teapot! The gardening work is really adding up and paying off, the borders are maybe 50% done now, which is astonishing. It seems ridiculous to just clear two or three square feet at a time - but I'm not of the age where I can do more, quite frankly! So sometimes I have to rake back the bark chippings I've put down previously, because otherwise they're in the way of that day's task, well, thats just how things are - as long as I don't put too much soil on *top* of the chippings, its fine. I absolutely know, now, that I can get some nice fruit bushes planted, and some good veg in, plus a few more of the flowers that I really like (scabious! and bees love it) I'm happy :)

Me too! Its only two letters difference, after all :rotfl:

I'm off for a walk in a couple of hours, but I've got health trouble :( I'm definitely in the beginning stages of a long slow something or other, which used to happen to me all the time. Hasn't happened since aboaut 2015, but its here. It's viral, not an infection :( I've been trying to ignore the similarities to previous experiences for about 10 days now, but its kind of unmistakable :(

Oh dear, I'm really sorry to hear that KC. It must be really upsetting to 'know' that you've felt like this before and what that means in terms of your health :(.

From your experience, is there anything that helps or does it mean resting as much as possible or?..........

So difficult when you have plans and want to get on with life :(

    Thinking of you x

    Thank you teapot :kisses3:
It's very variable, just like most viruses ... right now, for example, after we've been out walking in hilly countryside for an hour, I feel fine - I often wake up feeling utterly dire, and something like that helps me feel better. The ashwagandha herb helps too, and I've just opened a pack. Drinking more water (instead of tea :o) helps. I'm hoping it won't be as bad as it has been, because previously *all* my energy went on keeping work going - I don't have that this time.

It still may not develop into what I fear, because I don't have the work issues hovering over me. What I *really* need to do is make space in my life to listen to mindfulness/hemi-sync CDs on my old personal CD player ... it's a part of being human I really don't nurture.

  • I'm so sorry to hear you feel an old familiar virus is about to strike. You've done so well with everything you've packed in to this past few months. Your energy levels have put me to shame on many occasions:o. With so many plans already underway it must be a real concern for you. Let's hope it won't be as 'long and slow' as in the past and is just paying you a fleeting visit.

    Take care xxx
