:rotfl: using the word 'dug' in such a different context, after talking gardening, was kind of asking for trouble :rotfl: sorry about that
I've done very little, I just got bored with working, and people have been sending me photos of cats and babies, and thats much more fun :j
Didn't even use the sloppy nutloaf, that went back in the fridge, and didn't put the dishwasher on either - oops. Never mind, I'll cope, and I'm off to the volunteer shop tomorrow run by the horticultural society, should be interesting.

Thanks greent - I *am* keeping it at bay right now - First Defence is doing well. I can feel it still, but its not currently getting any worse, thank heavens.
I *did* go to the volunteer shop run by the horticultural society, its in their own *huge* shed just inside the grounds of a local farm. I bought some super potash, and some mycorrhizal fungi - you dose the roots of new plants with that, helps them get established. I'm definitely going to be planting several fruit bushes in spring, and there's a bit of that fungi already in the garden, so the new bushes can really move forward quickly.
Shattered now though! That was a lot of walking and new information, and I loved throwing myself into it2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thank you all - Ella, Beanie, and RT
I took things very, very easy yesterday after I got back, and even slept ages, though I didn't think I would. I was supposed to be going to a games afternoon today, the friend who moved to Glasto was driving over, but illness (other people's!) has scuppered those plans. It's a lovely day, and I'm at a bit of a loss, frankly. Life is getting a bit same-y with all this garden work - productivity can only take you so far.
I'll do an hour in the garden, I think - get a few more bricks under the fence, partly to stop the dogs getting through, partly to protect the wood for a few more years, and then tootle off on a walk somewhere. Also max an hour.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

That's a good one, earthie - does it twice over, so to speak
Just cooking a bit of lunch now, will do the garden as long as it takes to shore things up with a few bricks, then take myself out. Computer time when I come back, which will be limited to planning holidays
London catsitting, Sun caravan breaks in Kent and Essex so far for definite, then dreaming about the Malta one maybe

I *did* do the whole bricks-under-the-wall thing, very chuffed
Lots of brambles died. Ground ivy died. I found a little holly seedling, about three inches high, and potted it - I hope it lives. Didn't do the walk, though
Nice chat with sister, who's been away. And I had a little kindle splurge - £4 on a follow up apocafic book by Alex Scarrow. Such is life
