I'm in between an endomorph and a mesomorph when I did a test once.

I have a large chest so I do tend to get male attention no matter how fat I get, which is good or bad depending on your view.:p My hips aren't that big in comparison.

I'm dyeing some of the clothes I already have today, just the navy dye today. I'm doing my hand towels and nightclothes too so they match. It's always exciting to see if it actually works or not when you open the washing machine at the end.:rotfl:

How did you lose so much weight?:) Just cutting out booze?

I lost 5 stone at one point an then gained it all back and more. *Sigh*

Yea the weight dropped off .When you think 1 pint of lager is at least 200 cals
I'm an endomorph too, albeit a fat one at the mo.Am making a concerted effort to lose more weight in the new year, as my joints are really suffering now.I've had a lot of health issues that have contributed to my weight gain, but I won't bore you all with them now :rotfl:

  • I saw my doctor, knew she would ask about weight. I admitted I haven't managed to put anything on despite eating for England. She then commented on being underweight and I said I am actually a healthy weight going by BMI and she weighed me and said she thought I was about a stone and a half heavier than she thought by looking at me. No wonder she thought I was underweight. Don't know where I am hiding it but great as I don't need to worry about it.

I am an endomorph but I am (now) only 5ft 1in tall, so two stone overweight on me really shows. Also most of the weight goes on around my stomach/bottom, so I can look really huge.

I agree with showing off your good points. I have a nice face with not too many lines for my age (imho this comes through wearing nothing but moisturizer on it since I was a teenager, and never using soap), nice hair and a good cleavage, so even at my fattest I can show those off.

I look OK now I have lost three stone but still need to lose at least a stone more (height and weight chart says nearly 2.5 stone, but my face would look gaunt at that weight, so I have set my goal at a higher weight). My weight is fairly static at the moment, but I will make a concerted effort after Christmas.

ETA : Just read that endomorphs should have relatively less carbs and more protein than other body shapes, so I will fit that into my WW plan. Also, although I eat plenty of fruit and veg, it appears I need to shift the balance so that I eat more veg than fruit.

I already have cauli rice instead of rice. I will now try courgetti instead of spaghetti (I have a spiraliser which I have never used!).

The one thing that is my 'treat', which I would not like to give up, is my macaroni cheese. But I can use wholemeal macaroni instead of white, and I already make it with reduced fat cheese and skimmed milk.

Onwards and downwards! (weight-wise that is :) ).

I think it is the French who say when you get to 40 you have to choose your behind or your face i.e. small bottom gaunt face and wrinkles, bigger bottom and fewer wrinkles, and you have to remember you can always sit on your bottom. Seems logical. I think there is a weight loss that does show in the face and also losing weight too fast. When I lost weight due to shingles I looked really gaunt (I think combination of weightloss and pain) but I'm the same weight now and the gaunt look has gone.

Weight is a funny old business isn't it. I was watching an American programme in the night (couldn't sleep) and it was about two women who weighed over 600 lbs haven't worked it out exactly but I think that is over 42 st? They could barely walk but both managed to lose over half their body weight and then had surgery to remove loose skin, I think that was another 40 to 50 lbs. They both seemed to have partners/families/friends who were also very overweight, not quite as much as them but still very big. It was sad for their children I thought, parents who couldn't really look after them due to mobility problems.

Omg HUMPTY, I once had that fair of figure or face convo with my mate. She asked me what I thought she was n I said "very very slim!" It's true though, She's thin with a face like a bag of spanners, whereas I'm fat with a nice face, or so I've been told :o;)

  • A bit off-topic but thought people might be interested : it's a video of the village in Spain where I lived for eight years, entitled 'Yegen Between the Mountains'. Hope you all enjoy it!

"Face like a bag of spanners". What a fabulous expression, never heard that one before. Lol.

Just having a little break with a cuppa. I'm in serious "sorting mode". Well tbh I'm struggling to find stuff so I decided it was time to sort through my cupboards and wardrobes. I'm not actually throwing any clothes out this time, I'm going to decant some of it into a couple of suitcases and then revisit it in the spring and/or when I've lost weight.

I have put all my evening dresses and not currently worn coats etc into one wardrobe and then all my current coats and smart casual clothes that I wear regularly into another wardrobe. I am hanging up as much as I can so I can get rid of a chest of drawers in my bedroom. It will make the room feel more spacious. I am rather enjoying myself.

Even though I had a big declutter when I moved I can't believe how much "stuff" I still have.

There will have to be some serious kondoing next year. :rotfl:

Easy to accummulate stuff over the course of a few decades LL:rotfl:

Was sorting through my clothes earlier today and looking for a pair of those thick opaque tights to wear with my outfit for a lunch out with friend - and duly counted 31 pairs of opaque tights (and that doesnt include the new ones still in their packets unopened)

Remember when it was the era of frequently wearing dresses or skirts even in winter and so one added a pair of thick opaque tights to the outfit?

Was duly talking with my friend (someone else who moved here a few years ago like I did) and saying about plans for new clothes that I'm going to get - and we both burst out laughing at where/when I'm going to be wearing them in this area:rotfl: In my mind I still wear trenchcoat style raincoats and put an umbrella up if it rains - but I was people-watching here the other day on a rainy-ish day and 95% of the women that walked past me in the street here had either raincoats with integral hoods or waterproof outdoor jackets with integral hoods. I don't have such a raincoat - so I can see me landing up with 2 raincoats then, ie my usual trenchcoat style one and I've got 3 umbrellas on the one hand v. perhaps I'd better buy one of those raincoats with integral hoods on the other hand = I'm going to land up having two raincoats then.

I always have a coat and an outdoor winter jacket and I will be buying a new coat certainly and waiting to see if I can slim back down into my outdoor winter jacket (and buying a new one if I can't) - and I have no idea when I'll ever wear either of them much here - as I'll probably land up just grabbing the raincoat-with-integral-hood I don't own yet LOL.

I can see this is how my wardrobe is going to be - and I'll land up having rather more clothes here than I've been used to having. Extra clothes I need for living here will be bought on top of my "usual wardrobe worth" = that would be clumpy but reasonable boots (bought them since coming here), wellington boots (ditto), etc.

I'm clearly not going to be able to declutter down to one wardrobe of clothes - whilst I have my usual wardrobe and a "living here" wardrobe = rather more clothes then.
  • The clothes came out well! I refreshed a navy cardigan and my pyjama bottoms and hand towels. I had some white vest tops that came out a slightly lighter blue colour and a faded tee that came out navy.

I am most pleased with the two black and white dresses I put in.

They are just cheapy ones from George at Asda but they look a lot classier now they are navy blue and black.

I bought myself an x-mas present of an umbrella that has a design like peacock feathers. I had it on my Amazon wishlist for ages and thought I would just buy it.:)

Glad the clothes dyeing went well. A whole new wardrobe for the price of a pack of dye. I once dyed some sofa covers, took 4 packs of dye but still cheaper than new covers.

    Your umbrella sounds fab.

You know how sometimes you see something you really love but then you think perhaps not because it's too expensive. I once saw a gorgeous umbrella in a shop in Barcelona. It was 45 euros so I didn't buy it. I have never seen it's like anywhere else. I should have treated myself.

Money.....I always think coats are horses for courses really. I have both a traditional cream trench coat and a classic green waxed jacket with an extra warm fleece lining. (Actually it was my husbands). That has a concealed hood. Both are now donkeys years old but their aged patina seems to just add to their charm. And they both have their uses.
