Glad to hear you're having a good time LL. It's grey, wet and dark here so you've made an excellent choice. We have a friend who does 'lectures' on cruise ships. He does a talk about each port of call in advance so people know how to make the most of the stopover if they've not been before. Nice work if you can get it.:)

Thanks for the update on flaxseed oil humpty. I was thinking of taking one alongside glucosamine but I haven't read the suggested dosage yet. I started on the cod liver oil as my joints were getting a bit stiff and sometimes sore after lots of dancing. I certainly feel better. If the flaxseed has other benefits then I'll be delighted.:)

I have my appointment for eyebrow wax and tint later so that's my main fabbing for the day. I might go into the city a little earlier and have a browse although I don't want to battle Christmas shoppers. :(

If I could find a new strapless bra and a plain, quality black top I'd buy them. :)

Don't know if anyone else watched that Mrs Wilson programme the other evening? I saw it on catch up and thought it was excellent. It's set in the early 60s so the period bit is good as well as the storyline. First episode of a series if anyone's interested. :)
  • I'm planning on watching Mrs Wilson on catch up. Apparently the lead actress is playing her grandmother, how amazing is that.

Thanks for the feedback on Mrs Wilson - I've recorded it so will watch over the weekend.
Glad you're having a lovely time LL - you've certainly made the right decision in more ways than one!
Maman - is there a Matalan in your area? I've found them pretty good from bras and both my black & white strapless ones came from there. Good fit and they stay put!
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Madeira today. Just had a leisurely breakfast and off to go on shore in a bit

I love Madeira. One of my favourite places. It’s going to around 20c today. Perfick.

    No Johns. :rotfl::rotfl:

Stop it! You're making me well jel :rotfl:
I'm having to watch A place in the sun on repeat, n pretend I'm on hols :rotfl:

  • I gave in, couldn't cope with the mop. Floors now sparkling. There's life in the old dog yet.
  • I'm up to page 70 now.:D

I took a long look at my wardrobe and I really need some new things. I'm losing weight so it will be from charity shops as the clothes will just be for a short period of time. I'm going to look next week.

I think I will get rid of the stuff I don't want or doesn't look good because why would i want to keep clothes that don't suit me!:p

I'm going to look at that Kettlewell Colour website that I read about on here. I like red, dark blue and dark green so I don't know what that makes me, summer, winter or what?

I have red/brown hair and blue eyes and am very pale. I used to colour my hair and wore a darker lipstick but I looked up what colour I should wear and it said peach so I bought a couple of new lipsticks and one of them looked much better than my usual old one.

I wore makeup and my new perfume today and used an eye pencil on my brows. My husband said my eyebrows looked the same (!) but I am thinking about trying tinting them.

  • Hello Ladies,

LL I am glad to know that you are having a fabulous time on your cruise. :D

I went to see the film Mission Impossible Fallout at my local Odeon yesterday and I absolutely loved it. The action was so exciting and heart stopping in a really great way. It kept me completely focused on the story line as it unfolded. This film was a 10/10 for me. :j:D

I am hoping the store is going to exchange my faulty washing machine for a new one in the next few days. It stopped mid action on a wash cycle today. I followed the instructions in the manual and got it restarted, but it will keep on developing faults, so I have asked the store in writing to arrange to exchange it as soon as possible.

I am going to a Open Mic Poetry Evening tomorrow. A night of dancing in the pub with my favourite DJ on Saturday and then Karaoke on Sunday. :D A full on fun weekend planned for myself so I am hoping my Arthritis does not flare up this coming weekend.
  • I got winter in the quiz.:D

Colours in the Winter palette are cool, bold, vibrant and intense. Colours include pillar box red, magenta, crimson, midnight blue, emerald green, turquoise and indigo.

Seems like I was buying some of the right colours of clothing without realising it.

I hope you are using 'Johns' with the English usage rather than American. No good for fabbing if there are no Johns in the American sense :)
