    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok. It's typically April weather here at the
mo - a mix of sunshine & rain showers. Always have my brolly
to hand ...... just in case! pluie07.gif

It's a shame the Wall of Hope was cancelled due to heavy
rain leanfun but lovely to hear that you & friend still
managed to go there to place some flowers, despite the
weather. The parade on Sunday sounds glorious. :T

Your break sounds wonderful sheils - not long before you're
    away again! :D

I would love to go to Whitby for the Goth weekend but I
think I would give the Dracula experience a miss!
I love people watching, (not in a creepy way though, I
hasten to add! :rotfl:). I just find humans (in all
walks of life) absolutely fascinating & think I would find
this event amazing! Full of 'the wonderful with a touch of
    weird'! :p

Anyhow I've blathered on enough, must get on - got a
    busy morning ahead.

Have a lovely day all and please take care whatever your
    plans.

    Good Morning,

Thanks all. Have got everything sorted now I think, appointments made, bills paid, vouchers for next trip printed, restaurants booked and all washing on line! Just the little matter of ironing later. Lovely sunny morning so hopefully everything will be dry by afternoon. Looking forward to a completely different trip this time with fancier meals and theatre visits. Hoping to walk a little bit more of the Lancaster Canal .We have just a few more miles before we get to Preston on it. Still some in the north to walk but they are restoring some of it as it has been difficult to do.
DH going to make some of his special chilli, celery, lentil , corriander, tomato soup for lunch so will probably just have pizza for dinner.
Hope the weather dries up for everyone. It does make a change to be dry here and wet other places!
Off for a little walk down to the town to buy couple carrots for DHs soup and a loaf.
    Enjoy your weekend .

Morning all. Completely overslept here. Woke up shocked to find it was 10 already.

Sheils great you are all ready for the off tomorrow. Next week sounds a very interesting trip for you both. Yummy to the soup.

Alfie I too like people watching. It was very interesting how people react to delays especially over such a long time. Have to say as the only woman by herself people were very friendly and I was mainly with two couples.

Indie pleased to hear your DSs !!!!!! parents like Madeira too. It is an amazing place
But over the last two years there has been a lot of climate change. The airport is in the only possible position and is often windy there causing delays. Hope they have not had this experience.

We need to do some shopping as fridge is bare here. Hope everyone has a good day. Be lucky.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

I hope you're all well on this glorious Sunday!

Have a safe journey and a wonderful time in Lancashire
    sheils. xx

It's a bright n' chilly start to the day here but thankfully dry.
I've just been out in the garden to shoo away a local puddy
cat who had been feasting his eyes on a dear little blackbird
    chick!

Anyhow, all is well out there now .... Mr & Mrs Blackbird have
stopped screeching, chick has been reunited with them and
    puddy cat has scarpered! :T

I attended a gardening workshop yesterday - it was
brilliant, my idea of heaven! jardinage0.gif

Had a tasting session of various edible flowers (some of
which I hadn't even realised could be eaten) plus weird &
wonderful salad stuff - all home grown.

Chatted about all things garden related including the
pests - especially the dreaded slugs! We also
enjoyed a walk around the garden plot (lovingly looked
after by various volunteers inc. special needs schools,
kiddies groups and other deserving local clubs). :grinheart

We ended the workshop by sowing a variety of edible flower
& salad seeds to take home. Lovely group of like-minded
    people - thoroughly enjoyed myself. :j :D

Have a lovely day all and please take care whatever your
    plans.

Dull here but no rain so far.

Sheils hope you have a good journey and weather is ok for you.

Alfie that sounds like a brilliant day you had at the gardening workshop great you had something to take home. Just your cup of tea as they say. Lo to the poor blackbird chick pleased you caught the paddy.
You have reminded me I had a Christmas present of some pots for herbs so should have a go planting them up.

Firefly and Alfie thanks for the flowers.

Yesterday we took some ready food over to DDs and had dinner with her and DGs. So that made a change for all.

Hope you all have an enjoyable Sunday and good luck.

Have had a lovely day. Walked into Lancaster along canal and back by river after early meal at Bella Italia (voucher for £1 meal with a paid one)
Got a nice new T-shirt at Marks (using left over voucher win plus £1.27) and now having free wine at hotel! Had an odd light shower but was mainly sunny.
Glad you had good time at Garden workshop Alfie. I must admit I sometimes wonder when I get flowers on my plate.

Hope weather stayed nice for you FF. Thought of you the other day when I found some parsley growng in garden. I had planed it from one of those pots you buy in supermarket after I used it in soup. It is growing away nicely.

Like ready food sometimes leanfun it means you can relax and enjoy your company.
