:hello: Good morning everyone
It's lovely to 'see' you again rose. :A
So sorry to hear of your horrendous accident! _pale_ Sounds
as if you have been well looked after by your wonderful
family. :A
Please take care and hope all goes well at your hospital
appointment on Friday. Sending big (((hugs))). xxx
It's another glorious start to the day here although has a
fresher feel at the mo. I'd heard that some parts of the UK
had hail yesterday fire**fly! The weather certainly
keeps us on our toes! :rotfl:
We had a few swift but heavy rainfalls yesterday & I agree,
it started to feel a bit chilly here late afternoon/early evening.
Had to put a warmer top on!
Must fly and do a quick bit of comping - I'm fairly keeping
up with them at the moso have to try & keep
the momentum going!:rotfl::rotfl:
Have a lovely and lucky day all and please take care
whatever your plans.

Hi all. Just read a little way back.
Rose great to hear from you. We had been wondering about you. What a dreadful thing to happen to you. So pleased to hear you are on the mend and your family are looking after you. (Big Hugs)
Happy belated Birthday Miummy2threeboys. Sorry to hear about your neighbour.
Congratulations on the wins. I had to read further back when I saw Alfie had a win. Well done Alfie.
As a last minute thing I decided to take up a friends invitation to join her for the flower festival in Madeira last week. We met in Madeira years ago and sadly he husband died two years ago. We also met up with another friend of hers from Boston who had also left her husband at home. Weather not always good but held off for the flower parade on Sunday which was wonderful. We had a great time. My friend is there for another week. On Monday the lady from Boston had an early flight to Lisbon and then on to Boston all went well. Then wind at airport meant flights could not land and take off. I was due to fly Monday late afternoon. We usually fly from Gatwick but as I booked last minute I flew Jet2 from Stanstead. A lot of standing in queues but they put us up at two different hotels Monday and Tuesday nights. Yesterday we were two and half hours on ferry to Porto Santo and our plane landed there and brought us home yesterday evening. I felt sorry for the people coming off that plane from UK I think they had three aborted landings on Madeira over the days and had been taken to Grand Caneria each time. At least my Stanstead flight and my friends Leeds flight landed no problems on inward bound flight. Had a great time and husband was pleased to see me back home.
Madeira is a wonderful island but is volcanic rock and roads are either going up down or you go through tunnels. Airport is one of top dangerous places to land as runway is on stilts in the ocean. Tired today.
Great to read back and especially to hear from Rose.0 -
Morning peeps. Cold here but no rain. Hope everyone is well. Off to do an online shop. DIL is popping in later after she drops grandkids off at school. Kettle is boiling so off for a cuppa.0

Morning, Maderia sounds lovely leanfun. My sons GF parents go there for a week every year they love it out there. It's been raining all night and stopped a little while ago. I think it's going to be like yesterday, sunny one minute then showers the next. Typical April weather. I'm off out later to pay some bills and pick up some fridge fillers.Hope you all have a lucky day.0

:hello: Good afternoon everyone
Hope you're all in fine fettle today! The April showers
have been doing their thing down here!
We had showers on and off yesterday afternoon & more
rain through the night. It's bright and breezy at the
mo but doubt it'll last! Think we're due more showers
this afternoon.
Hope all goes well at the hospital today rose. :A
Your trip to Madeira sounds wonderful leanfun. I've never
heard of the Flower Festival ... just googled - what a lovely
way to celebrate Spring. I hope you don't mind .... I've
included the link - it's so interesting. I love the 'Wall of
Hope'. :A

Alfie thanks for the link. I did think of looking for a link but the delays and standing in queues caught up with me.
Sadly on Saturday there was heavy rain all day and the Wall of Hope was cancelled. Our American friend brought flowers from her hotel and we put them on the wall with a few others there.
Amazingly the rain stopped for the parade on Sunday and it was brilliant, so many young people taking part. Wonderful flowers, costumes and singing so uplifting.
Whitby Gothic weekend sounds very interesting.0 -
Hi everyone,
Had a lovely break , the weather was sunny with the odd shower and pretty windy at times. We did lots of walking, quite a lot of it along the Berwickshire Coastal path which has spectacular views. Have been rushing about getting things done today as only chance I had to do some of them as heading off again on Sunday. We are heading to Lancashire this time. We didn't have the internet so not been keeping up with anything.
Glad you enjoyed most of your holiday leanfun.
Alfie we have been to Whitby at the end of the Gothic weekend - some strange sights going about! There is a Dracula experience there which terrified my DD when she was little. They have actors who jump out at you. You think they are statues.
Well done to all the prize winners. No luck here.
Nice to see you back rose and hope you are fit again soon.
Must get on with some financial stuff on line.
