Hi everyone,
In Blackpool now. Had lovely time wandering about the prom and along the North pier which is needing some planks of wood replaced. They have done some, but both DH and I got a fright thinking some planks were going to give way! Sea was pretty choppy today but seems more like Blackpool when it is like that.
We finished walking the Lancaster Canal yesterday. We walked further than usual as we were so close to the end. Ate at Chef and Brewer using Tesco vouchers and had lovely meals. Going to eat early at Brewers Fayre tonight so we get 2 meals for £8.99 and I changed our points for a free bottle of wine.
Going to Sealife Centre tomorrow (Tesco voucher again) and then seeing Sarah Millican at night (Ticketmaster wins)
Think I am doing a great job with my MSE habbits.
Sorry your DH was ill on your free weekend mummy2. I remember how nice it was to have a free night from the kids. We didn't have many as I was a widow with 2 small sons when I met DH and then we had a boy and girl too. Anyway, making up for it now.
Hope your pain goes soon rose.
Wishing everyone lots of luck.

Pain not too bad today shiels. Compared to what it has been. Pain killers are knocking lumps out of me so trying to so without unless I really need them. DIL has ordered a rental wheelchair from somewhere in Hamilton. She got the address and phone number from the local Citizens Advice. So will pick it up tomorrow. She is going to stick it in the boot of her car and bring it down here. DS is not home yet so he knows nothing about accident which is just as well as he would be worrying. Will help me get out and about as I am so fed up being stuck inside. DIL's brother is a joiner so he is going to make a slope thing to help get chair out of door as I have a step at both of mine. Walking is still a problem Although I am getting about at home ok now. Have a zimmer and two walking sticks now. Hopefully they will be gone soon along with the pad thing I am sitting on that raises my sitting position so that I can get on my feet out of a chair. My own folding stick is redundant at the moment and feeling a bit lonely lol. Hope someone has had a win today. Off to sort out dinner have chicken in the oven along with potato wedges and some frozen cauliflower cheese.0

So many people seem to be losing limbs these days mummy2 - really scary. Not sure how they cope.
Thanks re warrior status! I use Tesco voucher a lot including having their credit card (paid back in full every month as martin would say) Because we go away so much we use Brewers Fayre etc for meals and use their rewards scheme for free meals and wine also get free meals from them on birthdays and wine on anniversarys, My best scheme is Holiday Inn rewards promotions as book in winter at really cheap rates, tick off their targets and get big bonuses which result in free stays. Also a member of their advisory panel so get bonuses for my advice on surveys. Wins and cash back sites help too!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
