Hi everyone,


Im not away until tomorrow. Seldom go away on Saturdays as always expensive and more likely to get a lot of noise.
Not cold here and Edinburgh looking OK.
Been really naughty and booked another Forest Holidays break in Yorkshire for begining of Feb. DH is paying for the March break we had booked, for my birthday so joint account can pay for this one!
Anyway, got my washing up to date and ironing done. DH has done his packing so will see how how space he has left me!



My DD loves her job most of time too luckofthedraw. Just wish she hadn't picked working with the most dangerous patients!


I too have gone walking into the wrong shop before now indie, usually the one next door if they look similar and then wondered why they didn't have the thing I went in for. Because we live in a small town there are certain things I buy in certain shops when we go away as can't get them here.



Hope you feel better soon leanfun. I seldom take anything apart from an odd paracetamol as don't think anything helps much.

Morning, glad i am not the only one to walk into the wrong shop sheils. Thought i was having a senior moment at the time,lol.
Hope your having a good break.
Work was ok, i was on the nursing floor for a change although we were 1 short it wasn't too busy. It was raining all day yesterday and it's still going now, not heavy rain but makes everything dull and miserable out.

Sorry to hear you have had so much rain Indie. Pleased work was not too bad.

My head cold is drying up so feeling a lot better but it’s not gone completely. DS has had it much worse. Seems lots of colds about.

Raining here again,seems to rain when i am off work as yesterday it was lovely and quite warm out,although i only got outside on my breaks at work.Oh well it may dry up,the day is young,lol.
Glad to hear your cold is drying up leanfun, and yes there is a lot of colds around.
Hope the weather warms up where you are Hazel.it's horrible when you have to go to work and the weather is bad.
I am off food shopping today as run out of a few things and then have some housework to do. Hope you have a lucky day,nearly end of month so fingers crossed for a nice win.

So sorry if this isn't the right place to ask - I'm new to MSE comps and it's a bit overwhelming! Where are the one-off online entry comps kept? I can only find threads for one off phone/text etc or daily online ones.

All comps are posted on the main board here. A lot of these are one-off online comps

They are arranged in the date order they are posted.

At the top left of this page is a sort arrow this puts the competitions in date order and you can go along to the pages to find the current date.

The second post on this page gives you everything you need to know about competitions on the forum

When you open a competition in a new post on the bottom right there is a tick or a cross to help you keep track of these you have entered.

Hi all. Thankfully I’ve been much better from pm the cold still not completely gone but it was just a head cold. DS is still really poorly has he has a very low immune system.

Been having trouble with WiFi so have not been here very much.

Indie hope you have had a good day off. Agree with you let’s hope we have some luck with end of months. It’s been a bit frustrating trying to catch up with them with WiFi problems. I keep wondering what it’s going to be like with the new look next week.

Morning,

Won't say good morning as it is bucketing down and blowing a gale!
Not expecting to get out much today. Not got all our washing done from last trip as don't like puting some things in the drier.
Had a lovely visit to Edinburgh, like to have at least an annual visit there, usually in the winter as too expensive in the summer. Nearly didn't get to see GS as they had heavy snow but luckily the gritters came out to them about an hour before we went. It is annoying not living near our only GC as we will miss so much. My sisters have all their GCs living within a mile or two.
Not having any luck with the comps but my efforts with gaining points on IHG (Hol Inns etc) has paid off. Have just booked 2 free ngts in Yorkshire in August at lovely hotel in balcony room and have another 2 free nights to pick. Nearly another free night on DHs account too.

Morning, Glad to hear your feeling better leanfun, hope your DH does soon.It's horrible when you can't get over a cold ect.
Your weather sounds horrid up there sheils,hope today is better.Well done on getting the free nights away.
i didn't go to work as had to take Charlie to vets. He hurt his foot again yesterday after going for a walk. We got him some boots to wear out as he kept doing it to his back feet and he went out with his boots on the back paws as wearing all 4 together he was kicking the front ones off so we thought get him use to the back ones first and he hurt his front paw.The vet thinks it's an absess that has popped, came up last night and popped 3ish this morning, so off to the vets we went. He has anti-biotics and pain relief now. Got to take him back tomorrow morning as his temp was very high and they want to check it.Animals are worse than kids,lol. But i wouldn't change him.
