Just back from a walk down town. It is blowing a gale here and rain forecast for later. Like to get out for a little while though. There are flood alerts for this area and the harbour looked like the water was going to come over anytime.

Luckily DS3 doesn't need an op but will take a while and won't be able to work which is a worry.

Enjoy your relax indie. I did all the washing yesterday too as it was such a lovely day.

Hope you are feeling better now leanfun. It is tiring having people visit - cooking, cleaning etc.

Sheils hope weather your way has not been too bad. A friend in Glasgow messaged tonight to say lots of trees down there.
Pleased your DS3 does not need an op but it will take a long time to be better. It’s certainly a worry.
Thanks we are beginning to feel a lot better. I’m only just starting to catch up with all the bedlinen, normally it would be done ages ago.

Indie hope you had a relaxing day. Well done on 30p win. I managed 20p.

Take care everyone and good luck.

Good news about your DS3 sheils,it should heal quicker without an op. Has he been told how long to expect being off work?
I hope the weather wasn't too bad for you last night.
Glad your feeling much better leanfun,
I wasn't very well yesterday and started being sick in the afternoon, went to bed at 6 and got up at 2 and sickness gone.I must have picked up a bug from work.DS was panicking as mum is never ill, bless him.
I have had a couple of dry biscuits to take my meds with and they have stayed down so that's good.I am just going to take it easy today.

    Morning,

Heading off to Dumfries for cars first service. That year went quickly!
Got 3 years “free” services with car and then garage went bust but luckily services were with Mitsubishi. Thought we would need to take car 60 miles for it but another garage took over a couple of months ago in Dumfries which is about 28miles.
Going to visit DD in her new flat, haven’t seen it yet. In fact we haven’t seen her this year yet! She is on holiday again though. Think she is going to visit DS2 and family tomorrow for a few days. Hopefully she will see DS3 too while in that area. He isn’t very forthcoming with info.

Glad you are feeling fitter now leanfun.

Hope you are ok now indie. I hate being sick.

Must get on. Good luck all x

Indie hope you are okay today and sickness has gone. Smiled about your son. Hope you have a good rest, take care.

Sheils sorry to hear the car dealer went bust but pleased your services were with Mitsubishi. It’s great when you don’t have to worry about the service. Hope you have a good day today visiting DD. Great she is going to visit her nephew tomorrow. Sheils hope weather is better your way.

It’s GD in Scotland’s 8th birthday today. Hope weather is not too bad for her.

More wasting and ironing here nearly done.

Morning, what a night it was, thought the wind was going to take the roof off. It has dropped now but rain is still going. Haven't been out back yet to see if there is any damage but can see fences are still up.
Hope you had a good visit at DD's sheils and your car had it service ok.
I know what you mean about the washing and ironing leanfun, it seems never ending sometimes as you get one lot done then before you know it there is another lot waiting to be done.
I need to pop to shops later for a few bits, hope you all have a lucky day

Great you are a lot better Indie. We too had strong winds last night and it’s still raining. Heard from Scotland last night they were ok and GK had a good birthday yesterday.

Bad news from my sister yesterday. Her eye sight is no better. The steroid drops have made no difference. She is waiting for her appointment at the end of the month with the specialist clinic. Yesterday a friend drove her miles to a specialist optician near her that had similar equipment to the hospital. He said her eye sight has deteriorated more. On the good side he was able to prescribe glasses that enable her to see the end of the pavement which she hasn’t been able to see for years and has caused her great anxiety. She also has terrible time with stairs.
The thing is medicine has improved so much we expect a lot. At the beginning of the nineties I worked with someone who had glaucoma and was going blind. Now the drops my sister has have stopped further development of her glaucoma for years. I think I said before she is in the same position as you Indie re retirement and still has a few years to work before she receives her pension.

Yes re washing spoke too soon about it being nearly done. We changed some beds yesterday and loads of bed linen awaits.

Let’s hope there’s some luck with the competitions. Take care.

The wind is still gusting away here but it was quite sunny today. Got a load of towels dry without even having to finish them in the drier!
Car got on fine yesterday and found most of the staff we used to deal with at the new garage which was nice.
Had the dentist today so glad that is over for another 6mths (fingers crossed!)

Must be worrying for your sister leanfun. I hope things will be ok.

Hope you are ok now indie.
