Morning, i hope you all had a good christmas. We had a good one, nephew cooked a lovely meal for us all.I had some nice presents and everyone seemed to like theirs. DS and his GF are back to work now but i am off till NYD so a few more days off for me.So glad the advents are over now although still a chance we could recieve wins from them next week. I went out for milk and bread yesterday and shops were quiet, think everyone spent all their money in the mad rush to empty the supermarkets beforehand, lol
Hope you all have a good weekend

Indie great you had a good Christmas. Brilliant nephew cooked for you all. Hope you enjoy the rest of your days off.

We had a good Christmas Day. I managed the dinner ok and everyone enjoyed it. Boxing Day DD1 and I took children to Greenwich Park where boys only played football before it rained. GD and I did a little walk around so she saw the view. We could have just gone to local park. Yesterday DD1 and DS took them up town they went on London Eye and watched things going in in Covent Garden and came back really happy.

Yes, Indie pleased the advents are over. We might still have a win in the Inn.DH and I went shopping yesterday too. We saw a women with a trolly of reduced turkeys. We were speculating what she was going to do with them.

Sheils hope you are enjoying visit from your family and GS.

Take care and hope everyone has a quiet weekend.

Glad you had a good few days leanfun
I use to love going to Greenwich park when i was a kid, we use to have a lot of fun, take the cricket bat and us kids would wear ourselves out running around.Maybe the trolly full of turkeys are going to be frozen and used up in the new year, lol. I went to Tesco to get some fruit and all the sweets and christmas biscuits are reduced to silly prices.I picked up a few bits but some were filling there trollys, well if you have a lot of kids or grandkids they will get eaten..I did get a large chicken for 74p but DS's GF is going to cook them a curry today so it will get used.DS's GF has lost her voice and her parents are down today. They are meeting round her grandmothers, who lives round the corner from us so they have gone round there to exchange presents. So i have a few hours to do some comping.
I hope you all have a good day

Sounds like you have both had a good time leanfun and indie.
Have had a busy time since night of 26th. Was lovely to see everyone especially our GS but hard work with all the cooking etc. We are now back to normal and enjoying the quiet!
Got some lovely presents including an Amazon Echo which I love. DH loves it too and gets Alexa to play some strange music.

Glad you had a good christmas sheils, I think babies first christmas is always special. DS's GF got an Alexa last year and use's it in the bedroom.
I get in a right 2 and 8 with it as she will be talking to it and i think she's talking to me,lol. We use them in work and have 1 on each floor. Also good for residents that can talk but can't push the alarm as they can tell it to call us.
I have nothing planned for the day so will just potter around. Hope you all have a lucky day.

Great you had a good time with family Sheils. Agree with you Indie babies first Christmas is special.
Amazon Echo sounds good. Indie what a good use for the Amazon Echo for people who can speak but not move. If we had one I would be confused too and think someone was speaking to me.

Here GS has arrived as DD1 has gone to work. So three GKs here. DH makes their breakfast. Yesterday it was so sunny and fairly warm here. I took the boys to local park, all they want to do is kick a ball and DS took daughter to a New Years family Disco.

Been trying to catch up with end of months. Maybe we will have some luck there.
