Quite dull and cold here today. DS took his two b ack to Glasgow yesterday so it was all go. I went with them on the train to Gatwick to see them off. Sad to see them go but we are very tired here now. GS wanted to be home for his 11th birthday today.

We have local GS here today as DD1has gone to work. He doesn’t want to do much and I think park will be too muddy. We have already had loads of mud in the hall.

Indie hope you have had a good rest over the holidays and work is ok today.

Let’s hope there is a first win in the Inn soon. Good luck all.

Been really wet here today. Got tree and decorations packed away.
Was still a holiday here today although the supermarkets opened at 10am I think. Did get a courier delivery of sale items from M&Co. Got some nice new swimsuits, T-shirt and birthday presents for GS at bargain prices. Bought 5 things so got another 20% off the sale prices.

Booked the first of our caravan breaks in June. Going to Looe in Cornwall to start with. Deciding whether to go to Torquay after that as not been for a few years. Used a code for £50 off so hope it is ok as was an old one from last year that other people seem to be using again!

Hope you have the chance to relax now leanfun. It is hard work having the family home.

Indie hope you didn't have to work too hard today.

    Wishing everyone a lucky 2020. x

Evening, work was busy and we finished 10 minutes before home time I was shattered as nearly everyone is 2 people to move, and 20 of them are feeds with all meals. Apparently they were short staffed everyday over the last week.( even today someone called in sick)Some of the staff went home half way through the day,one of them a 24 year old with a child of 4 had to go home yesterday at 1pm as she was tired,i was gobsmacked, she only works 2 days a week.
your house will be quiet now leanfun, hope you get some well earned rest
Well done on booking your holiday in June sheils and getting the bargains from M&Co.
My new year has got off to a rubbish start, came home tonight to find fridge has died on me so will order a new one tomorrow. Not really complaining as it was givern to me over 10 years ago so had good use from it.Let's hope it's not going to come in 3's,lol.

Glad your new fridge arrived safely indie. At least it isn’t the middle of summer. Remember having to find a home for my stuff when fridge/freezer died in summer.

We are heading off tomorrow for 2ngts at Lancaster and then 2 at Kendal. Both are nice hotels with pools etc. Got a DB&B deal at Lancaster so that will make a nice change. Going to get 4x points on the stay too so will get me about half a stay somewhere else! The Kendal one was through hotels.com with Tesco vouchers so also a bargain . Just B&B there though.
Feel like we need a break now to get over the festivities!

Morning. Hope it’s a quiet day here today should just be the two of us. GS was here yesterday as DD1 had unusually to go to work. We went up to the park so he could play football. It was sunny and not as muddy as it has been.

Indie just read about your fridge. Pleased you were able to have a new one delivered quickly. We have tree decorations to come down and a massive clean up plus laundry. Work sounds hard. It’s difficult this time of year with all the coughs etc.

Sheils hope you enjoy your break. Sounds as though you have some good bargains again. Recently I’ve been surprised how many hotel breaks there have been on the mag dailies. Let’s hope for some luck there. We are thinking of a spring break.

    Good luck everyone.

Morning, well just. I’ve mega overslept this morning.

Yesterday neighbour was ill turned out to be an irregular heart beat that made her dizzy and faint with severe chest pains. She lives by herself but was fortunately able to phone for help. The paramedics knocked here and I was able to go to the hospital with her until her son arrived. She came home later and has outpatients appointment. She has heart problems and it’s such a shame as she has been doing so well since her husband died two years ago. She’s lucky to have great sons who all live a distance away but come every week.

Today is supposed to be the start of big clear up here. Indie well done on persevering with your kitchen. It does make a big difference if you have things where they are convenient to get at. Years ago when we had new kitchen we rearranged everything and it made life a lot easier.

Hope you have had a good journey Sheils.

Well Christmas tree here we come the sixth time to come down.

    Good luck everyone.

Still haven't found it and givern up looking now.Only been trying since just after 9 this morning, lol. It will be easier to buy a new one next shopping trip.
DS won a mag daily today a Poinsettia, that should brighten things up as now decs and tree are away everything seems so dull. It's cold and dark here today so have lights on.Hope you all have a good afternoon.
