The Compers Inn (part 48)

Morning Gks arrived yesterday. Their plane from Glasgow was delayed a bit but their journey was ok otherwise. I felt very organised being able to send their birthday presents home with their mother. Both of their birthdays are early January. She had three hours before she flew back.
DD1 was here with GS when we arrived home. They all went wild together.
So suddenly cooking for 4 adults and three children is a bit of a shock. It’s going to be a hectic time. The two from Scotland don’t go to sleep very early. Oddly enough GD had more of a Glaswegian accent in the summer than now, she still has the American twang as has GS.
Sheils you will be busy now and looking forward to Boxing Day and then seeing your other visitors and GS.
Indie hope work was not too bad yesterday. Did the antibiotics help your cough? Heard lots of coughing out yesterday. Hope your and your DS are better for Christmas and can enjoy the break.
I won maybe 10p and 20p on topcashback this time. I did win a little something on Instagram from a garden centre near DD1. She collected it yesterday. The tiniest ornament you have ever seen. A pear about an inch long. They are an enormous place with lots of customers.
It’s all quiet down stairs. Better investigate.
Take care all. Let’s hope for some advent wins.0 -
Morning, your house sounds like it's going to be hectic for a while leanfun, lol.Glad GK's arrived ok.I did laugh at your pear ornament, you would have thought they could have givern a few more of them but a win is a win.
Work was ok i was on residential floor which is slower so no rushing around but all the floors were 2 people short and a nurse and 2 people phoned in yesterday sick for the night shift. I think they got them covered but it's not very good when staff are going sick at this time of year. I know there is a lot of sickness around so it's to be expected.
I still have a cough but not as bad as before and i am not wheezing so anti-biotics did some good.We have a sunny start to the day here i hope it's stays.
Good luck with prizes this week.0 -
Morning, went to tesco's for milk and bread yesterday morning...OMG! it was manic i was there before 10 and people were waiting for parking spaces. It's a big supermarket with lots of parking and it was full. I got my milk and bread and left as quick as i could, lol. I took DS's GF in later for her shift at 3 and it was the same, people waiting for parking spaces. I didn't need one as dropped her off at door then came home.I picked her up at 10 and the car park was half full but people were still going in with trollys and bags. It's open 24 hours a day so can't imagine how much money they will be taking.I was talking to the cashier in the morning and she said they will be busier today. DS's GF is working 10-7 today and they are closing at 7 so she will be exhausted when she gets home.
I had a win yesterday with the Nursing Advent, a No 7 make up set. I won on that one last year as well.I have a parcel being redelivered today but think it might be one of the teddies i won as was too big for letterbox.Anyway off to make a coffee. Hope you all have a lucky day.0 -
Just been on one of our local radio stations.I forgot i entered it as it was a advent enter once. I won some Rum, Gin and a local brewery tour.I was panicking thinking "was there a question i needed to remember, lol"but there wasn't.My parcel turned up it was a small teddy won on the Pasquier advent.0

Indie well done on the wins. It must have been a shock when the radio station phoned well done on the drinks win and tour.
I have just sat down and thought it’s all quiet. DS has taken GD to the local pantomime. The two GSs didn’t want to go so they are playing quietly upstairs. DD has just phoned to say she is on her way home early.
Your Tesco’s sounds horrendous. I expect it is like that most places. The people who work there certainly earn their money. I expect there are a lot of fraught people about. As you say it’s madness. We only need some more yogurts so I’ll go around the coop soon.
I’ve just made macaroni cheese which I have not made since they were last here so not sure what it’ll be like.
Take care whatever you are doing.0 -
