Morning, suns out here and it's not really cold out. I hope they can help your sister leanfun,sometimes we do expect too much from the medical world but that's human nature.
Glad your car got sorted sheils,it's nice when you return and see familiar faces.
We gave Charlie a haircut yesterday so he sulked most of the day but think he has forgiven me now. I want to get out and cut a bush down out front that is doing it's own thing,it's next to the front door so when you go out it attacks you,lol. I had a freebie turn up in the post, i think it was from a mumsnet comp where you ticked if you wanted to try the cream and it's a full size bottle.Balneum for itchy dry skin so will give it a try.

Thanks re sister. We don’t meet up very often as she lives a very awkward journey from us and normally she works full time and neither of us drive but we do keep in touch on phone. She’s the one who would have been retired by now but for the changes. She’s had other major health problems but has such an ability to get up and go normally. She remarried a few years ago so is not by herself.

Sheils pleased car was ok. Great to see the people were redeployed but expect they now have long journeys to work. Hope dentist went well.

Indie great to have a little surprise. Hope the cream is good. We had a parcel yesterday of the runner up sauces from a mag daily I won last year. We will be able to use all but the horseradish sauce. Parcel also had a red tote bag that I had not expected. Also won 10p on the humming bird yesterday.

Did anyone else win a box of crisps in the Walkers daily Christmas comp? I've been having problems getting a parcel from Hermes this week which it would seem is only partially addressed. Every indication is that it's a prize from somewhere but Walkers is the only one I'm expecting and I'd have thought a large company like them would have been more careful with address details? Anyone else having the same issue please?

Was a lovely morning again but showery now.


Dentist went OK thanks although one of my teeth has got a bit sensitive so trying rubbing sensodine toothpaste into the bottom of it as advised by hygienist who just about made me jump out of seat when polishing it!


Luckily the garage staff didn't have to move far leanfun. The company had 2 garages fairly close and they must have managed to buy one back.


Didn't win anything from Walkers stressedofdevon. Hope you get the prize ok. Remember winning Pepsi glasses and they came with foreign names on them. Postman nearly took them back.

Morning, hard frost here today, same yesterday and took me nearly 10 minutes to scrape car before work, and i had sprayed de-icer all over. I did think it was the de-icer not working but girls at work had the same problem.Although we have had lovely sunshine in the day time. Weather forecast is the same for most of the week.I have worked the last couple of days so did a few comps before work then just checked mail after work.Too tired to do anything else as it's very busy now with nearly a full house. I have a couple of days off now so can relax and get energy back.
I hope you can get your parcel delivered stressedofdevon I never won on Walkers so can't help you.

Bit dull here but not cold. DD came for dinner and stayed last night.
She doesn't come so often now as she lives 28 miles away so was nice to catch up.

Were do i find local competitions

COLINWXM you could try putting your area or town name in the search on the main board here. If you put win and your area or town in google you might find some but you need to be careful of end date. I would suggest you look at your local papers. If you have children some sites like Primary times have regional competitions. Also look at publications to do with your county. Good luck.

Sheils it’s been a lot colder here too even though it has been very sunny for this time of year. Great you caught up with your daughter. I expect shebhas long working hours and it’s tiring.

Indie hope you are relaxing and enjoying your days off. I too had a delivery of the same cream you had. Thinking of giving it to DD1 as she has very dry hands.

Here DH has had a bad head cold but is improving. He has a big birthday coming up weekend and said he didn’t want a big do. So far DS and I didn’t catch the cold. DS Has gone back with lemsips etc just in case.

A bit of good news the new glasses have made a tremendous difference to my sister. She can walk out with a lot more confidence and is better crossing roads now she can see the end of the pavement. She also seems a lot better in herself although the news with her eye sight and macular degeneration is terrible. I think she had a virus infection that has taken weeks to go. She has an appointment at hospital soon. She’s gone back to work this week.

Hi everyone, thought I would start again on the comping trail. not been around for ages due to life getting in the way as usual. hope you are all keeping well? Can I just ask.... I tend to enter in date order i.e. todays date and onwards but as I have had to reset all my laptop and password I cant remember how to do the settings? Ascending/thread title gggrrrr its driving me mad.:mad

I will chat more as time goes on when I can get set up properly.

Evening, that was nice having your daughter stay overnight sheils. I bet she enjoyed having a meal cooked for her.
Leanfun is right Colin, i always google local area comps but double check end dates.
Hope DH cold is going leanfun, don't blame DS for taking lemsips, better to be safe than sorry.Great to hear your sister is finding the new glasses helpful.Some virus are staying a lot longer this year, for some reason.
Hi Hazel welcome back to the mad world of comping,lol. I change the desending -Assending button on the bottom of the competiton page and work from there till i find the date i want. But there may be an easier way, but i don't know it.Good luck
I have had a good few days relaxing but nearly went back to docs as cough came back.I am keeping watch and if i feel it's getting worse will return. Back to work tomorrow, hope they have a full staff on as all my phone keeps doing is beeping with texts from agency sending out staff needed at the home.
