Mummy2threeboys great to hear you are much better and have great family plans for the future. It’s wonderful when the montage is paid off. Hope you enjoy the summer with your boys.
Alfie well done to your DS and girl friend. Also to you, your Veggies made me feel hungry and sounded yummy. Well done you. I’m sure freshly grown taste so much better. As a child my stepfather had a big vegetable garden. Here there is too much pollution. I used to have a very tiny veggie patch years ago. Runner beans are my favourite veg.
Sheils enjoy Edinburgh.
Here I’ve decided to take a few weeks break from all competitions. I’ll pop in sometime to keep up with everyone’s news.
Hope everyone is able to enjoy the next heatwave on its way and it’s not too hot. Goodluck everyone.0 -
:hello: Good morning
Feeling muggy here now, apparently midweek is going to
be hot, hot, hot.I’m hoping for decent downpour
after the heat to clear the air a little.
Many thanks leanfun. Must admit, love homegrown veggies &
fruit. Runner beans are my favourite veg too!
Have a safe journey tomorrow & a lovely stay in Edinburgh
sheils.
Don’t blame you having a break from comping leanfun. I doubt
I’ll be in so much myself next week, I’ve got quite a few things
going on at the mo. Also recently joined a local neighbourhood
watch group, looks brilliant, so really looking forward to getting
to know them all.
Have a lovely Sunday all, take care.

Morning, it's a hot one here already and the day is young. I have just hung more washing out(where does it all come from, lol).Taking son to his hobby shop later and then just having a lazy day. Charlie has his cone on as he hurt his foot when out walking on monday. There is a small cut by one of his pads on front foot so have cleaned it and put antiseptic powder on hopefully it will be ok in a few days. I am going to get him some boots to wear when he goes out walking as he always seems to hurt his paws. Never known a dog like it for hurting his paws.
We did speak to the vet after his last operation on his paw and she said it would be ok to wear boots but his feet will get hot but it will only be when he is out the house.Anyway time for a shower, hope you all have a lucky day0 -
:hello: Hiya
On no, sorry to hear of Charlie’s poorly paw indie & now
having to wear the cone of shame! It is a shame, but at
the end of the day, it’s for their own good. Great idea about
him wearing doggy boots when out for walkies. :T
I’ve got everything crossed for his poorly paw, hope it’s ok
soon.
I managed to give my puddy cat her monthly dose of
Advantage drops on the nape of her neck the other day &
she completely ignored me until the following morning. Ho
hum.
It’s too hot here, absolutely stifling. We’ve received a yellow
weather warning for ‘possible’ thunderstorms tonight &
tomorrow morning, I’m secretly praying for a storm
before it gets even warmer, yikes!
Took myself off to Tesco this morning to stock up on
provisions before it got too warm. There was such a naughty
boy (& sibling) with their mum in the aisle next to where I
was paying. The boy looked about 3yrs of age & my god, he was
an absolute monster. Plus, there was definitely nothing
wrong with him medically, he was just totally out of control,
doing just as he pleased. I’d previously seen them (& heard
them) when I was doing my shopping, absolutely shocking
behaviour.
At one point he managed to climb into the trolley & then used it
to stand on the conveyor belt, _pale_ then the next moment he
scarpered up a food aisle causing havoc & laughing as he went,
followed closely by his screaming mother. My lovely till
assistant & I both looked on in horror. I couldn’t get out of the
store quick enough!
Popped round to carry on doing gardening for lovely local
guy yesterday morning when it was cooler. He’s such a sweetie,
as soon as he sees me he pops out for a little chat. I did notice
two new beautiful red geraniums in containers outside his front
door so hopefully he’s starting to pick up a little. Another local
guy also pops in to mow his back lawn, so he has quite a few
people helping him out now. :T
Also I’ve found out a lot more info re neighbourhood watch,
excellent group providing a feel good factor within the local
community.
Have a lovely afternoon & evening all, take care.

morning, know what you mean Alfie about the kids behaviour in shops. My DS's GF works in Tesco's and the horror stories she tells are scary.I understand some kids have problems but not all of them. She was telling us about a boy of 3-4 who couldn't have a toy so he kicked his mum 5 times and nothing was said. What is that all about. Anyway enough rants, lol. We had one big storm last night and it lasted over an hour. The rain was torrential as well. Shame it's not cleared the air.But going to be hotter today than yesterday, and i am working. Talking about work i had better get a move on. Hope you all have a good day.0

Morning
Another hot day here, they are expecting it to get over 30 so plenty of fluids need to be taken. I am going to nephews tonight to look after the 3 boys why he helps a friend with wedding preparations as he is getting married tomorrow and nephew is best man. I don't expect to see the boys as they will be up in their rooms playing Fortnite which seems to be the game everyone one is playing at the moment.I have one line of washing out and have another load in now.I am taking DS's GF to Dr's this morning for Astma review and son has an appoint with the Dr this afternoon. So busy day for me. Hope you all have a lucky day.0 -

:hello: Good morning
I hope you’re all coping ok, it’s already sweltering & set to be
a proper scorcher of a day!
We had storms too indie but as you say, they did nothing to
clear the air. Apparently the weekend will be slightly cooler, we
definitely need more rain now though.
Know what you mean about the dreadful behaviour of some
youngsters - absolutely beggars belief! God knows what was
going on with the boy giving his mum a good kicking just
because she said no to him, absolutely no parental control.
A similar thing happened when we were watching the naughty
kid in Tesco, mostly all were horrified apart from one woman
in the queue who actually said “oh well, it is the start of the
school holidays, bless him.” Needless to say we were all
gobsmacked by her comment & it wasn’t said with tongue in
cheek either.
Hope your DS’s gf get on well re asthma review this morning
indie & DS gets on ok at his Drs appointment this afternoon.
Have a lovely evening with the boys & hope your nephew has
a brilliant time at the wedding tomorrow.
One of my tasks today is carry on picking the courgettes,
they’re going berserk, lucky I’ve enough room in my freezer
to store store them all! Did a load of grated courgettes
yesterday, today it’s back to slicing them ....... again! It’s
a bit like Groundhog Day here at the mo!:rotfl:
Have a lovely & lucky Thursday all, take care & stay cool.

Had a lovely break in Edinburgh. Went to Botanic Gardens for the first time too which was good. Heading off again on Sunday as going to visit SIL who is still in hospital and starting chemo on Monday.
Hope your Ds and his Gfs appointments went ok indie.
Sounds like courgettes are taking over your freezer Alfie. Don't think I have had a courgette for a long time although I do like them.
Hope everyone coping with the heat. Looks like it will be a lot cooler here tomorrow.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

:hello: Hiya
It’s part sun, part light cloud here today, still warm.
Tomorrow’s looking a little more promising though with
a mention of rain. :j Having said that though, the forecast
seems to change every minute, got everything crossed for
a bit of wet stuff. It looks as if parts of Hampshire will be
having a hosepipe ban starting next month due to drought
conditions.
Will be thinking of you all Sunday/Monday sheils. Stay strong. :A
I’ve just popped the following article in the LOL cats thread - I
love a happy ending....
