Afternoon, it's funny weather here today, been expecting rain as one minute it's cloudy and dark the next the sun is out but no rain as yet. I have my washing out and dried earlier and did a little gardening just catching up with some comps now. Hope your all having a good day.

    Good Morning,

Looks like it is going to be another beautiful day.
Had a night out with DD, her bf and his father and partner and both DH and I are feeling a bit worse for wear! Haven't been out drinking in a pub for years, enjoyed it and had a laugh though.
I was right about DS3 and the festival though his friend and him have both been robbed of money, phones and his friend of bank card. Have had to transfer money into his bank account so hope he gets back safely. Sounds like organised gangs at the festival. They are targeting passports too. DS3 had to fight off someone trying to steal his but lots of people had theirs stolen. Hopefully he won't want to go to foreign festivals again.
Could do with some good news now. I win would be nice!
Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    :hello: Good morning

Happy St Swithins Day all! :)

    https://www.britannica.com/topic/Saint-Swithins-Day

Yep sheils, still out walking every morning as well as
gardening etc. Always love to keep myself busy! :D It’s yet
another beautiful sunny start to the day here although
    desperate for rain now.

The New Forest National Park Authority have now posted
important updates from Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service
including not using disposable BBQ’s and making sure
cigarettes are put out and disposed of properly etc. Sadly
there are still some people who appear to lack common
    sense!

Son has spent a wonderful weekend in France staying with
his girlfriend’s family. It was even warmer there than it is here
but thankfully they had a swimming pool to cool off in. He was
spoiled rotten including being served up scrumptious home
cooked meals & was off for his daily visit to gym earlier this
morning, (en route to work) to have a swift workout! :rotfl::rotfl:

Forgot to mention, the new James Bond film crew have been
spotted at various locations around London & on Friday son
saw them filming near to where he works but sadly, no sign
    of Daniel Craig. :D

So sorry to hear about DS3’s dreadful experience at the festival
sheils. It’s enough to put him off attending another one
for the rest of his life! Hopefully the criminals were reported to
    the festival organisers, police etc.

Thankfully my son’s attended fab music festivals abroad (one
just last year) & has always thoroughly enjoyed them with no
mishaps. Hope DS3 has a safe journey home. xx

Well, must get on. Lovely window cleaner is due today. A few
months back he was in his van waiting for traffic to start moving
& boy racer smashed into the back of him. His van was a
write-off, as was boy racers car. Police were involved, thankfully
window cleaner now has brand new replacement van & feels
well enough to start working again (after hospital stay).

Have a lovely & lucky day all, take care.

Morning, sunny and warm here today.I was at work yesterday and there was a nice breeze blowing whenever i had my break and came outside. No breeze today. Sorry to hear your son and friend were robbed at the festival, hope they get home ok.
Lets hope people pay heed to the warnings Alfie and are extra careful when having a barbie and putting ciggies out. I am off to Drs with son this morning for his monthly appointment, we are chasing up a report about his last stool speciman he did as we have heard from the crones consultant with an appointment but they have no record of this speciman as the Dr in that dept said he thought it was a gut infection and not crones and as there are 2 different hospitals involved they don't seem to have communicated together.Hopefully the Dr can put more light on it.We will see. Anyway going to hang washing out now and have a food shop to do later. Hope you all have a lucky day.

    Good Morning,

We are supposed to get rain today and some forecast for the next few days.
At least we have the grass cut and the washing up to date.
DS3 got into Glasgow last night. Seems to have had a great time apart from getting stuff stolen. Think he was pretty relieved to get back though. First time he has been abroad without us and last time was 7yrs ago. He was even worried about flying. Hopefully he picks somewhere a bit safer next time. At least he wasn't at another Croatia festival where everyone was evacuated because of forest fires!

Hope you get everything sorted out with your DS indie. He is so young to be having these health problems and must be such a worry.

Glad you have your window cleaner back Alfie. Doing them yourself is a pain!

    Wishing everyone a lucky week.

Morning. Our DS went into Glasgow airport last night too Sheils. We always seem to end up booking their flights last minute and so it was either early morning or late at night due to cost. So pleased your DS3 is home and enjoyed the festival despite the robbery. Such a shame that happened on his first solo trip abroad. I didn’t know about the fires there but saw there have been fires in Southern France.

It was great seeing the GKs but it was just so hot even yesterday was too hot to go out in the garden. DS did take them up to London once last week but it must have been nearer 30 degrees and he said it was packed out. So a bit disappointing from what we were able to do with them but they seemed happy enough and enjoyed seeing their cousin.

GD and I looked at weather forecast for here for next week hot, hot, hot no rain. Where they live 19 degrees or less and rain, rain, rain. Shame as there’s lots they can do there.

Indie hope your GP was able to sort out the test results for your DS. It’s so difficult when you feel ill and they can’t find out what is wrong.

Yesterday I’ve had an email I’ve won a book from The Sun web comps. I also had a WEM to say I’ve won a Child’s Farm Sun and Swim bundle this is from Mother and Baby Click to wins. Since Christmas I only do the ones with one entry each day and this is the second win.

    Take care everyone. Be lucky.

Morning, glad your son got back ok sheils. I have all my washing up to date but grass needs cutting. Hips playing up today so it won't get done today.
Well done on the wins leanfun,i expect your GK's had a great time with the weather being nice down here. Now you can have a rest and recharge for the next time, lol.
DS's Dr had the results he was waiting for and all is normal with the sample. She has told him to take the meds the consultant has put him on (although he hasn't seen her yet) she sent a perscription through post and we are waiting for it to be made up but the chemist had to order it in. I think the Dr put his mind at rest as he has a lot of pain in top half of body and his weight has dropped a lot but she said the meds should sort it out.Let's hope so as before this he never had any illness other than childhood ones. So is finding it hard to cope with.Let's hope the meds come in today. Anyway i have nothing planned today other than a tip run. Hope you all have a good day.

:hello: Hi & Happy World Emoji Day!

As you all know, I really love my emojis! :j

    https://metro.co.uk/2019/07/17/im-one-of-the-many-volunteers-creating-the-emoji-you-use-everyday-10350930/

Still no sign of rain arriving anytime soon down my way. Sun
keeps playing ‘peekaboo’ soleilnuage.gif and it still remains very dry
    & humid.

I’ve been a fairly busy bee this morning, out walking first
thing, then drove to store to stock up on provisions. Stopped
off at local garage to top up air in tyres & also petrol. I couldn’t
help but notice the guy behind me :blushing: (in a very posh sports car)
waiting to use the air pump (as I did my normal faffing about :o).
    :rotfl:

He approached me when I’d finished at the petrol pumps (he was
very well mannered too) only for him to ask me for help in reading
his tyre pressure readings for that particular model  :rotfl:
which were so tiny I could only just about make them out (he’d
left his reading glasses at home). Darn it, another one escapes my
clutches! :rotfl::rotfl: He was very appreciative though. :D

Once back home I gave the front lawn a quick tidy up & also
tidied up a few shrubs etc so it’s looking fairly decent out there
    at the mo.

So pleased you had a lovely time with GKs leanfun, despite the
heat. Very well done on your latest wins, absolutely brilliant
    prizes! :T :j

Thank goodness DS3 arrived safely at Glasgow Airport yesterday
sheils, great relief all round! Dreadful to hear of yet another
forest fire. We’re still getting warnings here, the forest is so dry! _pale_

So happy re DS indie - hopefully his health will slowly show signs
of improvement once he’s started the medication. I’ve got every-
thing crossed for him, you’ll both be so relieved - it’s been such
a worrying time for all. Also hope your hips are feeling a little
    more comfortable now.

Have a lovely afternoon and evening all, take care.

Indie good news that your son’s results had nothing wrong but still baffling what exactly is wrong. Do hope the medicine comes in quickly and it helps your son.

Here was much cooler yesterday and this morning. Should be able to do some house work today.

Ho Alfie your encounter had the petrol station made me smile. Who knows who you might meet. I have a very, very glamourus friend whose husband died three years ago. She’s the one I spent a week with in Madeira last year for the flower festival. She’s tall too and wears wonderful clothes. She’s not interested in finding someone else although she’s had a lot of offers. A few months ago she was visiting her mother and while out shopping thought she would have a coffee in Debenhams. It was very busy in there and a gentleman asked to sit at her table. Well they got talking......he asked her out. I said to her who wouldn’t! Now waiting to hear what happens but I don’t want her to be hurt.

DS has just arrived home. He didn’t want to fly back from Glasgow so came on the night train. Just been telling us he took a slow train from Glasgow to catch the train from Edinburgh. He doesn’t like flying as he usually catches something on the plane with his low immune system.

Well better do something here while it’s cool.

Take care everyone and be lucky

    Good afternoon :hello:

Got fairly excited earlier this morning, rain was mentioned in
the local weather forecast. pluie07.gif In the end it was just a
light shower for 20mins or so & was no good to man or beast.
The garden, forest etc are still bone dry. I can feel a rain dance
    coming on :D ......

    il-pleut.gif

Had another army of flying ants taking off on Saturday.
Couldn’t get out to water the plants until they’d all flown away,
hopefully that’s them done for another year. It’s such a shame
though because so many don’t make it. Quite a few got caught up
in spider webs and then others - who managed to fly quite a way,
ended up being picked off in the sky by hungry birdies!

I wonder what date news your friend will have leanfun! :smileyhea

If the truth be known, I’m very happy with my lot & would most
probably run a mile if I was actually asked out on a date!
    :rotfl::rotfl:

On that note I’ll bid you all farewell, :p have a lovely afternoon
    and evening, take care.
