Afternoon all :hello:
It’s another warm one today, just come back in for a
breather, cuppa & comp catch up!
Interesting footie game yesterday. Still pondering
about the ‘tea sipping with little pinky sticking out’
incident. :undecided
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/womens_football/england-vs-usa-alex-morgan-celebration-tea-drink-womens-world-cup-a8985406.html
Brilliant news though of how many people watched the
match - a staggering 11.7m! :j Women’s footie is finally
gathering momentum! :T
Having said that, I’m not a great lover of the game & only
tend to show interest if it’s World Cup related.:rotfl::rotfl:
Have a lovely afternoon & evening all, take care.

Morning, i am the same as you regarding footie Alfie. Only watch the world cup matches that England play.
I have had an interesting 2 days. Nephew phoned tuesday afternoon, would i go and get boys from school as he had been in a car crash. He wasn't hurt but his car was. There was a 6 car shunt. He stopped and touched the car in fronts bumper but the car behind him hit him and pushed him forward and the next car did the same.Lucily no one was hurt and 3 cars were able to drive away. His insurance has written his car off and offered him a settlement sum. Never heard of it being whithin 1 day but the car in front had the same insurance company so maybe that was why they could do it.He has a courtesy car till he recieves the money so at least he has wheels. I worked yesterday and came home to a win that the email was sent in June but somehow i missed it and they have given me till 8 th of this month to claim it so i replied last night with my details. So glad i haven't lost it as it's
a Plantui Smart Garden. and worth £265. Anyway i have a couple of days off now so time to catch up with everything. We have another lovely day here. Hope you all have a lucky day0 -
Wow Indie your day was eventful. So pleased to hear your nephew was not hurt but he did not need the shock of an accident and the hassle of finding a new car. Great the insurance has given him a courtesy car in the meantime.
Indie well done on your win great they contacted you again. The Plantui Smart Gardens look amazing from another time zone. Love it when a win is something you like but wouldn’t buy for yourself.
Re football. Our family except DD2 and I are football crazy. When he can our DS goes to their club’s Women’s matches and they have players in a number of the National teams. So it’s football, football here but then also tennis, cricket and golf. Thankfully I have comps.
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
Thanks, i wouldn't have brought it myself but loved the read up. That's what i love about comping you can win things like that.0

Good morning :hello:
What an eventful couple of days you’ve had indie! Very
thankful that your nephew wasn’t injured & that his
insurance company were so quick to respond. :T
Huge congrats on your excellent win, :T thank goodness
they got in touch with you again, it looks brilliant. :j
I’m just doing a quick comp catch up then it’s off to the
garden I go.
It’s another beautiful day here, not a cloud in the sky -
pleasant temperature out too.
Have a lovely & lucky day all, take care.

:hello: Good morning
Hope you’re all ok.It ended up a bit of a scorcher
yesterday & apparently today it’s going to be much
warmer! May have to do a rain dance soon!
Has anyone else seen any flying ants yet?
I’ve a huge ants nest under the patio, (one of many).
It seems yesterday was one of the chosen days for the
flying ants to start emerging. Had to leg it indoors,
can’t abide them, they seem to get everywhere. I expect
there’ll be more today, yikes! _pale_

^^^ Just Googled & found this info (should read 2019 in
link). It seems that the blighters are good for the
environment so I’ll leave them be to do their own thing.
Have a lovely & lucky day all, take care.

Morning, not seen any flying ants yet. My son hates them so sure i would have heard him if he had seen any.lol.Nephew popped round yesterday and his courtesy car is lovely but i can't see over the roof, in fact the top of the door is the same height as me,lol. So it would be no good me getting a car like that.I have nothing planned for today but sure something will turn up later. Hope you all have a lucky day0

No to flying ants too. Indie hope you have a restful day.
Sheils hope you are enjoying your break.
Looks like the sunshine is continuing for some time Alfie. Meeting up with my brother today for lunch.
Take care all and good luck.0 -
Morning hot, hot hot here last night and this morning. We went down to DSs yesterday and it was much cooler on the Kent coast. My brother cancelled lunch he wasn’t feeling too good.
Just started a shopping order for next week for the GKs coming. They are vegetarian and love corn sausages. Will have to see if they are eating a more varied diet now they are a bit older. Trouble is they don’t like the same thing. Will make macaroni cheese for them.
With the hummingbird I have found lots of everyone but still only won 10p and 20p but there are the PDE. Did see last night they had extra £3 cash back yesterday and I’ve ordered a top, I’ve been wanting, in a sale and just looked they have £4.20 pending so that’s thanks to looking for the bird.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.0 -
:hello: Good morning
Phew, exactly the same here leanfun, sunny & very
warm.
Well done on finding & using hummingbird cash back
buy. :T I’ve still only won 10p & 20p but frustratingly I’m
one ‘sun‘ away from winning £20! With my track record of
winning absolutely zilch at the mo, somehow I can’t really
see me finding the elusive ‘sun’ anytime soon!:rotfl::rotfl:
Lol indie re the size of nephew’s courtesy car. I often feel
as if I’m living in the land of the giants with the size of
cars nowadays, they make mine look so tiny!
Have a lovely weekend all, take care.
