Good Morning,
The rain held off until night time yesterday so got all our washing dry.
Been a really wet night but we were needing it. Have tried to send you some Alfie and it is stopping here! Supposed to be nice later.
We have had bad news about DH's sister who was rushed into hospital and has been diagnosed with breast cancer. It doesn't sound good but have to stay positive. There always seems to be something.
Anyway, DD coming for dinner tonight (her partner on nights so can't come). I am going to make a steak pie and I have stacks of ironing so will be busy.
Wishing everyone a lucky week.

Morning, welcome back sheils. Glad you had a good time.I know Saltburn as ex's parents lived there and we use to visit a couple of times a year. Sorry to hear about your SIL, as you say you all have to stay positive
Glad you timed picking the GK's up just right leanfun. Hope they have calmed down a little for you.
Hope the little birdie stays safe from the moggy Alfie,i hated it when my cat brought birds in but they are hunters so you can't really stop them.
It's cooler here today and sun has just come out so will do some washing soon. Hope you all have a good day.0 -
Morning. Sheils sorry to hear about your DH’s sister. It’s a very worrying time for the family. Thinking back there have been a number of people we have known who have been treated and lived for years after diagnosis. Great you are being positive. Keep busy. Enjoy your meal with your DD.
Sheils so pleased to hear you had a wonderful time on your recent Forest Holiday. I was going in for one of their competitions recently and was wondering how you had found it. Great win well done.
Well we had a very busy day here yesterday. Snack lunch in our local park. GKs loved being the only ones in play area. There are some busy areas and they found trees to climb. Picked up other GS from school but had to wait ages in the heat as they had dress rehearsal for their play Mary Poppins which we are going to tonight. They had a short time in GSs local park playing football then dinner at a Bella Italia with Kids eat for £1.
Quieter day today. Still very hot here.0 -
Good afternoon :hello:
So sorry to hear the news re your SIL sheils. Stay positive.
I went through the same thing with one of my DH’s sisters. She
managed to beat breast cancer twice (approx 15 years ago) &
thankfully lives a happy & healthy life, cancer free! :T
Still feeling very warm here, it’s quite dusty out now, could
really do with rain to dampen everything down. Also forest is
starting to look dry too.
Drove over to refuse centre earlier this morning & managed to
dispose of quite a few bits & bobs for recycling, Thursday is
definitely the best day to go, barely anyone there!
Lol indie, think little birdie is still ok although had to rush out
to the garden just now because all the birds had started to
chirp really loudly to warn others. Right enough, same moggy
was skulking around looking for its next victim! As soon as I
was spotted he/she legged it away.
My cat’s brother (resides with daughter & co) is most definitely
a hunter. Often bring back (& hides) little gruesome gifts to show
how much he loves them all! Couldn’t possibly repeat what
my daughter shouted out when she put her boots on one morning
and discovered one such pressie left by their adoring tom cat!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Another time a dead mouse had been left in
the hood of her jacket! The list is never ending! When he’s not out
hunting though, he’s just a big softie - such a friendly soul with
the loudest of purrs.
Have a lovely time this evening watching GS in Mary Poppins
leanfun. Well done re bargain Italian meal yesterday for GKs, very
MSE.:money:
Have a lovely afternoon & evening all, take care.

Good afternoon :hello:
Same here indie, had a weeny bit of rain very early this
morning - hardly touched the ground. Now we have a mix
of light cloud & sunshineand it’s really humid.
Went out yesterday evening to do the usual watering & my
little birdie friend flew down to greet me. Such a pretty little
youngster (female blackbird) but I can’t stop worrying about
her wellbeing. I’m such a mother hen! :rotfl::rotfl: I breathed
a huge sigh of relief when she finally flew up to one of the
trees, well away from skulking moggy!
Lol indie - I’d really love another dog but not sure my cat
would appreciate a new canine pal invading her domain!
:rotfl::rotfl:
I need to have a very long think about it ...... decisions,
decisions.
Have a lovely Friday all, take care.

Afternoon. We had a lovely evening at GS’s school play but was it hot in there. Fortunately DH opted out because of heat.
GKs here slept in this morning and having a quiet day today. After yesterday . Our DS took them up to St Paul’s yesterday and Tate Midern. I think it was sweltering up ther went up to 28 degrees here. It’s so muggy here today too but we have had no rain.sun out again now.
Turns out DS left his passport back at house near Dover. He needs photo ID to take the children on plane back on Tuesday and doesn’t have a driver’s license. DH decided to drive down there this afternoon. You’ve never seen the pair of them move so quickly. They went about 1.30 to avoid the traffic.
It’s too hot now but I’ll take the children to the park later. We do have a shady spot in garden thanks to overgrown bushes. Love having breakfast out there.
Just had a parcel delivery. My bargain buys of the year from character warehouse sale 14 children’s items of clothing for £25.35. Their PJs are ok for the summer.
Better go can hear a lot of noise upstairs now.
Have a good weekend everyone.0 -
:hello: Good morning
Hope you’re all ok.it’s going to be another very warm
day here, sun’s shining away.
Pleased you had a lovely evening at the school musical
leanfun, despite the heat. Hope DS managed to collect his
passport ok.

Been nice and sunny here but only about 20 which is fine for us trying to garden. We did have a really wet night not long ago so the garden isn't too dry.
Glad the school play went well leanfun. Bet you had something to say about your son forgetting his passport! (I would)
Shame about your course indie. You just want to get these things over with.
Are you still managing your walks as well as all the gardening Alfie?
DS3 is in Croatia with a friend for a music festival which is quite worrying as he has never been abroad without us before and he isn't the most sensible of people. Still they got there, even managing to change planes in Amsterdam so fingers crossed. He was worrying about flying even though he has flown a few times a year since he was 1yr old he hasn't for 5 years.
Just saw on TV they have started filming the Gavin & Stacy Xmas special so we went to Barry Island at the wrong time! We actually bought the boxset after we had visited there and really loved it so looking forward to the Xmas Special.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Glad your son arrived in Croatia ok sheils.I am sure he will have a great time at the festival with friends. I am not up to much today, just pottering around in the garden and may do some housework. Hope you all have a good weekend.0
