Good morning :hello:
Welcome back sheils, it sounds as if you had a wonderful
time in Cornwall & Somerset. If it’s wet up your way, please
send any spare down South, everything is parched here!
I agree leanfun, today was meant to be cooler but to be
honest, I haven’t really noticed any difference. Light cloud
at the moment, sunshine expected in the next couple of
hours.
Yesterday it became warmer as the day progressed, too hot
to get on with anything really. Managed to get out later in
the evening to give the tubs, veggies etc a good drenching.
Earlier this morning I heard frantic flapping of wings &
rushed out to the garden to see a local cat tussling with
yet another pigeon who just happened to be feasting on
the seed spillage from the feeders.
The cat scarpered & the pigeon flew off, leaving loads of
feathers on the lawn. I reckon it was a lucky escape for the
pigeon but doubt the cat was very happy! The trouble is I
have a lot of greenery growing around the feeders & the
cat lurks & then pounces on unsuspecting birds. It’s the
second time I’ve had to clear up all the feathers although
I’m thankful there were no bodies to deal with!
Well, must be time for a cuppa me thinks.Have a lovely
Sunday all, take care.

Sounds like everyone is getting too much heat!
Our rain never really came to anything so flowers are still thirsty. Will have to try and water them later as we are away to Yorkshire on Monday
to the Forest Lodge break and then on to some Premier Inns which I had booked earlier and then added one to join them together with the lodge break. Will be having our 24th Wedding Anniversary while away.
Only problem with Forest Lodge is that there is no phone signal and Wifi is only sold as part of a package with an expensive Sky deal so won't be paying for that! Probably won't be around until Friday when we will be in a Premier Inn. Nearly all packed and organised with all the jobs done apart from a few T-shirts and shorts to iron.
Hope everyone copes with the heat and good luck with the comps.

Morning, wow what a scorcher this weekend was. The home i worked in on saturday had no air conditioning so i was dripping with sweat by the time i got home.At least the home i went to yesterday had air conditioning but we were 2 staff short as they phoned in sick. I was so tired when i got in i was in bed by 9 and asleep before my head hit the pillow, lol.I won't be working 2 days over the weekend again. It's warm here again but a breathable heat. I have done 2 loads of washing and have the doors and windows open with a nice breeze blowing in.Taking DS to his hospital appointment and his GF to her hospital appointment this afternoon, they are in different hospitals and half hour apart but if i time it right it should be ok.
Have a good trip sheils, and Happy anniversary whilst your away.0 -
Hope you have a good journey Sheils and Happy Anniversary.
Indie I did think of you Saturday what an exhausting weekend. Do so hope the hospital are able to diagnose the problem and help your DS. Hope his GF has a good outcome too. Sounds as though you are going to be really busy hope there’s not too much traffic for you.
More pleasant here today nit so hot. We are picking GS up from childminders today.
Yes, Alfie the beginning of another month.

Very warm again here this morning.
DD2 had worries yesterday with little one being sick. She’s four and could not keep anything down including water. Day before she had decided to clean a clean floor with dettol wipes! Also she had been out in the garden. Pleased to say see’s eaten this morning and apart from being weak is ok.
Well I’m on a roll. Yesterday I won 10p on the hummingbird. Then I heard I’d won some children’s dishes and food over on Instagram. This morning I won 20p on the bird. I’ve just opened a WEM from here

This last will be great for a present. I was trying to win something else from this magazine but entered this too.
So I’m feeling very lucky. Hope there are more wins in the Inn.0 -
Morning, well done on the wins. My son won the same comp on Cosmopolitan, lol. He is putting it away for his GF. Glad to hear the little one is eating again, hopefully it was just a 24 hour bug.
My DS hospital visit has left us more confused than ever. There was 3 people in the room, a nurse the person doing the scan and a Dr. The Dr looked at the scan and asked what crones med he was on and he said none. Then we were asked if we have seen the consultant, well we haven't so he said ring the hospital and find out when the appointment was.He did say it was difficult to detect crones and if he had it it was on the lower spectrum. We did ring this morning and was told no appointment was in the offing yet. They are waiting for the stool test to come back and that should give more information as they think it could be an infection and not crones. So as you can see we are none the wiser this end.Never mind we will get there in the end.
It's a little cooler here today,so i may get out in garden later. Hope everyone has a lucky day0 -
:hello: Good morning
Hope you’re all ok.It’s another warm & sunny day
here. Not so humid through the night though
which was a huge plus!
What lovely wins leanfun! Well done! :T :jThink I’ve
won the same on the hummingbird.
So pleased your GD is feeling a little better today. It’s
such a worry when they’re poorly.
Very well done to your DS too indie, fab win - his gf will
be over the moon! :T :j
Sorry to hear that you didn’t come away any the wiser
after son’s hospital appointment yesterday. As you say
though, you’ll get there eventually.
Went for my walk really early this morning, while it was
still fairly cool then drove to local supermarket to get
provisions in. Also just dragged four very full garden
bags outside, ready for collection early tomorrow morning.
Now enjoying a cup of caffeinebefore I crack on
with my never ending ‘to do’ list.
Have a lovely & lucky Tuesday all, take care.

Indie snap with your son. Well done to him make a great present for his girl friend. Mine might go to my sister or my brother’s daughter. I was trying for the Kitchen Aid or a lawn mower and as I was doing those comps did a few more hence winning this one.
Sorry to hear about your DS and the hospital. One of my friend’s sons had similar experience when he tried to start uni. It took ages for them to say it was crones. I just hope it’s not too severe for your son.
Still very warm. Hope everyone has a good evening. Here just want England to win tonight.0 -
Phew, it’s warm here too leanfun. The sun’s still shining
away!Good luck ladies!
