Morning. What a change in the weather. Last night it was 25 upstairs in the Hall difficult to go to sleep. Then woke up at 5.45 cold! It’s been raining here.
Having another lazy day today before the GKs come.
Happy Sunday everyone. Whatever you are doing.0 -
:hello: Good morning
We haven’t had any rain here although it does feel lovely
& cool (for a change), perfect for cracking on with the
gardening! Unable to much of anything outside yesterday
as it was far too hot.
Have a lovely time next week with GKs leanfun.
My family are due down here end of July. We’re off to the
New Forest Show for the day, also visiting Monkey World,
Dorset to meet cute Marmoset adopted by son’s gf.
Wonderful organisation. :A

Daughter, son in law & granddaughters are then going
abroad the following week & I’m looking after their dogs &
puddy cat. So, I’ll have a bit of company on my forest walks.
Really looking forward to it!
Have a lovely Sunday all, take care.

Just wrote then lost it. I’ve lost the plot today brain not in gear. Blame the heat. It’s humid again today. Sun in and out here.
Thanks for the link Alfie. Very interesting.
Indie hope you are working with air con.
Nearly ready for tomorrow and GKs. Have ordered online shopping for tonight. Yes, Alfie it will be great to see them. GS is 10 and GD 7 now.
Goodluck everyone.0 -
It’s sweltering here too leanfun.
I managed to give the lawns a light cut, plus a bit of
pruning, weeding etc this morning, when it felt fresher.
So pleased I did - went back out after a spot of lunch by
which time it was too warm to do much of anything! In
the end I found a shady spot & relaxed for a while
watching the birdies etc.
You’re most welcome re the bee link.
Have a wonderful week with GKs.

Morning, yes we had air-con at work so not too bad, it's just when we shower residents we come out wetter than them with sweat, lol.
It's humid here today and cloudy but sun is trying to come out.Hope you have a good week with the GK's leanfun.I have a few bits to pick up at shop later but not doing a lot other than that. I have washing out on line so caught up with a few jobs.
Hope you all have a lucky day.0 -
Morning. It’s already hot and muggy again here. DS and I met GKs at Gatwick yesterday. Fortunately their plane was early as ex DIL had a short time to get from South Terminal to North for her plane back but she made it in time and that plane was late.
Well they are both full on all the time. I don’t know how I managed three with four years between them and all as active. But they were pleased to see us.
I made them macaroni cheese which they really enjoyed. Last night there were lots of hugs from both of them before they went to bed. They are already up I went downstairs and peeped round the door and they are lying on sofa watching TV.
We are picking GS up from school today so will go out before then.
Indie pleased you have air con. Never thought about the hazards of the showers that you would be showered too. Lo.
Hope everyone has a good day. Be lucky.0 -
Good Morning all,
Had alovely break with really good weather. Didn't see any rain until yesterday morning when coming home. The Forest Lodge win was wonderful and DH so enjoyed the hot tub. We were in morning and evening. Hope I can make it third time lucky another time! Spent lots of time by the coast (Whitby, Scarborough, Saltburn, Seaton Sluice and Tynemouth) plus some NT & EH properties.
Back home for a little while now. Got dentist this morning though.
Been keeping up with everyones news.
Leanfun enjoy having your GKs.
Must get on as so much to do. Two loads washing out and another one on.

Good afternoon :hello:
Welcome back sheils. Sounds as if you both had a wonderful
time away. Can you send any spare rain down my way
pretty please, land’s as dry as a bone, we desperately need a
decent downpour, preferably through the night!Hope
dental appointment went well.
It’s still warm and muggy here. However, spent a very
productive morning helping out local guy with his garden. He
has loads of unruly ivy which has started to take over, so
thoroughly enjoyed untangling it from plants & starting to dig
it out.
It was an added bonus that I ended up mostly working amongst
trees (behind shrubbery) so benefitted from the shade.
Meanwhile back at mine, a little birdie seems to have adopted
me (local moggy killed the parent bird, I found the body
Monday). Carefully wrapped it up & put it into the dustbin,
turned round and little birdie was watching my every move.
She’s so tame & keeps following me around but thankfully she’s
able to fly now & hopefully feed herself, now she’s on her own.
Don’t want her to become another sitting target for local moggy!
Also yesterday, I’d been watching a little sparrow drinking from
the bird bath & blow me - the moggy appeared out of nowhere &
lunged at the bird, which thankfully managed to make a swift
getaway, minus just a couple of feathers.
Thank goodness my puddy cat shows no interest in venturing
outside!
Excellent timing picking up GKs from airport yesterday leanfun.
Have a brilliant time with them today, GS will be thrilled to see
them!
Have a lovely afternoon/evening all, take care.
