    Evening
Hi spearce80, i saw you had your question answered. Good luck with comping again
It's been a wet day here with heavy showers which seemed to wait till i went out then down they came, lol. It should be a sunny day here tomorrow so i will be able to get washing out and tidy garden up after the winds we had over the weekend.Work was hectic but it always is over the weekends, amazing how many staff fall ill so can't come in.
Hope you all had a good weekend.

Oh sorry thought ff had answered your question. I do mine by going to bottom of competition page and change 2nd box (sort order) from decreasing to Asending then scroll through to what days i want. That's how i always do it as i can check if any new ones have come up for that day. Good luck with winning for your girls.

Morning hope everyone is well and well done for any wins. I’ll try to read back later and catch up with everyone.

Thought I would pop in missing the chat and entering competitions. Over the last weeks I’ve won a couple of CDs and some tickets for an exhibition at Tate Modern.

Yesterday DD2 arrived with her two so it’s busy here again. Still great to see them and they were excited to see us. DD2 is giving them breakfast now. DS is also here for a few days too.

Will have a look at a few comps on here. Good luck everyone.

    :hello: Good morning all

Well, yet another rainy day here although yesterday was
really nice - dry & not a drop of rain. I know I was desperate
for rain but didn’t need quite so much!

Monday was horrendous, never seen so much rain before.
The roads were flooded, poor drains couldn’t cope.

Horrendous storm few days ago, kept me awake for most
of the night. Gales were really scary, I was dreading
seeing if there was any damage but amazingly everything
was still more or less in place. Just a couple of smaller
branches were down but thankfully roof tiles etc were still
intact & my ancient rickety wooden gates survived (yet
    again!).

Had a brilliant time with family. We thoroughly enjoyed the
New Forest Show, spent hours there, also took the two
dogs in with us, it was like doggie heaven for them, so many
four legged furry friends to greet and sniff. :p :rotfl::rotfl:

Also had a fab time at Monkey World, son & girlfriend drove
to mine then we all piled into SILs wagon & set off with
enough picnic food to feed an army! Had a slight mishap
with a block of cheese though while making up sarnies -
I turned my back for a split second & greedy lab saw his
chance & grabbed the whole block of cheese & managed to
scoff off quite a bit too. :naughty:  Typical lab! :p

So very sorry to hear about your SIL passing away sheils.
You’re all in my thoughts & prayers. :A

Also sorry to hear that DD & boyfriend have gone their
separate ways. Hopefully DD will be hearing about her new
job soon, got everything crossed for her. Well deserved
after all her hard work. :T

Things have certainly moved forward indie in the medical
profession. I’ve never heard of a pill with a camera - sounds
brilliant! Hopefully they’ll be able to finally pinpoint where the
    problem is to help DS.

Well done with your wins leanfun, great prizes! :T :j Sounds
as if you’re having a busy time with lovely family! Enjoy. :grinheart

I’ve got lots to catch up with so best get on. Needless to say
no wins for me! I like to stay consistent. :D :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a lovely day all & good luck with comping. Take care. x

    Morning all,

Sounds like everyone is having a busy time.

Well done on the wins leanfun - glad someone is winning!

Been busy here too. DS1 has just headed off for a couple of nights staying with DS3. He is getting a new suit and shirts at Edinburgh (much cheaper than Sydney) and going to an Aberdeen football match after that. He is returning Saturday until Tuesday when he is going to DS2's house for couple of nights and then flying back. We have the funeral on Tuesday but too far for everyone to go. We are staying 2 nights in area. It is Dhs birthday on the Friday so have treated him to a night in Chester on the Wednesday night.

DD still staying here and waiting on her start date but has organised a flat for next week - sharing with her friend.

Will be nice to get back to normal!

Morning. Sheils so sorry to hear about your SIL. Pleased you have managed to book two nights when you go to the funeral and will be good for you to break your journey in Chester. Your DH will be able to meet up with family for a bit longer at this sad time. So pleased you were able to see SIL on your recent trip. It’s so hard when someone close dies and they are still relatively young. Been thinking of you all and saying a prayer for you all.

Sounds the right thing for your DD as Indie said they gave it another go much better to split now rather than latter. Pleased she has found someone to share a flat with. Hope her job comes through soon and it does not involve too long a commute. I expect she will have been pleased to see her big brother. You have lots happening all at once.

Indie it’s great they are doing further investigations into your DSs illness. All the time they are coming up with new things. Never heard of a tablet with camera before. I had read that Irritable Bowel Syndrome was an umbrella term for many different things so maybe now they are able to identify more. Do so hope they are able to find a diagnosis and treatment for your son.

Indie did the magazine cosmetic win turn up?

Here I woke up early but managed to sleep again. It’s still all quiet. We had a rough day yesterday with all the rain. When it cleared up at one point we got ready to go out for it only to pour again. It was nearly eleven last night before they went to sleep.

Alfie do hope you are not deluged with rain. I did see somewhere that this might be the wettest August. Read there was a problem with cauliflowers and the weather and prices would go up. Still I managed to buy the last cauliflower for £1 in our local coop.
Alfie sounds as though you had a great time with family visit and looking after their pets while they were away.

Take care and good luck everyone.

Morning, been working the last 2 days. First day was great yesterday was horrible and it wasn't the residents but staff that couldn't organise a pee up in a brewery.I am working tomorrow and hope i am with different people or i may not be able to keep quiet, lol. Glad to hear you all had good times with your familys shame the weather couldn't be better but this is the UK and we never know what to expect from one day to another. I think it will be lovely in September when the kids go back to school here. It usually changes then if we have had a bad August.DS got a letter from the hospital it's not a pill he is having but the tube down the throat, that's next month so we may know some more then. How he got it muddled up i don't know, lol. I have had 2 wins this week,£30 amazon voucher from a Love Island game and an instant prize yesterday form the Vileda come, A mop. I hope everyone has a lucky end to the week.

Dry dull here today. Certainly is the usual UK August weather Indie.
Well done on your wins. So sorry to hear about your work yesterday. It can be so upsetting when everything is so disorganised with staff. I’m sure your staff can be hard enough with the residents let alone the staff. Hope tomorrow is much better.

Yesterday DD2 and I plus 2 GKs made it to the London Transport Museum. It’s at Covent Garden in the old flower market. They enjoyed it and fortunately it was only a short walk from the station. Today they have not made it out yet.

    Been think of you Sheils.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and good luck.

    Afternoon,

Had a dreadful wet night and morning here but the afternoon has been lovely and sunny. Got load of towels on the wash line now.

Well done on the wins indie. The comping fairy has totally forgotten about me!

The transport museum sounds good leanfun. I'm sure DH would like that.
We have never been to London together. DH mainly went for trade union meetings long before we got together and I was only down as one of my sisters lived near Ashford. Maybe we will go one day.
