Morning, yes DS got an appointment and I got him to write down everything that had been going on for the last 2 weeks since he last saw her. She read it, took his stats and said everything was ok but she was worried about him nearly falling over that she thinks it's heart/blood pressure related so is sending him to a specialist. Just got to wait for letter to come now. He has felt a little better since seeing her and hopefully things will get sorted now.
It was frosty here this morning but sun is out now,so all frost gone. Just getting ready to pop to shops then got some house work to do. Hope you all have a lucky day.0 -
Indie pleased your DS was able to see doctor. Hope specialist appointment comes soon. It’s horrible when you feel ill and don’t know what’s wrong.
It’s sunny here too. Not been out yet. We are picking grandson up from childminder and having him overnight.
Last night we felt warm all evening so that was better. So much for new boiler and hive.
Great your DDs wishes for Halloween came true Euronorris. Great bargains.
Alfie thanks for linkvery interesting.
DH has just wrapped up some things for DD including a really long very, very colourful scarf I bought at airport on way home. I thought why did I buy that but it was because she looses scarves all the time I thought you can’t miss this!
A few years ago a small tree was planted on pavement outside, can’t remember name it’s not Rowan. Now it has most beautiful red leaves. Looked beautiful an hour ago with sun on it.
Better do some ironing. Good luck everyone.0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone
So pleased your son was seen quickly by the doctor indie - hope
he doesn't have to wait too long for specialist appointment. xx
Hope you have a lovely weekend leanfun, celebrating DDs

^^^ I've never heard of the Fried Egg Jellyfish so googled.....
It may look a little bit like a Haribo sweet gone rogue, but this is
actually our phacellophora camtschatica, or otherwise known as a
Fried Egg Jellyfish! This special breed of jellyfish is renowned for
its likeness to the egg, but these aren’t for eating - instead they’re
a part of the extensive breeding programme that we have here at
SEA LIFE London.

Morning,
Really windy here! Think there will be a few Firework displays cancelled, not that there are any here. We are going to one on Monday so glad we didn't book anywhere for tonight. Don't really like being away on Saturday nights as there is more likely to be noise at night.
Indie, hope your son gets sorted out soon. It is good he is still at home. I always worry when anything wrong with mine as they are all away and DS3 doesn't have a partner (although DD reckons he has met someone)
Hope your DD likes her scarf leanfun.Must admit I tend to wear long scarves. Expect you had fun with your GS.
I have seen lots of jelly fish at Sealife centres Alfie. Don't mind seeing them there but scary when in the sea! Remember having to get kids out of water in Majorca and Norfolk when lots of them appeared . Have never seen the Fried Egg one though and I see it isn't dangerous.
DD's cat brought a mouse into her house this morning and she spent 2 hrs trying to catch it to put it back outside!
Must get on, although doesn't look like we will be out today.

Morning, thanks for the link Alfie. Never knew there was jelly fish that looked like an egg. I love watching them swimming around but don't fancy being near any. I hear from friends some can sting and it's painful. Son wasn't well at work last night so they sent him home early, think the Dr will put him sick now. She did say go to work and see what happens. I hope he don't have to wait too long to see a specalist as well. He has another appointment with Dr Monday so see what happens then. I have just put 2 lots of washing out as the sun is out with a slight breeze so should dry ok. I think a few people round here will be having firework party's tonight as they did last year so tv will be put up so dog won't notice noise too much.Hope you all have a good weekend.0

:hello: Good morning all
It's a mild n' damp start to the day here. We've had quite a
bit of rain through the night & the garden is very soggy now! I'm
guessing that there won't be so much gardening going on
today!
Tomorrow's looking better though,so maybe today's a good
time to catch up on the dreaded housework & boring filing etc!
Sorry to hear that your son was taken poorly yet again at work
indie. Hopefully, he'll receive the appointment from the
specialist soon, after seeing the doctor tomorrow. xx
Found the following this morning (linked to yesterday's
item re fried egg jellyfish):(:( ......
Underwater Video Shot In Gozo Quickly Goes From Beautiful To
Worrying
If even we can't tell the difference, imagine how much tougher it
must be for a hungry turtle
Even if you're terrified of jellyfish, we can all admit there's a
certain haunting beauty about these eternal creatures. And while
we'd usually welcome any underwater clips showing them off in
their natural habitat, we couldn't help but cringe at this latest one.
What was meant to be an enchanting video of a flood of fried egg
jellyfish in Gozo quickly turned sour as dozens of plastic bags could
be seen floating alongside them.
The clip, shot by local marine biologist Alan Deidun, features an
entire swarm of the beautiful yellow creatures, but some angles
gave viewers a glimpse into the confusing - and terrifyingly
dangerous - situation a turtle can find itself in.
Shot at Wied l-Għasri on the sister island, the "peculiar mix" of
jellyfish and plastic litter soon drew in thousands of views and
concerned comments...... >>>

Plastic again!!!Poor marine life.
Anyhow on a much happier note, didn't hear many fireworks
going off last night (thank goodness) & puddy cat happily
carried on sending up the zzzzzzz's!I'm hoping
for the same tonight.
Have a lovely and safe Sunday all & please take care whatever
your plans.

Quiet day here today.
Lots of fireworks here over weekend. Friday Evening I really jumped when the fireworks started. There’s a field just up the road from us behind some houses and they had organised display. We had a wonderful view but GS was not interested.
Thanks for the info on jelly fish Alfie. I’ve seen quite a few on Madeira but not the egg one.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Be lucky.0 -
Good morning,
After a really dreadful wet and windy Saturday we finally have sunshine!
Got a load of washing out and dressing gowns in the wash so hopefully get everything dry before we head off tomorrow.
We are going to the firework display at Strathclyde Park tomorrow night the same as we did last year so really looking forward to it. Then we have a nice spa hotel booked with some of DH's birthday vouchers for Tuesday night and heading to Loch Lomond after that before having a night in Glasgow on Thursday. All bargain nights I hasten to add!Just hope weather doesn't turn too wet, doesn't look like it will be too cold.
Hope things go ok at Drs for your son indie.
Is everyone doing the new Quidco instant win? DH and I have each won £1.50 on it. Must get on.
Hope everyone has a lucky week.

I'm totally with you on this ^^^ fire**fly. :T I've lost count
of the number of articles I've seen relating to the harm
fireworks are having (mentally & physically) on the elderly,
YO's, pets/wildlife etc etc. The list just goes on & on.
:T Bravo Italy:
https://www.lonelyplanet.com/news/2018/07/05/italian-town-silent-fireworks/
https://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/surrey-news/wildlife-aid-foundation-urge-people-15308364
^^^ ... and the Wildlife Aid Foundation https://www.wildlifeaid.org.uk/
are now urging people to hold silent firework displays on
Bonfire Night.
Failing the above, surely the next best alternative would
be to allow professionally organised firework displays only.
The trouble is, fireworks always seem to end up getting/
falling into the wrong hands.
On a happier note, I ended up having a totally lazy day
yesterday! All my good intentions of doing the housework
etc magically disappeared! :j
I spent the day curled up on my settee with puddy cat
happily comping away - loved every minute! It's decent
weather today & I can hear the garden calling me!So
that's where I'll be for a good part of the day.
Hope everything goes ok re your son's appointment today
indie. xx
Have a lovely and lucky day all and please take care
whatever your plans.
