Just finished sorting out all the washing and ironing and packed my stuff in the case. Heading off to Hartlepool tomorrow and then moving about in the area. Got 3 nights at £23.50 each at Premier Inn and then finishing with a night near the Metro Centre at a Holiday Inn Express. Don't think the forecast is good but will be nice to get away again.
Had some treatment on tooth and have to go back on Wednesday. If it is ok I will be getting some root canal treatment so fingers crossed.
DS3 went back to Pitlochry yesterday after a brief visit.

Indie, hope you had a nice time at Beefeater. We go to them sometimes when we are staying at Premier Inns (especially if they have sent an offer or we have enough points for a free bottle of wine!)

DD has ordered her car from Glasgow and it is being delivered to another Arnold Clark garage at Dumfries on Sunday so hope all will be ok. It is a Corsa demonstator, the exact model she wanted.

Glad you had a nice break in Barcelona rose. Only ever spent a day there and would like to spend more time sightseeing in it.

Thank goodness I have seen you here shiels thought the inn had been abandond. shiels Barcelona is brill if you are interested in history like me the buildings are brilliant as well . You see so many centuries of occupation and culture. Exporling them was great as well. Was there when I was 13 and loved it so has taken me many years to go back. Hotel was fab as well so could take it as easy as I wanted to. Forgot how Spanish cooking was so good as long as you go back to village cooking . I found a brill family restaurant and they made me very wellcome. It was in Barcelona but there is a family vibe there as well even though it is a major city. Enjoy Hartlepool shiels

Hi everyone. Half terms over we just need to recuperate.

Indie so pleased you have your meds. Dr should have apologised it must have been hard carrying while in a lot of pain. Pleased your DS and SGF enjoyed the show shame about the demonstration. Hope you all enjoyed his birthday meal.

Sheils know exac5ly what you mean about cars. Years ago DH was well caught with a car from a dealer. Hope your DDs car turns out to be a good buy. Our last car was a year old and has turned out to be an excellent buy.
    Enjoy Hartlepool and that area.

Rose so pleased to hear you had a break, expect you enjoyed the blue sky. Certainly much colder here now.

Alfie hope you have had a wonderful time with your family.

Hi Euronorris well done with your exams. Ho I too had 10p Top cash back.

    Good luck everyone.

    Hi all,

Having nice time but it is cold! Think they had snow just half an hour away from us last night. Got lots vouchers etc for meals - free bottle wine at Brewers Fayre last night, 40% off at Beefeater tonight for starters.

Well done on exams Euro. Are you doing Accountancy? My eldest is an accountant in Sydney although has fancier title and salary now.

Hope you are settled back home now rose. We are heading your way for the firework display again this year.

DD gets her car tomorrow leanfun so hoping it is good. She hasn't even seen it yet! Seems a good price for nearly new car. The insurance is so expensive though. Expect you will be glad of a break now.
Wonder when we will get some GKs!

    Hi Shiels

Not accountancy, no. Financial Planning. So I have my Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and am now working towards my Advanced Diploma.

I've also got exams in Long Term Care financial planning and Equity Release as I support a SOLLA accredited adviser who specialises in advising clients with Long Term Care financial planning needs.

It's a really interesting area and I feel like I am really helping people. Especially when their attorneys/deputies come to us feeling scared and overwhelmed, and unsure of whether or not their Mum/Dad's money is going to last, and we can provide them with a solution that should last for the remainder of their lifetime and help them navigate all the various areas.
