Came back home yesterday. A bit disappointed we didn't get our cruise on Ullswater as it was a beautiful day but all sailings had been cancelled due to flooding at a different pier. The vouchers run out at the end of November and there aren't many sailings then so doubt we will get using them. The scenery in the Lakes was amazing at this time of the year with all the colours.
Had another nice break anyway and looks like we got away from Wales in time as they had some really bad weather after we left according to BIL. It is raining here although forecast was for dry this morning. DD and her bf coming up for dinner so will be another busy day trying to get organised.
Well done on another win indie, glad you have a good home for it.
Must get on. Good luck to all.

Just a quick pop in. It’s been hectic here. We had all three of our children and five grandchildren here at weekend. Not all sleeping here I hasten to add. Great to see all grandchildren together for first time. They are growing so quickly.
It was raining yesterday so DS and I took his two to Greenwich Martitime Museum. They have lots of hands on activities for the children.
Sheils so pleased to hear you missed the bad weather in Wales had been wondering about you. The lakes must have been great with all the autumn colours.
Well done on win Indie. Hope you get your bird feeders up.
Have a good week everyone and good luck.0 -

Morning. Alfie great to here you had such a good weekend with family and all enjoyed the birthday party.
Here DH and I managed to take DSs two to the London Eye. DS does not like heights. It was very hot and crowded with tourists but they were very good and stayed close. It was our first time on it and the half hour went very quickly. I think it’s just so over priced but managed to find a good discount on 365 days out. They loved th short 4D film experience which is by booking office and there were no queues there.
They go back to Scotland on Friday and school next Monday. Other GC Anne on half term next week.
Hope everyone is keeping well. Take care and good luck.0 -
Glad you both had lots of fun with your GKs Alfie and Leanfun.
Had lovely eveing with DD and her BF. DD has a placement 50 miles away so was fairly tired . Sounds like she will only have to drive half of it though as someone is giving her a lift from half way which will be handy. We had lots of clearing up to do this morning though!
Nearly got all the washing sorted though. Towels on the line and half the ironing done.
Got the Hobgoblin beer delivered yesterday and the hats today so just need the T-shirts now.
Hope everyone has a lovely day with lots of luck.

Morning, it's raining here at the moment. So no washing out for me.
Love the Twitter pun Alfie, hope the birdies do come. Good news your hobgoblins prizes have come sheils.
Just been to Tesco to pick meds up but surgery hasn't sent them ( more likely they didn't put the script in, so they are putting an emergency one for friday in) can't give me an emergency supply because it's a controlled drug so just have to suffer till they come in. not a lot i can do till they come in. I am working this afternoon so must go and get changed. Hope you have a lucky day0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all ok.I ended up being quite a busy bee
yesterday, despite the wet weather! Took myself off to B&Q
and came home with .... a duvet, pillows, Mulberry scented tea
lights. Xmas tree lights and ......... a Christmas tree! :j:j :rudolf:
I'd sent my old tree to the tip after last Xmas. He'd served me
well for 20+ years but had finally given up the ghost.
The tree I bought yesterday was very similar to my old one,
6' high, very green& at a bargain price of £17!!! :money:
They were flying off the shelves, so thought it best to buy
one asap, before they were all snatched up.
I put it together as soon as I got home & he looks lovely.
He's been packed away for now, until early December. Can
you tell how much I love Christmas?! :xmassign:
While I was out I missed a Royal Mail delivery so I'm off
out this morning to collect the item. I actually received an
email from the Woodland Trust a few days ago saying they
had started to send out the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy
tree boxes, containing 5 saplings (I was lucky enough to be
one of approx five thousand chosen) so I'm guessing that's
what it'll be. :j
The Woodland Trust had mentioned in an earlier email that the
boxes would fit through standard letterboxes, but my letterbox
is so small it can only cope with letters & very slim packages!
On a different note ......
The winning images from Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2018 have
been announced!
https://www.discoverwildlife.com/photo-galleries/wildlife-photographer-of-the-year-2018-winners/
^^^Absolutely stunning :T:T:T Although I did find 'The sad
clown' very distressing. Poor monkey.
Well the sun is peeking out from behind the clouds,
& it looks as if we're in for a beautiful weather day today.
Have a lovely & lucky Thursday all and please take care
whatever your plans.

Morning,
Lovely and sunny here so getting dressing gowns and last of towels done.
DH had to take car for a recall thing but shouldn't be long. These things are annoying as garage 30 miles away. Anyway, hopefully get some gardening done later as time is getting in.
Great you are getting excited about Xmas Alfie. No children here and lots people working or abroad so expect we will just have DD, her BF and one excitable pup! We are going to see "Wizard of Oz" in Blackpool the week before Xmas though. DD and BF have copied us and are going too so we will overlap by a day. Thought we had booked seats across the isle from each other which we were astonished about - we had ,but one night different!
That must be really annoying not getting your meds indie. Hope you are feeling ok.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
