:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all ok & yippee - it's the weekend! :j
Bit of a misty/murky start to the day here & feels a touch cooler.
A mix of rain & sunshine has been predicted todaywith
a sunny Sunday expected tomorrow, hopefully!
Lol - the following poem springs to mind ......
Whether the weather
Whether the weather be fine,
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot,
We'll weather the weather
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not!
^^ Sounds about right!
I've got so many things to catch up with over the next couple
of days - must go out this morning and get some provisions in
because my cupboards are looking mighty bare!
Should really replace the summer flowering plants in my
tubs too. They've looked stunning all through the summer
but it's time now to start thinking about putting winter
flowering plants in.
Guess I'll have to squeeze in a trip to visit my favourite
garden centre this weekend - not that I need any
excuses!
Only just seen your post sheils. Sounds as if you had a very
busy time yesterday! Have a safe trip to Chester tomorrow &
a lovely break in Aberwyswth.
Have a brilliant Saturday all and please take care whatever
your plans.

Morning. Hope you enjoy your days off Indie and there were no spiders in cupboard.
Sheils that was a long day for you with the puppy. Hope you have a safe journey and enjoy Wales.
Welcome Mummymollie. Good luck with comping.
Alfie anyone could guess your favourite shopping place is the garden centre. Hope have some good finds.
Rose made me smile thinking about your son and the voice messages.
Our DS is fetching his two from Scotland on Monday to stay with us. Have to say I’m wondering if their American accent will be gone. Last January GS was 9 and GD 6. Last time they came GD said she had learnt Why eye.
We are going to be very busy next week. Looking forward to seeing them. GS near us is very disappointed his half term is after their two weeks off. Still he’ll be around too when they are here. He’s 7 so it will be high jinks with them running around.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend. Be lucky.0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone, happy Sunday to all
Crikey, we ended up with a wet n' chilly day yesterday!
Didn't go to the garden centre in the end - no fun choosing
plants in pouring rain.
Today however, we're in for a bright and beautiful day. :j
The sun is shining away as I type.
Just been out in the garden to shoo away a local puddy
cat who was lurking near the bird feeders, hoping to catch
himself a tasty meal.
Sounds as if you're in for a busy time over the next week
or so leanfun!Guess what 'special' day it is today :grinheart ......
This Sunday is Grandparents Day in the UK and we can definitely
feel the excitement. Grandparents come in all shapes and sizes
(step-grandparents, paternal grandparents and even grandparents
who provide kinship care), but they all have one thing in common
- the joy they experience from knowing and being able to support
their grandchild.
Becoming a grandparent changes your world in so many ways, so
we think it's only fair that the world gives a little back one day
each year. So what is Grandparents Day and when do you
celebrate? Here's what you need to know >>>

Have a lovely day all and please take care whatever your
plans.

Had a lovely afternoon in Chester yesterday and a good meal at Cafe Rouge using Meerkat 2for1 deal. Going to visit Barmouth this morning before heading to our caravan near Aberwyswyth. Never been to Barmouth before - love seeing new places.
Sounds like you are having fun in the garden Alfie. Wish we had your enthusiasm for it!
Wishing everyone a lucky week.

Battersea cats need knitters help this Wool Week!
To mark the start of Wool Week 2018, the feline residents of
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home are appealing to knitting enthusiasts
to create woollen toys for them to play with. The cats at Battersea
have always enjoyed playing with knitted mice and other items
kindly donated by members of the public, and as the winter
evenings draw in the charity hopes cat-loving crafters will get their
needles out for a great cause.
Battersea provides each of their cats with toys to keep them
engaged and entertained during their stay and once they are ready
to go to their new homes, each cat takes their favourite playthings
to help them settle in to their new surroundings.
Rob Young, head of catteries at Battersea, said: “On any given day
we have approximately two hundred cats across our three sites in
London, Brands Hatch and Windsor, so demand for toys is always
high. Knitted mice are a particular favourite for a lot of our cats
but they do also enjoy playing with a range of other toys. We
really appreciate the time and effort people put in to create toys
for our feline friends and cannot thank them enough.”

Morning all, Very sunny but a bit chilly here this morning. Alfie great link, having inherited a load of yarn im on a mission after christmas to use it up for charity, i'm one of those who needs to keep hands busy I get board. Oh shiels Lucky you is that a van you own/rent or one you have just booked for holiday. I haven't looked into the Meercat meals, can you match them up with a cinema and meal the same day?
Speaking of Caravans I am taking the boys to Whitstable for a week on Saturday Just need to get away, My road isn't very nice at the moment and home doesn't feel safe at least my family make it a home.
Had a mishap Friday night. I could enter this for a why do you want to win comp.
We found a stray chow dog (No lead/collar) running about, I locked the cats out in the kitchen, bought the dog in, used facebook and refound the owners . All good right? Unbeknown to me one of the cats had marked his house on the floor below the stairs.(Even though he has been done). My son 7 cleaned it up for me (Really lovely of him) However I came down the stairs slipped fell on my back, smashed my arm into the banister and broke my toe. That's when my little nugget had told me what happened and he had used polish to clean up the pee ( I have no sense of smell). I am eternally greatful that 3 of my toes are nearly the same length and are bracing the middle one!
Anyway That aside has been a great week. Have a fab day all and mind out of cat pee !!Compers challenge 27/70

Just back from the park with the two GKs. It was good to see them yesterday. They have come with a list of things they want to do. Top of the list is to visit our GS near by. We are picking him up from school tomorrow and Thursday.
Mummy2threeboys sorry to hear of your fall and Brocken toe. Such a shame when your DS was doing his best. Hope you have a great week next week in Whitstable.
sheils sounds as though you are having a great time. Hope you enjoy Aberystwyth.
Alfie never heard of the woollen toys for dogs great idea. Thanks for the link.0 -
Had a lovely time in Aberystwyth today. We took the train in which is a bit of a novelty for us as we don't live near a railway! DH likes to have a rest from driving sometimes.mummy2threeboys wrote: »Oh shiels Lucky you is that a van you own/rent or one you have just booked for holiday. Just a rented one from Parkdean resorts mummy2. Cost £139 for 4 nights so not too bad. Have a few hotels booked to go with it.
Meercat meals doesn't have any link to the cinema offer so no reason you can't use both on the same night.
Hope your toes isn't too sore and you get a nice break.
Sounds like you are having a busy time with the gks leanfun.
Going to a Nat Trust place near Aberaeron tomorrow and then meeting DHs brother for late lunch so that will be nice. It is over 2 years since we saw him and he had had a major op then.
