WHAT’S THE BIG PET QUIZ ALL ABOUT?
As the UK's leading veterinary charity, PDSA has been treating
poorly pets for over 100 years. This year, after conducting our 8th
annual PDSA Animal Wellbeing (PAW) Report, we've designed The
Big Pet Quiz to raise awareness of the 5 Welfare Needs - things all
pets need to lead healthy and happy lives.
THE PAW REPORT (available to download)
The PAW Report is a nationwide survey that assesses the state of
the pet nation. Since 2011 we've spoken to over 68,000 pet
owners, vets and children. The Report reveals that although we
are undoubtedly a nation of animal lovers, awareness of the 5
Welfare Needs and how to fully provide them for our pets is very
low. Take our quiz today to see how well you are meeting the 5
Welfare Needs for your pet!
Winners will be informed by email or post within 30 days of the
prize draw date of 31 December 2018.

Morning folks. Does not seem so cold this morning but it is a bit overcast.Ds phoned me last night to say he had something he needed to speak to me about so is calling in on his way home from work. He said not to worry as it is nothing serious. Sounds ominous. Our new lidl store opens today it is just up the road from me. Five minute walk. They knocked down the old one and rebuilt it and it is very much bigger. So looking forward to a stroll aound it and having a nosey. Will wait though until the excitement of a new store calms down then will head up (maybe next week). Hope I find everyone well this morning. Good luck with comping.0
-
Morning, well done on the wins. Thanks for the comp Alfie i choose dog and got the same score as you, so fingers crossed someone at the inn wins the comp. Hi ff, hope you and hubby are well, i know what you mean about the winter woolies coming out although i haven't put the quilt back on the bed yet but don't think it will be long before i do. It's foggy and damp here at the moment but hopefully will brighten up later.
Hope you all have a lucky day.0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all in fine fettle today.Happy World Animal
Day.
https://www.worldanimalday.org.uk/
World Animal Day is an international day of action for animal rights
and welfare celebrated annually on October 4, the feast day of
Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.

Can't get over how glorious the weather has been down here,
especially the last few days! Similar to the summer but without
the dreadful humidity.Haven't turned the heating
on yet. It's a foggy start to the day but hopefully the sun will
come shining through later. Fingers n' paws crossed!
Have been making the most - out gardening - weeding, mowing,
pruning etc just in case the weather suddenly decides to go
pear-shaped!
Talking about weather, (as we do) - there's an interesting
programme on this evening, ITV 7.30: 'Wild Weather UK: Winners
and Losers'. Laura Tobin investigates the consequences of this
year's extreme UK climate.
Very well done on winning the sport sunglasses rose! :T :j
Love the sound of DD's puppy sheils - so cute. :grinheart Brilliant
that Angus is putting up with him! :T
Talking of puppies has just reminded me that it's Dogtober! :A
October is Dogtober, a month long event to raise money for Dogs
for Good.
It’s time to celebrate every dog, not only ours. Incredible things
happen when you bring people and dogs together, you know that.
We train assistance dogs to help children and adults with all sorts
of challenges, including autism, disabilities, special educational
needs, and dementia. The potential to do more good is
extraordinary, but as a small charity, we need your help to
increase our funds.
Choose a Dogtober event
We’ve come up with six easy events you can take part in to raise
money during Dogtober, from wearing your wellies to baking a
cake.
Dogtober is a time for fun, but has a serious outcome. We get
2,500 requests for help each year and desperately need more
funds to help more people. Please use Dogtober as an opportunity
to tell others about our work. You can do this by sharing our
success stories.
Let’s make Dogtober the most fun month of the year!
