Morning folks. Bit dull and cold here but no rain. Just bought a double pack of Amazon Echo Dots for kids Christmas so they can have one each in their rooms. They are on a TSV on QVC. So the Echo I bought for them all last year can stay in the kitchen and the GK's wont have to fight over Alexa lol. I am having a lazy day today and cooking lemon chicken for dinner. One of my favourites. Hope I find everyone well.

Cloudy here and had a few spots of rain but supposed to be ok. Got more of Ds3s washing - think he keeps finding stuff from earlier as has been all over the place last few weeks. Just as well it hasn't been rainy!
Can't believe it ,but won case of Hobgoblin IPA on the key comp this time. Won it once before and got 6 bottles, so DH will be pleased.
Well done on the Zizzi voucher indie - lovely treat for DS and GF.

I like Zizzi when I have an offer. Have swapped Nectar points for voucher with them before as sometimes have good offers on that. They also send birthday presents of free Prosecco and free meal etc if you register. Had missed that comp so thanks, will be trying it.

You are getting on with your Xmas shopping rose - well done.
I don't have that much to buy these days. Have got some nice canvas prints from my Posterlounge win for presents which is handy for extras along with cash which my lot all appreciate! (apart from DS1 obviously)

    Must get on.

DS phoned and asked would I mind an extra two for dinner. So dil's mum and gran are coming as well. So asked him to check if they liked lemon chicken so ok with that just as well I was making extra for freezer and GD has decided she would rather have ordinary chicken so will keep a portion aside for her and not cover it in lemon sauce. She also want roast potatoes with it lol. She is not fussy about her food but does not eat a lot so better giving her something she will eat. White lillies have opened up in my boquet of flowers and I have been sneezing for the last hour so have cut out stamens. Hopefully that will cure it.

always used to go for the broken biscuits lol biscuit.gif
    http://www.woolworthsmuseum.co.uk/1960s-food4thought.htm
"They were an instant hit. Both the 'perfect' grade and 'broken biscuits' were competitively priced.
The range was phased out in the Seventies,
Even packet biscuits were dropped in 1985 along with the
    whole food offer."

great links as usual Alfie thanks :T:A
blowkisses.gifgood luck all for EOM comps x

Morning folks. Does not seem so cold this morning. Was not running for the thermostat when I got out of bed. Had a fab dinner yesterday once DS and GS had stopped raiding the freezer. Made a pear crumble for afters which I have not made in a long while. Need to go out for a while at some point today. Family all enjoyed their holiday and are tanned and well. DS hired a car for a few days and said he had never experienced roads like that in his life. GD was very wary in the souks etc but overall ok. Anyway hope I find you all well.

Morning, glad your DS and family had a good holiday rose. Bet they felt the drop in temps when they landed back. I got a few things at boot sale yesterday, and a lot of fruit and veg as well. It took 2 hours to walk round all the stalls so was glad to get home and sit down, lol.
Hope you all have a lucky day with it being the start to a new month.

    :hello: Good morning everyone,

Hope you're all in fine fettle on this glorious first day of
October. :) It's a beautiful start to the month here but most
    definitely feels autumnal now!

Very well done on winning a Zizzi voucher indie! :T Love
their food. Wonderful treat for your son & his
    girlfriend.

Sounds as if you had a very successful time yesterday at
the car boot sale. :D Years ago we used to have a good
clear out every so often & sold a fair bit of the stuff (including
old toys, clothes etc) at car boot sales. On our first morning,
we arrived, full of anticipation (as newbies :p) to unpack the
car (probably about 5.30am'ish), when we were suddenly
surrounded by vultures (heavily disguised as people!) - all
peering into the car trying to see what we had for sale!
:rotfl::rotfl: Used to scare me witless! :rotfl:

Brilliant winning a case of Hobgoblin yesterday sheils! Very
    well done!

Sounds as if you had a lovely time catching up with your
family yesterday rose. You're doing well with your Xmas
    pressies stash! :xmassmile

Lol fire**fly, I'd forgotten all about the broken biccies at
    Woolies!

Time is getting on so must fly, off out to get provisions this
    morning. :p

Have a lovely & lucky day all and please take care whatever
    your plans.

Morning. Hard to think it’s October already.

Well done on wins Sheils and Indie.

Rose you had some good bargains the other day made me smile about your neighbours cars. Great to put things by for Christmas. Great to hear your family enjoyed their holiday. Lemon chicken sounded delicious.

Thanks for the woolies pic Alfie. I had a Saturday job there I can remember selling groceries. You had to be quick at adding up.

Hope everyone has a good and lucky week.

It was thankyou leanfun. Because GD asked for roast potatoes DS asked for some as well so ended up cooking a big bowl full and stuck them in the middle of the table. So we had lemon chicken with rice and a side of roasties lol.
