Morning, oh my wingo bet that was a bit of a shock.lol. At least you know now.Glad you had a good weekend Alfiemyour allowed to be proud of your granddaughters that's what grandkids are for. I worked yesterday and couldn't wait to get home, it wasn't the residents but the staff i wanted to get away from. I am sure they want to wear the oldies out first as most are 30 +years younger than me and i seem to do the bigger load of work.Never mind i am off till saturday now so time to rest.I have my mamaogram check this morning so off out soon. Hope you all have a lucky day.0

Morning folks. A bit cold here today although sun is out. Have to head out for a while today so neighbour is acting as taxi service. She's a lifesaver do not take any of them for granted. Had a bit of a fright last night woke up with something on my face it was a moth it just felt so weird something crawling on me. Must have come in the window when I had light on last night. Anyway hope I find you all well. Happy comping.0

:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all ok.It's another beautiful start to the day
here but it was fairly chilly first thing! Brrrr! Had to dig out a
warmer top!
Spent yesterday afternoon out gardening, got a fair bit done
but will carry on today with more pruning etc. Must remember
to catch up with comps at some point though!
Lol at the little kiddy wingo come playtime! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Must admit, he does still sound a cutie - bet you were gob-
smacked! :eek: :rotfl::rotfl:
Brilliant you tagged your sis in a comp & she actually won! :T :j
You've still got the magic comping touch! :T
Hope you have a well-deserved rest indie, you've certainly
earned it. :A
Snap re your mammogram check, I had mine a couple of
weeks ago & received the all clear letter last week. Apparently
quite a few women either miss/cancel appointments. Not sure
why & the reasoning behind it? At the end of the day it's
such an simple test, taking just 10mins or so. Think the staff
get quite frustrated (to put it politely) when people just don't
bother turning up, without informing anyone!
I think I would have woken up in a fright too rose if I felt
something large and furry crawling over my face in the
night! :rotfl: I love moths but wouldn't be so keen in
that sort of situation! :rotfl:
Well, must get on .... have prattled on enough!
Have a lovely & lucky day all and please take care whatever
your plans.

Morning all.
Sheils great to hear your trip was not all rain and you have had some sunshine. Enjoy Monmouth. Safe journey home tomorrow.
Indie hope you have restful days off.
Ho Wingo well done to your sister. I told DD1 about a competition at her local shopping centre and she won a £50 M&S voucher. She was over the moon. You would have been shocked by the little on in the playground.
Alfie great you saw your GDs. They grow up so quickly.
Take care everyone and be lucky.0 -
Afternoon folks I am looking for something different to cook with mince for tomorrow. Not spag bol lasagne or anything to do like that. Anyone got a tried and trusted different recipe.?0

:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all ok.It's going to be another beautiful
sunny day here. :j I had a brilliant day yesterday - was out
gardening for a good part of the afternoon again - really got
stuck in, making the most of the weather.
Forgot to mention - received my flu jab letter about 3 weeks
ago and duly booked my appointment. Went to the docs
surgery for my B12 jab the other day and the lovely 'needle
jabbing lady' (known her for years) asked if she could give
me the flu jab at the same time. Well I jumped at the chance!
Not only does it save me a trip to the flu clinic this Saturday,
but it also releases my slot to another patient. Happy days! :TAfternoon folks I am looking for something different to cook with mince for tomorrow. Not spag bol lasagne or anything to do like that. Anyone got a tried and trusted different recipe.?
Sorry rose, unable to help - don't do meat.
Have a lovely & lucky Wednesday all and please take care
whatever your plans.

Morning, we had a lovely day here yesterday after a cold start, should be the same again so getting out in the garden later. The only thing i do different with mince is fajitas, years ago i promised my son some for tea and when i looked didn't have anything but mince in so did it with that and he loved them so make them now again as it makes a change from chicken in them. Glad you got your flu jab early Alfie. Our Tesco is doing them and everytime you go to collect a prescription they are offering you the jab as well.It amazed me how many people so "no" will go to my Drs to have it. He tried to tell them it's the same jab but some won't listen, lol. Anyway off to make a cuppa, hope you all have a lucky day.0

Morning everyone. Cold and wet here today. Talking of flu jabs mine is tomorrow so will hobble up to surgery. Have got a bit of a runny nose this morning hoping it does not turn in to a full blown cold. No cough or anything so should be ok for jab. I don't understand peeps that are offered it refusing. Do not really agree with it being offered in supermarkets (suppose they make money on it) but docs surgery can give it even if you are not entitled for a small cost. Know docs are pushed but our surgery nurses do them. Hope I am finding everyone well today. Good luck with comps.0

Neighbour brought me down a couple of jars of chutney that she made from tomatoes her father had from his greenhouse. Had some last year as well and it is fab and I am not a lover of chutneys. Will have to leave them a month or so to mature she said I can have it straight away but is better left for a while. Last year took one to DS's for evening buffet style help yourself when you are hungry buffet at Christmas and everyone loved it. DIL's gran took the 1/2 jar that was not in a bowl home. Have ordered her a basket of flowers from neighbour that has florist shop to say thankyou as it was her that was my taxi yesterday. She should get them when shop closes. Hope she likes them as I have ordered a special that she does with Thorntons chocs. She puts them on wires and does artificial leaves and flowers in between.0

:hello: Good morning everyone
I hope you're all in fine fettle today. The weather was
gorgeous here yesterday, very warm! Apparently it's going to
be similar today (after the fog has lifted). Still fairly chilly
in the evenings and first thing in the morning though!
Your lovely neighbour sounds an absolute angel rose! Hope she
enjoys the special basket of flowers with Thornton choccies -
sounds beautiful.
I had a wrestling match with my gorgeous pampas grass
yesterday.
Decided to have a good clear out of all the old 'dead looking'
leaves hiding underneath. So there I was, on hands and knees
getting stuck in! But pampas wasn't happy .... to cut a long
story short ..... it ended in victory for both. :j I managed to
have a good clear out (even though I ended up looking like
Worzel Gummidge with dead straw like leaves stuck in my
hair & clothes) & pampas got his own back by lashing
out with his very sharp edged/lethal leaves. Never a dull
moment in my life! :rotfl: Anyhow, we both survived the
ordeal & he's looking so much better now!
So pleased I didn't plant the pampas in my front garden
though! :eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
