:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all well.I agree indie, beautiful weather but
can definitely feel the drop in temperatures. Quite autumnal
now! I've started to put on warmer tops first thing in the
morning & also in the evening.
Your rose sounds beautiful, such a bargain too! I can remember
my daughter buying a tiny potted plant for me years ago.
Think it was from Woolies & cost her near to nothing. (I've fond
memories of that store, such a shame they ended up closing).
Well, what was no more than a stick was duly planted and
over the years grew into a stunning Acer, it's my pride &
joy. :grinheart
Just been reminiscing about Woolies, googled & found the
following .....
^^^ Those were the days! :T

Well done on winning the Halloween hats sheils! :T :j
Not entirely sure what you'd do with them either!
Have a lovely & lucky Saturday all and please take care
whatever your plans.

Morning folks. Cloudy and cold here this morning. Went over to shop for some milk and it was brrrrrrrr. So think we have seen last of summer. Remember Woolworths well alfie used to love going in on a Saturday and coming out with some pick and mix and maybe a colouring book. Bin men are here what a racket they make. At least we do not get them at 7am on a Sunday now they must have had their route changed. Hope everyone is well and has a nice weekend. Family is home from holiday today so looking forward to seeing them tomorrow.0

Nice sunny morning here but could be warmer! Got more washing out - never ending when DS3 here.
Hoping to get the grass cut later. Expect that will be the last cut as we never seem to be able to cut it late in the year as it is always too wet.
Well I had 2 little wins yesterday - £1 from GfK Media and a Hobgoblin T-shirt from the room comp! Hope T-shirt is a different one to the ones I won last few years. They are really good quality and DH likes them.
I used to love Woolies too - expect most of us bought our first singles there. Was never a pic'n'mix fan though.
Have a lovely weekend all. Be nice for you to have the family back rose.

Neighbour took me down to B & M's as they have an offer on a 6.5ltr slow cooker for a £1. My slow cooker is large so the chance of a smaller one for small amounts appealed. Bought 4 as I am going to give them to family as well at Christmas as an extra. Can't complain at the price. She bought 2 as well so there was only 2 left after us. Make is Goodmans for anyone interested.0

Asda and Tesco are selling off Persil Non Bio 45 wash for £1.50. Told neighbour and she has just phoned me to say she got 10 so we have 5 each will give some to DIL. They are discontinuing it for a new 40 wash size. She said our Asda had loads so she is going to let others know.0

Neighbour has just taken her sister down to Asda and B & M and is bringing me another slow cooker and some more washing powder for DS and DIL. She says B&M have a load more slow cookers out on a display. Phoned dil's mum and she has got a slow cooker for herself and some soap powder for herself and her mum. So will keep all my soap powder and have a load for DIL who can only use non bio as she has sensitive skin. Was so funny a lot of my neighbours cars disapeared within about 5 mins of news being passed on and they are slowly coming back with slow cookers and soap powder.0

I recently received the following via Facebook and wanted
to share ....
What can you do in one hour? By giving just one hour to Guide
Dogs you can help change a life
Donate an hour to Guide Dogs and change a life
Every October we celebrate our life changing work during and
around Guide Dogs Week, which runs from 6 October to 14
October 2018. This special fundraising event marks the
anniversary of our very first working guide dog which was trained
in Wallasey, Merseyside.
During October, we will be hosting hundreds of collections on high
streets and within local stores across the UK and we need as many
supporters as possible to join in the fun and help us change lives.
By donating an hour of your time, you will have the chance to
meet new people, learn more about our work and most
importantly – have fun!
Every hour someone in the UK starts to lose their sight. When
someone loses their sight, Guide Dogs are there to make sure they
don’t lose their freedom as well. For every £35 raised at a
collection we could fund a guide dog partnership to get out and
enjoy life for a whole week.
Please help ensure people with sight loss don’t get left out of life
with just one hour of your time.
It’s easy to join in and every hour you give will be life changing.
Thank you!
