We are back home now and I am up to my neck in washing! DS3 is back for a week or so, he has a new job but as he has a football match and Kevin Bridges to go to next week he isn't starting until Monday the 8th.
He has been quite clever though and worked it out so he has a huge wage this month due to working extra hours before he left Gleneagles. Not like him to work money things out properly! He is going to a 3 A rosette restaurant job this time in Pitlochry so is quite excited about it. Not too far from his friends at last job.
Anyway, had a lovely break and ticked off everything we meant to do.
Used up my cinema ticket win too by going to see "The Nun" and have been enjoying using the Meerkat 2 for 1 offer! (got house insurance from Go Compare)
At home now until the 7th when we are paying a quick visit to Chester and then off to a caravan in Aberwyswyth.
Had a good laugh at the Pampass Grass storyAlfie - had never heard that before. We saw a load of it growing at a house at Baggy Point in Devon
Must get on as going for haircuts this morning and probably visit parents too.
Wishing everyone a lucky day.

 Hi all, just popping by with the following wonderful
links ....
The first national Refill Day, promoting free drinking water, is
taking place on Thursday 27th September.
#RefillRevolution #NationalRefillDay
It's National Refill Day
You've seen the conquences of plastic pollution on social media
and Blue Planet ll, but now it's time to join the #RefillRevolution…
From plastic straws to reusable carrier bags, it seems like
everyone is finally doing their bit to curb plastic pollution – and
what better way to celebrate it than National Refill Day?
In a bid to encourage everyone to ditch the throwaway bottles and
commit to using the various water refill stations based around the
UK, National Refill Day is here to help you cut down on single-use
plastics.
With around 16 million bottles ending up in landfill and waterways
every single day in the UK alone, it's time to start investing in the
various companies that offer fantastic refilling services. Not only
will you better the environment, you'll also save a tonne of cash!
Here are 5 facts about the #RefillRevolution that you probably
didn't know already…
1. You can get free drinking water from loads of high street shops,
including John Lewis, Morrisons, Starbucks, Costa and Greggs!
2. Worried about keeping hydrated on your travels? Well now
Heathrow Airport has became the first official transport hub to sign
up and supply a free refill station.
3. You can now get an app which will tell you where your nearest
water refill station! It's called Refill.
4. The water industry has recently partnered with City to Sea in a
refill campaign that could save a billion bottles by 2025 with Refill
stations on every UK high street.
5. If just 1 in 10 Brits refilled their bottle once a week, it would
save 340 million plastic bottles every year!
Join the revolution and take a pic of your reusable water bottle the

Also ......
Red Squirrel Awareness Week is a great time to get involved with
projects and support conservation efforts to help our tufty eared
friends.
Since the introduction of grey squirrels in 1876, our native red
squirrel population has declined from 3.5 million to approximately
140,000, of which 75% or more are in Scotland. So how come
their population is in decline? Well, grey squirrels out-compete red
squirrels for food and resources, they also carry the squirrelpox
virus, which is harmless to grey squirrels but invariably fatal to red
squirrels.
We are working with partners on projects across Britain to develop
long-term conservation strategies. One way you can support the
work we do by purchasing our popular red squirrel tea towel! It's
packed with fun red squirrel facts and it's beautifully illustrated.

:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all ok & yippee, it's Friday ....... one day closer to
Christmas.
We've had gorgeous weather days recently - it looks as if
it'll stay the same for a few days yet, but not quite so warm. Thanks for the links. This is an amazing saving 5. If just 1 in 10 Brits refilled their bottle once a week, it would
save 340 million plastic bottles every year!
I'm so pleased I found out that it was Refill Day yesterday indie
& was able to post it. The figures are shocking! Thankfully, I think
the majority of people, not just in the UK but worldwide have
realized that the 'plastic pollution' has got to end.
In fact there's a programme, Monday evening on BBC1 (8.30) -
'Drowning in Plastic' re ocean pollution. I shall be watching
it, even though I know it'll be upsetting. I just think we
all need a kick up the backside, a harsh reminder & face up to
reality, before it's too late. _pale_
I'll step down from my soapbox now.
Hope you managed to get the last bits n' pieces yesterday re
garden.Lol - it's lucky my sense of humour kicked in when
I was tackling the pampas grass. :eek:I had a vague
recollection about the 'swingers' story, so funny! :rotfl:
In fact, there's quite a few people round my way who have
them planted in their front gardens, including one with three!
 Wonder what that could possibly mean! :rotfl::rotfl:
 Welcome back sheils. Not home for long then!Sounds
as if you had a brilliant time away. :T Hope you managed to
catch up with everything yesterday.
Well, talking of catching up, I must fly, lots to do today
including a pile of the dreaded ironing.
Have a lovely & lucky day all and please take care whatever
your plans.

Good Morning,
Been a cold night here but the sun is coming out now.
Believe it or not I got all the washing dry and ironed yesterday!
Not sure where the washing came from in the basket this morning though. Got another load in machine now (sigh)
DD was telling me yesterday we have a hide in our local woods for watching red squirrels and one of her friends went last week and saw loads so must go and have a look. Haven't been in those woods for a few years and never saw any squirrels there then.
Won Halloween hats on the new Hobgoblin room comp - not sure what I will do with them lol. DH would have liked some beer or another T-shirt (won a few for him over the years)
Anyway, must get on.
God luck to all.

Hi all we had a busy week.
Smiled about your tackle with the pampas grass Alfie. Agee with you about the plastic numbers are unbelievable. Thanks for the links.
Indie sounds as though you are cracking on with your garden.
Rose you have great neighbours. It’s good to share. Neighbour across the road and I used to do that when the children were younger.
Sheils pleased you had a good trip. Hope you found your parents well. Sorry it wasn’t a T shirt win for you but we’ll done on hats.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. Big hug for anyone needing one. Be lucky.0 -
Afternoon, giving garden a rest today as did most of the back garden yesterday and just need to do the containers out front. Can't believe a rose bush i brought for a pound 2 summers ago. I put it in a container till this spring then put it in the garden,it's still flowering and have 8 big red roses on and some buds still to come out. A good buy that was. We have another sunny day here but can tell the temps have dropped. Also noticed the trees are dropping their leaves so it autumn begins. Hope you all have a lucky day.0
